  • The Wintertime Christmas Stocking crochet pattern is a fairly easy Christmas Stocking pattern that features some beautiful colour work! The stocking is worked from the cuff down to the toe. It is worked as one piece, mostly in rounds except for the heel which features a heel flap and is worked in rows. For the most part the pattern consists of front and back post double crochet stitches along with some single crochet worked in the back loop only. This is a Christmas Stocking that I hope you will treasure for years to come.

    Made this. The pattern was really easy to follow and very well explained. However I did continuous rounds and marked with a stitch marker since i didnt like the look of seam. One thing was I didn't realize how big this stocking was going to be... the picture looked a lot smaller. My fault for not gauging

    How do you know when to work continuous rounds and when to join rounds with the slip stitch and ch 1? I get really confused at the joins and my "seams" look terrible! Help, please? Love this stocking and enjoyed the explanation on using the color chart. If I can figure out the "in the round" nuances, I'll definitely give this a try. TFS Love your channel.

    I have the pattern laying like yours. Will this make my trees upside down? Am I doing it right?

    I love this pattern. My problem was assuming. I did both of your other stocking patterns working from the bottom up. I don't know why you did this one top down, but I was ready to add the heel before I realized I worked from the bottom up like the others. :( Naturally my trees were upside down. You faked me out. :)

    Beautiful! Just one question tho, why slip stitch each round leaving an obvious join and not just continuous rounds all the way through?

    • @RichTexturesCrochet
      @RichTexturesCrochet  Год назад +3

      I found when doing the colour work for the cuff, it helps to keep the stitches in line. Down when I work the foot and toe, I do continuous rounds so that there is no seam
