O my god, I love your videos!! Can you make a tutorial of your intro? Please I really love your intro and is really cute, can you make tutorial if no is much? ^^
Ayy, I’m actually pretty impressed, do you take criticism though? If so, here it is!!! (Feel free to ignore me otherwise! :D) 1. A tip. When shading, choose a direction you want the light coming from AND THEN start shading. Here, you have light coming from all sides, and it’s a bit much. I understand you may be hesitant at first, but trust me. It makes everything look better. Take the eyes for example. You actually did a good job! The lighting in the eyes is coming from the left (or the character’s right) while everything else is darker. But with the hair, highlights are coming from EVERYWHERE. 2. For clothing, I advise you to NOT use darker shades, especially on softer textures. It makes it look rough and like it’s hugging the skin too much. And I understand you may want to add all those wrinkles and be detailed, but it’s best not too on baggy clothes (like an oversized hood). There’s actually more wrinkles on tight-fitting clothing. On baggy stuff, the wrinkles are more spaced out. 3. And speaking of shading and how tricky it can be… REFERENCES! If you don’t know how to draw something, don’t guess and instead look at some references (and I mean REAL LIFE references. Other art pieces can have major problems you won’t notice. So it’s best to be as safe as possible from adopting misinformation). It really is as simple as that. 4. (This goes for everything) It’s important to USE THE COLOR WHEEL. Don’t EVER shade with black (which you probably already know). It’s best to use darker shades of color. For example, if you’re coloring with yellow, have the shading be orange or red. Or if it’s blue, shade with purple (or a darker blue). 5. This is more of a tip than anything. When working with black hair, try not to use white as a highlight. The highlight should be in the color the lighting in the room is. (If it’s a sunset setting, then the highlights would be a orange/pink/red.) This also applies it dark skin. With dark skin, the highlight reflects the color of the room. But with light skin, the shadows reflect the color of the room. That was quite a bit, wasn’t it? Haha… sorry. In any case, I actually love how you colored the eyes and skin! You can complete ignore my advice, it’s not obligatory for you to follow them. But I’d be happy if you paid them a little attention. :))
