Assalamualikum sheikh. Just few days back I was in a discussion, one of my family member hoping to get husband like prophet sallahu alaiyassallam but when it comes to beard she refused for the boy to keep beard. how funny! Dear brothers in Islam, shaving beard is strongly prohibited- this is the only sunnah you can take with you in your grave, noting else from this dunia
Well this answered my question about wearing long garments because my sheikh at the local mosque said that you can't place everyone in the same category since its a "warning" from the prophet (hadiths like these)
This ruling only applies to men who are able to grow beards, just to clarify. Having something on your face is better than clean shaving, so guys who can grow beards you should strive to
Jazakh'AllahKhair for pointing that out. I always wanted a nice, big beard. However, even as a man in my 50s, my "beard" is VERY sparse; more like ambitious side burns with a little goatee!😅 I thank Allah for my little beard, though!🤲🏽
Don't speak without knowledge. Ur a nobody, if someone follows this advice and shaved jus beard because he says he isn't able to, u will be also punished in hell
It’s sad to see some even old person I saw with clean shave in the mosque, they knew it’s compulsory but refused to keep it for his comfort but will he get the comfort in the eternal life which is very soon to start, just think my brother’s May Allah save us from the hell fire.
Assalamu alaikum. Just a quick question. What if you are in a situation where your beard grows normally on your chin area, and on the right side of your face, but nothing at all on the left side of your face. Is it okay to present yourself publicly with a one-sided beard? Or is it okay to keep the chin hairs, trim the hairs on your right side of your face and wait for the day hair starts to grow on the left side of your face to keep everything?
In the case of keeping beard, all four schools of thought have unanimous consensus..But it's heard the leaders of the madaahib have stated conditions for lowering garments below ankles to be punishable..Would you clarify, please?
Alhamdulilla-h Wassalatu Wassalamu ‘Ala Rasulilla-h Bismilla-hir Rahma-nir Rahi-m I have an opinion regarding the hadith. Alloh (swt) knows how correct it is. My opinion - 1. Let us consider a person who does not have parents. 2. Let us consider a person who does not have neighbors. 3. Let us consider a person who is very very isolated. 4. For this person the pillars of Islam remain still open and there is no reason to not performing them except the disabilities. 5. And I think for those who are not living that isolated , they can not avoid there other responsibilities. And I think those other responsibilities have connection with the first pillar of Islam. And Alloh (swt) knows best.
Shaving is prohibited what about trimming it because we are likely to lose job opportunities . I personally Allah didn't bless me with much beards and am an African ,we have curled, wavy kinky hair style if you dare not look after the beard ,you are likely to be shabby so my question is "is trimming allowed ?"
Can you please reply to brothers that say it is not permissible to completely shave but there is no consensus and allow to shave below fist's length because ibn umar, abu hurayra who narrated the hadith to grow the beard took off hair below a fist length and many salaf did this, should we understand sunnah according to the salaf ?
The root of the problem is that many muslims are not well informed about the different meanings of the word 'sunnah' itself. The word sunnah has three separate meanings that are often mixed up by Muslims when the term arises in discussions. *Sunnah as a ruling* The first sense of sunnah is in the context of shari`ah rulings. Here, sunnah is synonymous with the mandub or “recommended”, meaning something that one deserves a reward in the next life for doing-such as using the miswak to clean one’s teeth before prayer-but is not punished for not doing. It can be contrasted in this context with the “wajib” or obligatory, meaning something that one is rewarded in the next life for doing- such as performing the prescribed prayers-and deserves punishment in the next life for not doing. The sunnah in this sense is at the second level of things Allah has asked of us, after the wajib or obligatory. *A source of Islam* A second sense of sunnah is in the context of identifying textual sources, as when the Kitab, meaning the Qur’an, is contrasted with the sunnah, meaning the Hadith. In this sense, sunnah is strictly synonymous with Hadith, and is used to distinguish one’s evidence from that of the Qur’an. One should note that this is quite a different sense from the above-mentioned meaning of the word sunnah, though sometimes people confuse the two, believing that the Qur’an determines the obligatory, while the Hadith determines what is merely sunnah or recommended-but in fact, rulings of both types are found in the Qur’an, just as they are in the Hadith. *A way of Life* A third sense of sunnah is the way of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This is embodied in: - The things he said, did, and in his noble states of heart; together with the things he approved of in others (whether by explicit confirmation, or by allowing them to be done in his presence without condemning them), - and the things that he intended to do but did not get the chance, such as fasting on the ninth of Muharram (Tasu`a’). Here, sunnah simply means the Prophet’s way. It should not to be confused with either of the two senses mentioned above. In contrast to the first sense, *_his sunnah or way (peace and blessings be upon him) includes not just the recommended, but rather the whole shari`ah, the entire spectrum of its rulings, whether obligatory (wajib), recommended (sunnah), permissible (mubah), or avoiding the offensive (makruh) or unlawful (haram)._* And in contrast with the second sense, his sunnah or way (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is preserved not only in the Hadith, but first and foremost in the Qur’an, for as `A’ishah (Allah be well pleased with her) notes in the hadith “His character was the Qur’an” (Al-Bukhari). The confusion and non sequiturs that often result when Muslims discuss the sunnah could perhaps be better avoided if these distinctions were kept in mind. Follow the truth, if there is clear evidence showing that it is mandatory (which there is) you should follow and Allah knows best, May Allah bless you brother.
As imam shafi said every man is falliable except the prophet of Allah the prophet commanded for men to leave their beards. So do you pick a madhab over the direct command of the prophet of Allah? Itaqillah i warn you of a day when we will have wished we obeyed the prophet of Allah.
Sincere question. Plz mention what four schools of thought, ibni taimiyaah(r.a),etc. say about trousers below ankles.U will shocked to see there statements .
The salafy always buzy about the outside outfit whether our beard in a correct sunnah or our outfit followed sunnah but the ahli sunnah buzy in cleaning heart to become a servant of Allah insya'Allah....
To avoid imitating those who during that time wore long garments and dragged them on the ground with a sense of arrogance. Arrogance is haram. Keeping your lower garments above ankles (but below kneeds for men) keeps that form of arrogance in check. Though it does not mean that a person with trousers above his ankles will not have other forms of arrogance, but usually doing this sets one towards the path to humility, which is a great characteristic to have.
Is it permissable shaving beard because of work?.. In my country, working as army, and police must shave the beard.. Eventhouh deeply in my heart im realy want to grow beard... Any one can answer? Its my occupation make me sin because must shaving beard??..
I think you should reconsider you lecture..this is serious..in sahih bukhari prophet Muhammad clearly prohibited about wearing trouser below ankle with arrogance..with arrogance dear brother..why do you left out the word arrogance?..saidina Abu Bakr ask Rasulullah about his long trousers below ankle and Rasulullah replied, "you did not do it because of arrogance"..this is in sahih bukhari as well..the highlight here is arrogance not just about long trousers..so please, i am begging you please dont confuse your audience

Of course. Shaving a beard is haram according to the 4 schools of thoughts. And almost all scholars of Islam from beginning till now says it is Haram to shave. There is a hadith where Prophet says do the opposite of what the jews do. Shave your mustache and grow beard. Regarding trimming it. There is iasure of dispute. @@velbo7712 there are two opinions 1.you can cut below the fistful of your hand of a beard 2.Leave the beard.... Assimalhakim stand with the opinion is just leave the beard let it grow 👍
Layman simply means ignorant/beginner. Its word that defines how much a person knows about a specific thing. People that know little to no information about a certain topic is called a layman.
Just for men. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said a woman is Awra(private) except her face and hand. This means she has to cover her feet in front of non mahram. But only Imam Abu Hanifa said that a woman feet is excluded in the Awra but she has to cover her ankle. The authentic opinion is she has to cover her feet
Sorry, but I think the lack of common sense and the understanding of Islam results in answers like this. What do they even study during their Alim or Mufti courses? Likely nothing!!
