The frog sponge holder was a very popular ceramic piece for hobbyists in the 60s. I can remember in 65 and 66 going to do ceramics with my Girl Scout troop. The two pieces that were made the most were those frogs, and a open-mouth bird toothpick holder. The frog sat by my mom’s sink for the next 50 years.
I made and still have mine from 1975. I’m 69.

I think my mom still has hers by the sink, she's had it all my life as far as I can remember, 45 years. Love that little guy! My mom's is a standard dark green.

I absolutely LOVE that kidney beans shaped lamp! $55 was an amazing price, imo. I would have snatched that up :). It's nice to see you in better spirits & it's always nice to see Barb. She has such a calm & kind energy 🙂.

I grew up using those plates, in fact the whole set. My mom used them as everyday dishes and bowls, and the porcelain china for special occasions.I believe my mom bought her plate and bowl set from Woolworths. Omg, I recognise the nursery rhyme plagues, had them on my wall. I remember the Jack and Jill ones and the Little Old Lady in the Shoe one. Had the pop corn popper push toy when little girl, my daughter inherited it and played with it as a little girl. The sound would get on my nerves when my daughter played with it after awhile. Lol! My grandmother had the glass pitcher you stroke, used it for her ice tea when company would visit.Thank you for bringing back some lovely memories with your finds.

I remember the glasses that came with jelly in them also the pimento cheese glasses and bugging my mom to buy the ones with cartoon characters on them. Brings back memories everytime I see one
I have all the cartoon jelly glasses.Believe it or not I found the whole set at a thrift store.They were 29 cents a piece.
We had the sour cream glasses growing up. Some were flowers, some polka dots.
The dog pulling off the little girls pants is Coppertone sunscreen lotion. ☀️

Just a thought..you can buy waffle contact “paper” that is soft and cut it to fit for putting in your carts so your glass is more cushioned.
My aunt had the speckled Melmac dishes in different colors back in the early 60s. I remember them scratching easily. I never understood the Rae Dunn craze.

Barb your cat is very beautiful. Glad you went back for it. Also that school picture at the beginning of video I believe is called Schools out. Last day of school. The kids are happy. The pink and green glass basket is lovely. Anyone with pink-rose-patterned dinnerware would most likely want that to go with.
"'cause I touched it" will be a new catch phrase. I'm glad Barb did something about the cherry, (the actual phrase is *slightly* off color🤫). I know she has so many financial considerations but I feel the cat will likely at least double what she paid. (disclaimer- Everything I know came from watching Jeffrey and Jocelyn)

The blue plates look like what I ate off of as a child in the 50s. Our set had 3-4 different colors. The dishes may have been a give away from A&P or Grand Union with a grocery purchase.

My mom had several of those pixies in green in the 50s. My mom and especially my grandma born in 1905 London England were collectors of glassware. When I inherited the farm my grandma had so many collections that It took 2 years gathering all the collections and grouping them and sorting out what I wanted to keep and 2 auctioneers 2 days to empty out the house. I learned so much from my grandma. I heard you say small pieces chipped etc.doesn't matter but I was taught differently that its not acceptable.

My mom had a large set of Melamine dishes, when I was young, and the aluminum tumblers. That was in the 1950's.
The Swanky Swigs had cheese spread. The spread was used for tea sandwiches. My mother probably tossed many in the trash.
I'm so happy you got that cat Barb. I've wanted one for years and finely got a dark blue one for 60 dollars a few months back. ( with a chip on one ear) but I just love it.

I was amazing to see you so well and so happy, I am totaly fine with you telling us about your planes for expanding your bussines and what you see as your futuro, sometimes its not the rigth time or the rigth People or the rigth circuntances and we do not like when that happens but your time will come, look at all you have done so far, I am sure you don't remember, but I told you in the coments how I was sure you were going to do so well in life because you are smart and you are a go getter, you will always will have something else in mind to improve yourself, that is just like you are and I love that about you, be happy but live in the now and enjoy yourself you have a great mind and you will succed at anything that you put your mind to,love you my boy!
