      Thanks Judi. Yes, I am hoping it will be a great trip. It usually is, so no need to think otherwise...or is there? No...there isn't.

    Pretty close to what you take. One challenge is how much paper to take as one may not be in a place to buy more. Watercolor blocks can be useful. The sketchbook is a must. On some trips I do not take an easel but plan on doing The Who trip with a sketchbook or use a WC block. So I sit and paint...also an inflatable sit pad so I can sit anywhere if the bench or rock is dirty or wet. That pad is a must have.

      Ooooh, I like the sound of the inflatable sit pad. What a great idea. I'm going to look into it. Thanks for the tip.

    I'll pack for you in 2020!! There's a ghostly portrait of you on the base of your expandable water container - intentional?!? 😆

      Not intentional, but maybe I could use it somehow.

    Interested to know which colours you have in that Holbein metal palette

    • @charles-sluga
      @charles-sluga  11 месяцев назад +1

      The metal palette isn't a Holbein, but I can't tell you what brand it is as I have had it forever ( bought it in Scotland) and I can't see any branding on it. The colours I use in that palette are the same as the colours I use in my studio pallette. There is another video covering that. Hope that helps.

    Do u take the same colours travelling that r in ur big palette, or do u choose a selected few to travel lighter?

    • @charles-sluga
      @charles-sluga  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the question xara art - Well, it depends on how much other stuff I am taking, but usually I take the same colours. Occasionally I cut back a bit and leave out Burn't Umber, Raw Umber and Viridian (Pthalo)... but what's another three tubes? Probably equals the weight and space of a pair of socks 😄

      @@charles-sluga Thank you for the reply😊 And true, even tho it doesn't take up much space, it's something I'd have to consider if I ever wanna travel with tubes. So far I am just using halfpans in a little box and only bring the colours I think I need with me. 🤔 Anyways, I hope u r having a great time!
