I always enjoy your videos and your emails. They are filled to the brim with GOOD stuff!😊
Thank you so much Jeanne, I really appreciate that!
I know It's a month ago,but you can use MAGNET TAPE !!!😊 It's thin so you can still close the tin and you can remove it easily if you don't like it anymore👍🏻
Thank you for the idea, I really appreciate it!
Hi, I love your travel set😊, it's soooo versatile, very convenient size, I love the tiny pallets, OMG, and your watercolor tin, I think I'm not seen this, because this tin it's very thin, I love that. Well, I guess I love all of your travel stuff! Really nice! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
It is a really thin tin for sure but hugs those half pans beautifully so they don't move. Thanks for watching and being inspired!
Yay glad someone else jumped and asked where that tiny porcelain palette came from. Perfect! I have one of those Van Gogh metal palettes as well as sooooo many other travel things for paint ; altoid tins, both sizes, Sennelier, Winsor Newton, the portable painter etc… always trying to find the thing that will make me sketch on a trip… without fuss. Small, bag small brush small pads blah blah blah… but that porcelain mixing thing is a game changer! Thank you! I am loving just listening to you in your videos. So many tips and excellent encouragement and ideas. Love the comments too! Maybe I can tie my husband to a rock while I try to paint Tintagel when we go soon. 😂
Ahhhh thank you Alison for your kind comments! I'm glad you found this helpful but just remember it's just doing it that makes the day, it doesn't really matter about the supplies. Have a great, colorful trip!
So glad to see an Indiana artist! I’m west of Indy ❤
I'm in the Northwest corner of the state, thanks for watching!
Loved this video! Can you share the skinny quill with us it looks exactly what I've been looking for. I loved the watercolored pencils...and the okay I'm just going to be honest I want it all! 😂 thanks for sharing and waking my want monster. I'm putting several on my wish list.
I always love when authors share things they use and love and actually show us why. Thanks again!
The quill brush is by Jackson's Art called the Raven. The size I show is a 10/0 the other size I have is a bit larger 3/0. Happy shopping and thanks for watching!
@@kellyhoernig thank you it's much appreciated! I'm going to go add it to my wish list thank you!
@@spktme you are very welcome.
...it's a vintage butter pat dish.... I collect them :) Thanks for the ideas
I didn't know what the dish was for, thank you! I just loved it size and knew it would be perfect for the studio table.
such a good trop, I love it 😊😊😊
Thank you!
Perfect timing! I’m in the process of putting together a travel art kit for a trip to the beach. I’m going to try sketching and painting on this trip. Your video about your Paris sketchbook inspired me to try. My husband is a photographer, and I usually sit in nature and enjoy observing while he takes pictures, but this time I’m going to paint! I’m nervous about my sketching skills, but you are giving me the encouragement to try!! I’m excited for memories and connections I’m going to make! Thank you for sharing and inspiring. You talked a bit about what you do back at the residence. I’m curious do you do quick sketches when you’re out and about then go back to the residence and finish or are you working on other things?
It is all about time for me. I would rather do a quick sketch outside, paint as much as I can. When I get back inside, I decide if I want to add more detail or leave it alone. Most times I feel the quick sketch is enough because it is the memory I was trying to capture, not all of the details. There are other times I go back to my phone and add details because it was what drew me to the scene in the first place. There are no rules, just trust the process and I'm so very excited for you - go for it!
What a beautiful selection of colors! Thank you for sharing!
You are very welcome, hope it inspired you to pack a to-go-kit!
Lots of wonderful ideas. Thank you for sharing.
It is a hard one to pack for so thought it might be helpful.
thanks for sharing
you are very welcome and I love your photo!
Great tips! Thanks for the links!
You are welcome. It just makes it easier for you seeing exactly what I am using.
Loved this video. Sooo inspiring! Cheers from 🇧🇷
Thank you and hope it inspired you to put together a little art kit to go bag for yourself!
Great supply ideas. Can you tell us where to get the brown bristle waterbrush? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I would be interested too.
You can find the Aquastroke Go Water Brush Set at Walmart or Jerry's Artarama .

What is the value of the brown bristles??
@@kafoster1030 the bristles are much softer and more pliable making them so much easier to use than the white stiffer bristles.
Inspiring video for encouraging sketching when traveling! Thank you. Can you share with us if the 3D printed little palettes you got from Etsy stain, and if so how badly, and are they easy to clean?
You are very welcome! The ones now seem to have a resin coating which doesn't stain too bad. Reds and phthalo colors yes. But when they get bad, I use a little bit of toothpaste rubbed in and it removes it easily.
Would like more info to get the ceramic square watercolor mixing tray please
Just search Etsy for small ceramic palette and a bunch will be shown to you. Happy shopping!
😊
Thank you so much and I hope it inspired you to create an "art-to-go-bag" for yourself!
What's the only brushes, (especially sizes and type, that you wquld keep, if you had to keep only the most essential please?
I use a #8 round for just about everything. My favorite at the moment is the Princeton Aqua Elite, long round #8. It wouldn't break down for a travel palette though.
I prefer my Aqua Elite over all the other travel brushes that I have. Not all of them cheap, but the Fuu Muu (?) are not bad for the price. But as my Daddy used to say, you don't always get what you pay for, but you always pay for what you get. Quality has it's price.
