Fantastic job! It has a nice flow. Everything is tied in beautifully. I love the idea of the automated system for watering your plants. I really need a system like that.
Thanks for watching! We love sitting out there in the evenings and you are exactly right the drip irrigation for the the baskets and the plants is amazing. I have it tied into 9 baskets all around the house!
Incredible and beautiful! One of the best built and best videos I have watched on this subject matter. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thx for watching! We love it for sure! The video is one of my first ones and it's a little long but packed with a ton of info! Take care

I Love it!!
Building mine in about a week.
This was very helpful.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching! HPH
It looks great. The idea of putting the grill where you were talking is a good idea and will tie everything in nicely.
Thanks for watching.....don't watch my next video had a change of plans on the gas grill location. Couldn't do it to my smokehouse!
Banger job from Illinois brother!

Thank you! It was fun
Awesome Pavillion!
Thank you Sir! Can't wait for spring so I can enjoy it again! Indiana Winters 👎
Very nice, looks great
Thanks! Got a video dropping tomorrow where I build some end tables for the smoke house. Going to build all of the furniture for it for pretty cheap. Stay tuned! HPH
For the TV, you could consider getting something like Mantel Mount, which you could pull down so it's not quite so high.
Never thought of that. Gotten use to it a little more lately. Wife and I really listen to music more often it seems. Thx
Great job. I've got an upcoming project at my home for the same thing.
Put a chimney up through the roof above the smoker stack to line up with the stack. Take all that smoke out. It will stain the interior. An additional stack would increase the draft through your smoker, so adjust the dampers as needed.
Thanks for watching! I had plans to put a black stove pipe chimney there but I kinda want the inside of the of that area to get darkened. The wind normally blows it out pretty quick and haven't really noticed any staining at all over the last year. I may add it for the look if anything
@@HomeProHero If you put in a stove pipe with a funnel end above the smoker stack, the heat going up the pipe will create a draft, pulling out the heat and smoke. You could position it just over the smoker stack. Similar to the way the flue on a gas water heater works.
You would still be able to move the smoker for cleaning, if desired, and not have to disconnect anything.
Right I understand what you are saying for sure! But I want the rafters inside to be darken because of the smoke. It's the look I desire. Thx!
really nice work. very informative video
Thanks for watching! Doing a shorter version video of this in the coming month to help summerize the project a little quicker! Take care!
wicked nice setup except for the neck breaking TV lol.
Thanks for watching. It's been lower 4 inches since the video. It's not really an issue plus it's protected from the weather.
Very nice job!
Thanks for watching!
Hello there,
I really like your design details. I'm currently building one very similar, but an 8 x 12 to fit our area.
What size/type fasteners did you use to toenail the rafters into the ridge beam? And what did you use to fasten the tail of the rafter to the 2x8 perimeter boards? I don't like the look of metal construction hardware.
Thank you!
I toenailed the rafters with 12g nails. No hardware up there. At the bottom of the rafters I used hurricane straps. A little overkill but they are cheap. Could have easily toenailed at the bottom too. www.menards.com/main/hardware/fasteners-connectors/construction-hardware/truss-rafter-tiedowns/mitek-reg-4-1-2-x-1-7-16-rafter-to-stud-hurricane-seismic-anchor-tie/rt3a-tz/p-1444445516061-c-8891.htm
I Love it!!
Great job!!
What size is the Pavilion?
Thanks for watching! It's a 11'x20' total. The smoker area is 11x6.
nice job
Thanks for watching! We love it out there sad winter is on the way real soon! Take care
Awesome build!!! Love it!!! Was wondering if you would be gracious enough to send me those plans, my wife and I want the same exact pavilion.
Thank you for your interest in the pavilion plans! Unfortunately, I cannot share them freely due to Intellectual Property, Legal Implications, and Personal Considerations.
However, you can access the plans and more through my HPH Membership for $2.99/month. Check the link in the video description or below for details. Thank you for understanding! ruclips.net/channel/UCmPc7lvTIm-J9GmvQku5wAwjoin
Looks great! well done sir! One question, have you thought about extending the smokers pipe outside of the structure?
lol never mind, you answered at 31 min's
Thx for watching! Yea I thought about it but just for cosmetic reasons. When the smoker is cooking that smoke normally blows west to east unless it's perfect no wind days which are rare. A certain part of that video I talk about a gap in the lower roof that works pretty good when the smoke travels up. I might just add it for fun - would look cool! Take care
Sir I bought the membership only and I’m trying to find out how to get plans for backyard smokehouse pavilion, thanks!
Thanks for supporting the channel! Go to my home page in RUclips. Select memberships and than click on perks. It will show the link to the HPH Vault!
I am in Indiana as well and I am wanting to add an open air shelter like yours over my existing deck I just build last year. Probably about 20x20. What would be the first steps to making sure that I get the right size post to support the weight. I am hoping to get away with 3 post on each side. Can you direct me someplace to get started?
Wow 20x20 is good size but I think a 6x6 post like the ones I used is plenty big enough but 8x8's might look better for what I'm going to tell you next - make sure you dig the holes 36" in Indiana. The bigger question is the span. I used 2x8 for the boards that the 2x6 rafters sit on but in your case I would go up on both sizes so use 2x10's and 2x8 rafters. I would also use collar rafters on every rafter instead of the one 6x6 I used in the smokehouse - I would use 2x6 collar rafters on your project. I think it would look good but maybe talk to the menards reps about the spans. I can draw it up on sketchup so you have a 3d drawing - see my etsy page for customized projects homeprohero.etsy.com
I should probable mention the deck is about 5' off ground, plus 36" in ground then 8+ to thr rafters, so I'm looking atleast 16' beams
Am I understanding your Esty page correctly in that I might be able to get you to make my plans for me?
Fucking Beautiful!! Lovely build and gorgeous yard!! I need to move out of California!!
Thanks man! Cheap living out here in Indiana!
Nicely done and apologies if I missed it, but what is the size of the main part of the pavilion?
Thx for watching its 11x18. Take care
Would you be willing to share your SketchUp plans? Nice build!
Yes I can do that! Email?
I'd love to get the sketchup plans as well. I'll dm you my email.
I would like to get this sketch up as well
Could I possibly get these plans? Thank you!!
@@HomeProHerowould you be able to share the plans still?
Awesome! Would you be willing to share the plans??
Thanks for watching! I get a ton of requests for the plans. I do share the plans on my membership page. $2.99 a month cancel anytime.

Mitered the 2x8 2 feet up will make those post look awesome.
I'm done messing with it :) Love the idea!
Hello can you update the link for the pavers
Sorry try this one www.menards.com/main/building-materials/landscaping-materials/pavers-patio-blocks/6-x-9-tumbled-belgian-reversible-paver/1792779/p-1444441431927-c-5786.htm
this is beautiful!!! My wife and i are getting ready to build one. What size is this?????
The main structure is 11x16 and the back part where the smoker is at is 11x6. So 11x22. Plans available in video description. Thx for watching!
@@HomeProHero just absolutely beautiful.
Very Nice! You have put a lot of thought into this and you deserve more views! p.s. My wife wants to know if you could come round to our place and do the same thing 😛
Thank you! It's a slow process on YT. Only been at it since February so making good progress! I don't have it in me to do all of it twice lol
It would look better to put a drain at Y in sidewalk and put trenched pipe to a drain in yard.
Also the TV could be an inch or two below the beam if you have enough head room.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I'm going to install that drain right at the roof line of the pavillion becuase there is alot of rain coming off it since there are no gutters. Going to run it out to yard like you mentioned. Hopefully this spring my firewood gets pretty wet during a good rain. The TV is good where it is at....I might have lowered it bit since this video. Wouldn't like the look if it hung below the 2x8. Take care!
I don't see where I can order the plans.
It's under memberships. 2.99 a month cancel anytime
Don't you have smoke fuming up your wood and metal roof above the smoker?
A little bit but it's the look I want. Almost like a old blacksmith shop :) thanks for watching!
@@HomeProHero well, it is a preservative! Good job
Angle your tv down more so when your sitting on couch you can almost see yourself in tv then you won’t see the fan
Thx for watching! After this video I was able to lower the tv about 6 inches and it helped. Now after a year the fan doesn't even bother me anymore :)
Really nice job if you don’t mind lol I’m gonna copy you and build one on my deck , post will go thru deck and into ground
@@dennydurbin1548 very nice! We love it and I would do nothing different...well maybe add another :)
This music is pretty annoying. Sweet build though!
Thx for watching
