It's more fun being on the edge of grip!
I drive like this and i have a different theory of why it seems this way. many people drive rally games like they where circuit racing since they don’t know how rally works. they drive the stage slowly and multiple times to get the best run when doing this they try to find the fastest line. When you do this you know longer get that feeling of not knowing exactly what’s to come. It’s that feeling that causes this type of driving when you are constantly doing small corrections to get the best entry or exit like real rally drivers do
@@LBPreviews well rally drivers developer a pretty special way of driving. Since they Rely on pacenotes and a very limited knowlaged of the stage they tend to do micro corrections all the time to get the best exit and entry to a corner hence this less smooth driving style. I don't know if it's the triple screen or the POV but it gives such a great sense of speed. Pacenotes seemed pretty good. 2's and 1's seemed a little faster than i'd have expected
It's the triples. I remember when I started using triples for racing sims, it was what I instantly noticed, the difference is massive. Sense of speed comes mostly from peripheral vision, because there things pass you quick (trees, rocks, houses etc. close to you). In front things don't look as intense, because stuff is mostly far away. Gamers who use single screen complain often about sense of speed, but there isn't much devs can do if the car moves at realistic speed and the POV is realistic (other than speed up the game artificially, so that when your speedometer says 100mph the game is actually moving faster than that, covering greater distance of game map than a real car would... some arcade games like Forza Horizon probably do this, because players are never happy with the "sense of speed" otherwise.. so if Lamborghini goes 300, they secretly make it go 370 but don't tell the player, who then praises the "sense of speed" the game has over other arcade games... sims however can't afford to do this)
@@shredd5705 Peripheral vision doesn't explain the whole story. There's added confusion because you're actually dealing with 2 different FOV's. Firstly there is your real life eye's FOV and there's the game cameras FOV. We actually only need to increase the game's FOV to increase the sense of speed. The video "Perception of speed changes with field of view" on RUclips shows this well. You can do this with any game on any monitor set-up. Even in Minecraft if you set the FOV to the maximum, it'll suddenly seem like you're going fast. The issue is obviously that when you start increasing FOV the image starts warping when it has to fit on a single monitor. Triple screens solve this issue. Now more of the monitor is covering your eye's FOV and in turn your in-game FOV is also higher without the warping. The point is that FOV dictates the sense of speed, not peripheral vision per-se. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to notice the change from this video since you look at the video with your central vision.

I just got this game, first rally game. I have been really struggling especially with the tight corners. So I came on here to see what a good player is doing. After seeing this I don't know if I'm massively depressed or excited to see what is possible.
You got the "If in doupt, FLAT OUT!!!" seriously here. Impressive.
Glad to have you back! Thanks for the treat. Happy Halloween
Absolute beast! Her cute unassuming voice would have you tricked in the beginning lol. She kills it
This channel is making me interested in rally racing
I have access to the game in a cpl hours as well, can't wait to get anywhere near your times lol
Awesome vid as always Cookie!
Wow that was amazing... serious talent 👏👏
Finally someone gets the POV right for SIM-"Streaming". I want to see the inputs, not the face. Also what a ride, WOW.
It's always a fun moment when you realize something you did IRL shows up in some kind of entertainment you pick up years later. :D
Beautiful run, and stage. Cant wait to play this myself
I haven't been this impressed for a very, very long time.
WOW ! Having played that game and many other Rally games over the years, that was truly impressive. Right from the start it was obvious you were incredibly fast, some may say it is the screens but having played the game it was pretty clear.. I play with a controller and could never even come close to run that course at those speeds. Nice !
This pro level is insane... Not just fast but precise without any scrach. I don't know should I play anymore a rally game after I saw this awesome run.
this is seriously impressive
Unreal. The skill necessary to do that. So impressive.
DANGGGGG.... unreal the control of the car and knowledge of the stage to drive like that.
That was awesome driving. M most likely going to hit every tree driving slow, yet you drive full out and mark this like an easy walk in the park…. So great to see you successful both in the game and in real life!
This was just insanely good
0:55 - that snatch correction 😮
I bet this game never imagined it would have to render this fast.
Two words for this driving here... DIFFERENT GRAVY!
Thanks, It was a pleasure co driving for you 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
A far cry from the Arcade game of the late 70's early 80's....I remember a sit down game called 280 Z ..... Zap ⚡....I have always loved this type Racing..... even built myself a sorta road version back in the 90's a SAAB 900 TUBO 1983 I upgraded engine to 16 valve larger Turbo and 5 speed gearbox....3 inch exhaust...I ran the dirt roads here in ALABAMA and enjoyed myself.... What your doing is Awesome 👍
You are onto something here!! 🙌
Shes so smooth with her inputs the car didnt waver. It went down that road strait as an arrow
as a passenger, i would've died out of fear 10 seconds into the race. Insane.
The only way to be a passenger would be reading the course notes. Rally racing isn't fun and games cus one slip up and thats it. 😅
It's already been said, but WOW! You made that stage look so easy. You can tell you've done that more than once. Love the in car run as well. Now I know why I'm only secs behind you, dang you are fast. Keep it up! that was a awesome run.
I'm in love with this girl's reflexes and smile ❤🎉
That was hot!
Damn that's some serious skill.
And the sim rig is just awesome, i wish i could afford something like this too
Rally drivers are actually the best race car drivers in the world. Rally is definitely harder than F1.
how the hell do people stay so calm at that speed? i'd be spilling my pants if i were in a rally car 😂
That´s crazy and astonishing. Well done. My respect!
Hello Santa! I wish I have this setup as well...
great driving as always. :) Looks awesome
Ur killing it pal.
My heart's racing ...... incredible driving from an incredible beauty
sound and looks awesome!!
