Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or
the disk may be locked by another process.
You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode
and make sure the disk is unlocked. this is what i get after doing the first command please help

OMG it worked. I recently got a 4TB HDD so I wouldn't have to deal with a bunch of smaller drives all the time. I copied my work onto it and then it stopped functioning.
The connection of my HDD dock got a bit iffy recently, so it disconnected my new hard drive while it was booting up....more than once. Then I started to run into this small problem where I couldn't access it at all. With this I was able to fix it. I also got rid of the old dock ofc.
Thank you so much. You saved me from losing about 6 months worth of work. It entails video editing. Large files means a lot of required space in case you're wondering. ;)

I did a chkdsk at boot, and now my computer just goes through an automatic repair screen and comes to a screen saying the automatic repair failed.

I wasn't really expecting for something to happen since my issue was based on a file in my hard drive D, and your problem was based on the entire drive. However, the system still checked for corrupted files in the entire hard drive. Only took the system around 45 seconds, great. Now I am able to download Valorant again. Thank you so much.

So after restart I got a screen telling me that "Your PC ran into problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you .. 0% complete). Should I wait for this to be restarted. It takes almost one hour without any changes right now though I've just installed windows 10 in my machine (the drive is almost empty).

I ran command prompt as an administrator, then typed "chkdsk /f d:", it started checking the disk then stopped at stage two showing the following message "Correcting error in index $SDH for file 9. An unspecified error occured (766f6c756d652e63 461)". Any help please ?

Thank you so much for this video even after 5 years this still works I was trying to fix this for 3 hours just to delete one broken undeletable folder even tool apps couldn't fix it but with your video it fixed it and made it deletable in just 1 minute (my drive was kinda empty).

i tried it and got stage 1:Examinig basic file system structure and next line sas failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50. Can you please help?

There is no Command Prompt (admin) on my computer.
It only shows Windows Powershell (admin)
Is it the same as Command Prompt?
Right click on command prompt and click run as administrator
I totally deleted my whole hard drives and its partition accidentally. 🤦 Now I am doomed all my office/School files are now gone together with the OS
