+smacdiesel Haha, I think I could deal with your winter :) Winter camping is pretty fun, mostly because of snowboarding! I've never surfed before, would love to try it sometime!
That looked like a lot of fun! Too bad about the breakdown. I guess it may be good to have a two snow mobiles for some backup. I'm glad you were well aware and prepared for the potential of an avalanche.
+Perspectologist Yeah, it definitely would have been a lot better if we had to snowmobiles. We were lucky there were some great guys out there who were willing to help us. You can never be too careful when there is avalanche danger! It's a shame because I would guess nearly half of the guys out in the backcountry, don't have an avy gear on them.
Sweet trip! Smart to head off the avalanche questions... Got my genny started the last time I was out - woohoo! That generator doesn't make much noise so I'm not going to worry about a baffle box - I imagine you feel the same... Nice to see you! 🌞🌞🌞
+Christina Coloradoan Thank you! Yeah, I figured people may be wondering if we had avy gear or not. It always amazes me how many people don't wear that gear in the back country! Awesome to hear you got the generator going! Yeah, it is surprising at how quiet it is! How long was your trip? Where did ya go? I agree, I will not be building a baffle box :) Thanks for commenting, good to hear from you again!
Colorado Camperman was out for 6 days at Sand Hollow outside of Hurricane Utah. Nice, lazy winter camping (12 miles from storage) and first time out since December 4th because it had just been too cold to enjoy... Loved every moment, I did a very short video you can see it and pics if you check my G+ page (go back to Valentine's day weekend)...
+Christina Coloradoan That is a nice long trip! Checked out the video and pics, that looks like a great little camper and an amazing spot! Can't believe it was 85degrees! I like G+, I haven't really explored around on it too much, I will have to do so!
Colorado Camperman Thank you, I love Lolita - she's so perfect for my needs 🌞 Yes, I totally took advantage of the holiday weekend - I left on Wednesday so I could get that spot... Just south of where I was a small city developed and we were all alone in our awesome spot. This is not my first rodeo lol. G+ is pretty cool, RUclipsrs don't seem to interact on there very much even though YT and G+ are already conected. Really love your new camper and am glad you all can stay warm safely in there... Awaiting your next video 🌞🌞🌞
+Christina Coloradoan Gotta take advantage of those weekends while you can! It always helps when you go to a spot multiple times, then you can figure out where is the best place :) Yeah, the only guy that I know that does G+ is Blacktop Boondocker. Otherwise it seems like most RUclipsrs stay on YT or use Facebook. I am really loving the camper too! So much better than the old one. I will post some videos of the trip, looking to do a mid-trip upload here tomorrow :)
Awesome videos of snowboarding! love it wish I had a balance to do that kind of stuff, but I don't have it! I still try though. I wish I could have seen as much snow as you have there. we have hardly had any snow so it has mostly been a brown winter. but mild is nice as well. been in my camper everyweekend and I have only filled my 30lb bottles three times. one of those times I forgot to shut the furnace off so they ran all week without me there. so realistically 4 30lb bottles got me through this winter so far with 3/4 of a bottle to spare! Thanks for sharing, definitely worth watching. Jed
+NDNomad Thanks Jed! Yeah, there is a pretty good amount of snow. Believe it or not, I think the mountains are a little lower than average for this time of year too! Sometimes there is nothing wrong with a mild winter, if it is too cold for too long it's easy to get sick of winter. You're propane usage is amazing! You're camper must be insulated very well because that seems fantastic! There will be more trips to come, I have a pretty awesome trip coming up that will be almost a week long! Stay tuned!
I’m on the hunt for an inexpensive truck camper. I’m actually going to sell my street legal dirt bike and use the money from that for the camper. I work as a concrete pump operator and I never ride my bike anymore. My time for play is snowboarding season so that’s my plan for the 2019/20 season
You sound like me! Lol, I really enjoyed the truck camper and camping at ski resorts. It was an absolute blast! Since we had a kiddo I sold the truck camper, but hope to get back into it when he is old enough to ski or ride. Good luck selling the bike and finding a truck camper, you're going to have a great time!
Colorado Camperman ya man last season was incredible but being how we have 2 new little ones ourselves my wife wasn’t keen on the idea of me taking as many trips as I would have liked to. This year she said I could buy a season pass so I’m gonna run with it! Hahaha!! She doesn’t know if my plan yet but I figure if I sell the bike and maybe keep the camper around the $5k mark she can’t get too upset! Haha it’s going on my 2011 Ford F-350 long bed crew cab 4x4 with a 6.7L diesel so the truck is on point I just need the camper!
@@rcppop3090 I agree, last season was amazing! Yeah, it is always hard to get away from the family. Lol, good luck with trying to pull that off, I hope you are more successful then my attempts! $5k would get you a nice truck camper, just be sure to check for water damage. I didn't do a great job checking for water damage on my first one and had to re-build the entire front bunk. That is a great truck for your camper. Good choice on the long bed too. You'll have no problem hauling a camper around!
Nice! Probably around 15mpg. The trailer didn't really have a huge impact on mpg. More so the truck camper. Unloaded at the time I would get around 20mpg.
hey man hows it been ? i got my truck camper finally! i was going to ask, whats it like winter camping, and having condensation. and or whats the best way to reduce it ?
Yep this convinced me to get the Copper/ Winter Park pass next year. What's the price of it? Damn Vail Pass looked fun, I snowshoed from Copper lastg winter. Fun stuff! Do you guys carry any avy gear? Never mind just saw the end of the video. Andy
+Andy Timinsky I love Copper and being able to camp is a bonus. The Copper season pass was $440 when I bought it, then we got 3 days at Taos, Purgatory, and Monarch - which we will have used all 9 days at those resorts (plus probably 20ish days at Copper). If you get the Super pass plus, you get unlimited Copper/Winter Park/Eldora and 6 days at Steamboat. Super Pass Plus is usually around $550-$600. Vail pass was great, a few of our runs were super wind blown though. It took us a while to find the powder, but when we did it was amazing! Anytime we do backcountry stuff, we always wear beacon/probe/shovel. We had a pretty sketchy trip near Aspen a few years ago where the snowpack shifted on us when we were hiking to the Goodwin Greene hut. We were wearing all of our gear, but scary as sh*t! Here's the trip video: ruclips.net/video/MIyNeJDf3dE/видео.html BTW, what software do you use to edit your videos?
hey man so copper mountain parking lot is still cool to camp at? I'm gonna be in colorado for 2 weeks in december and I'm looking for a place to park my van/camper for the 2 weeks gonna be hitting up vail/breck/keystone. do i need to talk to anyone before or will i be good and not hassled by police? Do they plow the lot in the mornings so my fwd van can get out every morning? also any other spots in summit county? thanks man
It seems like Winter camping is your favorite! No snow where I live, just surf. hahahaha

Nice channel!! I can not wait to purchase a truck camper! Please keep the amazing videos coming!!
+Izell Austin Thank you very much! Truck campers are great, have fun looking for one!

Cool! Looked like a whole lot of fun! Are you getting a sled now?? Great video!
tanks you for video. 🏂⛄🍺🍛👍حض أوفر لك سيدي الطيب في حياتك ✌

Was thinking of getting a similar set up. what kind of mpg do you get with the trailer, sleds, and camper?
