Painting a charming scene with Muted Watercolors
Today I’m sharing the Cloud watercolor palette by Ocean Paper. Inspired by the beauty of Hawaii, this palette has a lovely muted feel. Color mixing to make an ordinary leaf interesting. We add textures with water splashes and salt to add to its look. A charming fox waits patiently as we explore the warm tones in this palette. Sit back and enjoy, thank you for joining me!

    there's a thing in the guitar world called GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) where you constantly try to get that next piece of gear or new guitar that will make you sound amazing, instead of just practicing. "If only I had a guitar like Eric Clapton I could sound amazing like him." this is never true, because you are not him and will never play exactly like him no matter what gear you have, and it totally discounts the thousands of hours he's put into perfecting his skills, but it does sell a lot of guitars. this can also apply to art or any hobby of course. i think i have PAS (palette acquisition syndrome) because i'm addicted to buying (or making) tiny travel palettes!

      Really good analogy, except paints are more like effects pedals (I think, I don't know much about guitars). Different pigments and even the same pigment formulated by different brands perform differently. Phthalo blue red shade may look very similar to ultramarine, but they have very different textures and tinting strengths. Without the right paints, there are some effects you just can't get, and there are some colors you just can't mix. As I understand it, most guitars have the same range of notes and can play the same songs even if they don't sound as good (not sure if number of strings affects that). However, you're 100% right about people thinking materials matter more than practice.

    • @leinonibishop9480
      @leinonibishop9480 День назад

      @@pendlera2959 the sound of a guitar is affected by everything from the type of pick or strings to the pedals, electric pickups installed, amp, the cord you use to plug into the amp, the wood the guitar is made of, etc. all can be included in the syndrome, and yes different brands of guitars sound different and different pedal brands also have unique construction that sound different even if it's the same type of pedal. the search for the perfect combination of all these things that will make you an amazing guitar player is quite time consuming and is usually done instead of practicing.

    I agree with @22GmaRocky…seeing the swatches next to a colour sketch is a great way to remember the mixes you made and see the outcome, especially if you’re wanting a particular colour way for a painting. Thanks so much for sharing Kelly 😊

    I have been eyeing on the Schminke Jaune brilliant, full pan, the other chice would be Shinhan and I don't like the shade. Of these I would defenently go for the Mıjello 1. Thank you again for the awsome review, so thourough!

      @@kellyhoernig Definitely! Will give this a try. Looks like a perfect way to simplify a scene and make approaching a subject less overwhelming.

    Thank you for the comparison! I really like the shade of that da Vinci, so dark and it kind of is what I have on my mind when I think of indigo. I have just started collecting water colour in tubes and I have Daler Rowney indigo, very similar to W&N one by the looks of it. If I should choose of these, money wise probably Van Gogh but is I really could get which ever, I'd get the da Vinci for sure. I did not like DS much, too purplish/ greyish. Again, love this kind of comparison videos, so much information in a lovely package!

    For the amount and cost, 37ml DaVinci is the winner.

Do you think I should wait and build my skills before attempting this? Thanks for sharing your talent with us!!
