Best video showing this camper on RUclips. Others don’t show the dinette bed, electrical in the bunk area, or size of the storage cubbies. Good job!
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful!
Nice truck camper. I just bought the Soaring Eagle 6.5XL loaded and out the door for $23,500--No wood in the Eagle, it's all Aluminum. It's great for weekends fishing at Toledo Bend. No squatting on the back of my F-150 4X4.😀
Those are pretty cool! Great for solo travelers that don't need a furnace or anything, just something simple and small. How much does yours weigh?
@@evansrvs dry weight was around 1200 lbs, but with air conditioning, microwave and the shit I've put in it around 1500 lbs
2:34 Please box in the front of the water tank so I don't damage anything using the storage, and protect those wires going off to the right. 4:09 Every lithium battery I've seen has holes in the terminals for 8mm bolts, so I'd rather have ring connectors than terminal clamps. Also I'd like a composting toilet option. Otherwise, great camper! Hopefully in a few years they'll start showing up on the used market in my price range and I'll be happy to do these mods myself. 🙂
That works for me as a single guy. Great layout with a lot of storage, how big was the water tank? I would think that unit is still pretty heavy for most 1/2 tons once you get water, food, clothes and gear in it.
it’s awesome! 15 gallon fresh water, and it definitely is heavy. You want to have probably 2k in payload to be safe, more if it’s more than one person.
Yes, all truck-campers are still way too heavy. OR, the trucks they make nowadays just don't have enough payload capacity. That has to be addressed because you need a huge truck to handle these things. No thanks, don't want a huge/fuel-guzzling truck. Presently, I have a mid-size truck, and it can't handle even this "Lite" camper. Sad.

There are PLENTY of half ton configurations to get you over 2,000lb of payload capacity. Yours might not work, but a LOT out there do.
They may say 2000 lbs capacity but there is no way you can do it. I have a 2021 Dodge 1500 Crew Cab 5.7 liter hemi. I've put 1600 lbs in the box and the back end is weighed down. At 2000 lbs the front end would sway and your control of the vehicle is compromised, I tried it. Any 1/2 ton would need upgraded springs, heavy load tires and possibly air bags to keep the truck level. Bottom line is this trailer fully loaded is too heavy for a stock set up 1/2 ton. Just my opinion but I would have a 3/4 ton for that trailer. Thanks for the video, Northern Lite is a great truck camper.
@@evansrvs I'm not going to buy a new truck just for a truck-camper, and even then a truck that can't do what my current truck does for me. So I'd need a truck-camper to fit my truck, not get a truck to fit a truck-camper. I don't care about "other trucks" out there, I'm talking about mine. ANY mid-size truck would be challenged with these obese truck-campers. It would be too much wear & tear on the truck and/or be unsafe.
As said, the truck-campers are ALL too heavy. For me, only a small TT would work.

Also it’s in the description!
65K lol😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing that pretty sweet for a small truck what’s the cost
Citrus 620 truck camper built for a half ton pickup is much nicer than the northern light! I'm sorry to say that as I'm a Canadian and would prefer to buy Canadian but the citrus is much nicer with proper closets with doors and hidden toilet!
I agree, I was looking at the 620, until I saw the Outpost 6.5, a better layout.
Check out the Outpost 6.5 by SanJuan Vans! That's the best camper to purchase!
It looks promising, but can never recommend a product that isn’t even released yet, there are none on the market so we don’t know how the QC will be, or how the product is going to stand up. One thing we know for sure? Northern Lite has a multi-decade track record of extremely high quality.
Yes, 100%, that is what I did., easy choice
Nice unit! $?
Very interested in 610 however, have Chev 1500, do you have alternative to the 610? just need a nicer unit for the price quoted, thanks
So you like the 610, but you’re looking for something lighter, or something nicer?
LITHIUM not included? Only a space for them? Nice layout; cushions look cheap. Outpost 6.5 truck camper $10k cheaper, lithium battery and 3k inverter included too, and similar layout, plus no cheap plywood, a better deal. Otherwise, nice camper, kinda.
Lithium is optional, we don't option it so that our clients can choose their own battery setup. Cushions are definitely not cheap, they're very comfortable and last quite a long time in all the other models as well!
The outpost isn't even shipping yet is it? It comes in $7,000 USD less at *base* price, but we won't know how it actually stands up until they start shipping them.
What is the price
MSRP is ~64k CAD, sale price is $59,894 + applicable taxes
you can't afford it.
👍
Anybody ever put a truck camper on a car hauler trailer? Easy pulling with the camper and trailers weight. Car hauler can haul a lot of weight.
Oh yeah, lots of people do that with truck campers.
In fact, Northern Lite transports them on trailers a lot of the time, one in the truck and two or three on a trailer.
Same style sink that they put in the nee T@B 360 and no one likes it. The one-piece cover takes up the whole countertop. At least split it in the middle so you can have the sink accessible with the burner side covered and serving as a countertop space.
Good point, I hadn’t thought of that!
What is the bed size?
54x80
How much does this camper run for?
This one came in at $58,894 CAD
Can I put it on my Dodge Dakota
Unfortunately not! The distance between the wheel wells isn't wide enough.
Not suitable for 5.5 inches tall man or woman
Oh absolutely it is, I can stand up in it and I’m 5’11. The bed is 80” long
I've seen a lot better!
Pretty hard to beat NL build quality! What else have you seen? I’m always excited to learn
Well yeah......for 70k it ought to be good. LOL........
In what universe is this $70,000?
