- In my first evening in Rome our tour group went to this little antique store near our hotel! I found a few things, though I was extremely picky considering my constraints with fitting everything in the luggage back!

I'd be burning my clothes and packing treasures only in my suitcase, wow those prices!
😮wrap the items in clothes, buy a carry on with either bags , use vacuum bags
Better yet. Sell your American clothes 😅
😅😅😅😅😅
I'm glad you went along with Laura on the Italy trip!
2:53 OMGee…if you get those art glass vases, you have to wrap them within an inch or your life…esp the one with the white handle. With a “bump” or the wrong kind of pressure, I can just see it cracking off pretty easily. I know you know how to pack and ship fragile items….but their fragility just stood out for me. Fun shopping in Rome! Wow! Good luck and safe travels!
How fun. I absolutely love looking at vintage stuff from another country. Fantastic.
So cool! When we were in Rome we bought some Murano Vases and a Venetian mask that we arranged with the seller to actually ship home to us! They made it to our home before we did! Well worth the cost!
Man they have some beautiful stuff there. I loved the blue with silver overlay plate!
Absolutely loved your shopping experience in Rome. Looking for things to watch to keep my mind occupied as I grieve the loss of my dog of 15 years, Lucky. He was truly the best dog and my best friend. 😢❤🐾
I think the pink and white ewer will look great with your flamingos. I hope you'll keep it.
Hi Jeffrey, glad to see you enjoying your Italy trip. Just wanted to say, I've purchased art glass overseas and managed to bring it home safely. I used my clothes to wrap them and made sure they were in the middle of the suitcase.
I love the display idea of the hanging art rack! I am going to have to find something to be able to replicate that in my booth!!!
My son’s girlfriend is leaving for Italy on I think the 2nd or 3rd of June for two weeks to go thrifting and to flea markets. I know she is going to Rome and Florence and some other places. I sooo envious of that. I hope you had a great time 😊❤
Wow Rome!! How exciting. I've never been out of the US!! I love the two pink things that you picked out.
I think I would have taken an extra empty suitcase 😮😮!! So many nice things at this place and the prices are great!! Ooohhh, buy a suitcase there!!!
I'm so excited you're taking us with you....
Wow, that was great - sourcing in Italy! What wonderful prices- I had to look up the conversion to the dollar🎉 super
Might have to buy a suitcase to bring home your treasures. Awesome prices
Oh, wow on the pink glass. I love those vases the ladies had!
YAY!! now I can say I have been thrift shopping in Italy with Jeffrey! thanx for this vid - nice to see other places....
You could fill a box and mail it to your home! The prices there are so amazing it would be worth it. Postage wouldn’t be more than $50
Where did you pull that price up from? SUPER random.
I don’t think so..posting stuff abroad is super expensive
I'd buy so many of the items you showed! I don't know how you are showing such restraint! Awesome Jeffrey!!!
This is so much fun, Jeffrey. Thanks for taking us along.
Hi Jeffrey - so amazing the prices @ the terrific antique mall. I'm drooling over the blue w/ silver overlay round plate! You guys should get a Big Steamer trunk & bubble wrap all the treasures & ship them home! Seriously!!!
What a wonderful trip!!🥰💞
You sound so excited shopping!! Have a wonderful time!!
I always go shopping on a trip and mail my treasures home. I also do my laundry before I leave. So when I get home I don't have to do laundry and get to play with my treasures
Wow! I'm bold over with those prices. Bet you're camping at the bit wanting to buy, buy, buy. Looks like you're having a wonderful time. Stella is going to be so happy to see you back home though. Where to next?
Enjoying this so much! Just told my son we're going to Rome next year...host a tour Jeffrey💕
You showed us very beautiful pieces and I just love them! What a great trip you are on.
I’m sure you can wrap those pieces to protect them.
Need space, throw out some clothes lol, I would. In fact, I have done it. Found lots of cool glass in New Hampshire and my suitcase was over weight limit so I pull cloths out until my suitcase was within limits.
Treasures in Rome - geez amazing - great trip!! 👍👏😊
Well now THAT was different and amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your shopping trip!
Whenever we used to go on holiday in the UK, we would always bring a very sturdy carry-on bag that we could put any fragile purchases or gifts into it. It makes it far easier to go through customs while doing this. Also, it is always easy to purchase some bubble wrap to put around any fragile items that you store in your suitcase.
Will it be expensive to ship them back?
@@erinmaxwell8133 It depends on what country you are in. I would recommend checking with your tour guide or at the hotel for advice on shipping items back to the US.
You're buying Empoli art glass straight from Italy and I am very jealous. Yeah, I'm sure those pink pieces are from the Empoli region and they are gorgeous! I would love to have them in my collection!
So fun Jeffrey! I loved that tall vase at the very end. Probably way too big for your suitcase but it was a greenish opalescent glass vase- stunning!!
I always travel with bubble wrap and a mailing tube in case I wanted to pick up art or a poster. I have three posters so far from Europe.
So many gorgeous treasures!!!!🎉 I'd be getting rid of clothes and packing up goodies. 😅 Enjoy your visit!❤
I want that Orange hanging lamp! Loved watching, interesting how items are so different depending on where you are shopping. Magnifica!
When I go to Italy, I leave all my clothes and anything else I brought with me behind either in town or at the airport unless I can use it as packing material 👍🏻 Hope you're having fun! I'll be going to Italy (Florence is my favorite city...hope you get to experience it) and Greece in October. BTW...They DO sell bubble wrap in Italy!!! 😂
That's a waste.
The pink vases remind me of your love of flamingos.
Wonderful videos on both your channels. I am enjoying them immensely. Lots of places left in Italy to buy goodies.
Great idea putting anti theft tags on the items.
So exciting I’m so happy for you Jeffery 🦋😊
Wow, what a video it’s great. I love the things that you picked up the safe. Have a great time. Thank you for sharing.❤❤
Hey at the mercattino wich is a chain in Italy, the prices if you see an asterisk it means its discounted it will also have the discount percentage but you need their card wich is free to get and you get the discounts
That painting would have been easy to pack. I have a friend when she travels she takes only clothes she bought at goodwill so
That she can leave them behind and bring home her treasures.
Loved that blue plate with the overlay
Ohhh how I wish I was there. Glad you’re having fun! ❤
They probably ship items. In Venice at the glass factory, they shipped all our purchases home. Great video. Thank you!
The prices! Wowza! Dump your clothes and take your treasures, instead! Hope you had fun, Jeffery! ✌🏼❤️
I loved everything, but the telephone was so cool! The “ headset” is called a receiver on rotary phones!
Wow such fun! Glad to see you so 😊 happy!
Euros are worth more than our dollars. The prices are high due to the tourists in Rome. You need to go to smaller cities where the prices are half - Go to Ascoli PIceno
We always shipped home. There are UPS type shipping stores that ships for reasonable prices. We would ship home to family. Also purchased inexpensive luggage you see everywhere and carry on breakables.
I've flown approximately what 4k miles with art glass in my carry-on. No problem when they're wrapped properly. Even mailed a large piece but it was double boxed. Very expensive.
I got back last month from Rome. I had to buy another suitcase to get everything back. Pack the fragile stuff amongst your clothes. They should be fine.
What a great shop along. I love everything you bought.
Just Wowwwww!!! The prices… Wowww. I’m just …Wowww 😂
Love your excitement!😊
I’d be buying all of the tins & putting my fragile items inside of them to put in my suitcase :) This was an awesome video, Jeffrey. Thank you!!
Don't know how bad shipping is now, but when my godfather use to go overseas to shop for antiques, he'd ship them back home
In Italy, if it has a Murano sticker, it probably is from the Island of Murano! Just saying! Too bad it is so expensive to ship stuff back to the US. Some of your co travelers are probably shipping stuff back, or maybe brought an extra suitcase. I am working on getting Italian citizenship; my grandfather was born in Italy! They go by your paternal relative in Italy. I have my mom's birth certificate that states her dad was born in Italy! So many fabulous, affordable treasures!! Beautiful artwork! I found that little metal coffee set for my daughter at a thrift store!! She loves it!!
In a high end shop like this, it probably is real Murano. However, in some of the more touristy areas where there are a lot of souvenir shops, fakes are mass produced and sold to travelers who aren't knowledgeable enough to know the difference.
What fun your having. Love seeing what you are doing and seeing. TY for sharing.
I would go absolutely broke in that shop! Amazing pieces we may never see state side!!
Hey Jeffy,
You can always ask the shop to mail it to your home. Postage is outrageous everywhere.
But it doesn't have up suitcase, plus you don't have to worry about damage.
I traveled in 1982 all over Europe, I learned you can't buy everyone something from every place. Better to think one nice item, instead of little stuff.
Also remember today with all the import export shops in America....you can sometimes buy the same thing at home. It will cost you more here, but it's an options.
😅
Love the video so many beautiful pieces and the prices are amazing
so fun! i loved this shopping trip. the pink glass items you got were the prettiest things in the store.
Dear Jeffrey, my father uses soxes to wrap things on the way back. Never broke a thing he uses all the things for the laundry
To ship back to USA you could have checked shipping costs with UPS. Rome is a common travel destination ergo the rates aren't as bad as folks think.
This is absolutely splendid!!! Grateful!❤
Nice!! Use socks and towels as padding. Have lovely time!
I was stationed in Spain, and most art items are at great rates compared to the US.
It would be hard to see all these great and well priced items and not be able to take them back home with me. 😢 I think 🤔 you can arrange shipping back to the U.S., but of course, that could add a lot of cost to your trip.
The pink glass ware you have in your basket I’d buy from you it’s beautiful
❤Thank you for taking us along.
Enjoy your trip and sample all the food you can. The food is amazing.
That was great! I Hope you have plenty more videos to share with us. ❤
Thank you taking us with you on your adventure
You could wrap some of your items in your clothes in your suitcase. Smaller items in a shoe with a sock for protection. You could also ship as suggested.
Beautiful things in that shop. ❣️
Oh. those pink glass vases. You can use carry on. Have fun.
Enjoy your trip!
You always buy smalls. I was in the Mediterranean last August for three weeks. Did not go to shop. I did purchase many vintage items when in PV Mexico a few years ago. Buying the art is smart for packing and not fragile. I would have concentrated on those items. You should have brought along a large suitcase full of bubble wrap for your purchases. I hope you enjoyed some good food. I did not care for the pizza in Rome. Too much like a cracker crust but did eat it at 3 different places. Amalfi has much better pizza. My parents ran I pizzeria in NY in the 60’s, so I am particular about my crust!!! Nice to see you shopping in another country.
Thanks Jeffrey, have a great trip and say Hi to Laura..
You could always buy you another carry on bag. And Check your clothes suit case !
"I can only get small, not delicate things!" Picks up everything big and fragile, lol!
What a fabulous trip! Great video! ❤
Super beautiful things. I would end up buying so much and then have to buy more luggage or ship it home!
Love the little vases.
So happy for you
Wow, great opportunity to find Murano Art Glass!!
Sounds like you are having fun!
I'm so jealous. I want to be there. So many beautiful things !!!
Why not just ship what you buy home then you don't have to worry about breakage in your luggage. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Very lovely pieces!
Jeffrey...the blue plate would have been gorgeous in your den on a plate stand with light behind it. Argh!!!! You're in Rome!!! Buy a carry-on. ❤
Enjoy your trip! 💞✌
Very fun. Having a good time you are.
Jeffrey, I don't know if it helps any, but my parents mailed things home instead of trying to fit it into our luggage. 🙂
ENJOY 😉
Another great video. Thank you for sharing, Jeffrey.😊
Love this video!!! Thanks for making my day!
Where’s the bitosi pottery?? Laura will find it!
