Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection]’.”
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.(minor sins)

In my case, I started out not following any madhab or scholar. I just thought I had to be a Muslim and that's it. Watching some videos which included Sheikh Assim al Hakim prodded me out of that attitude, leading me to see why I do need to follow a sheikh(s) within a madhab. Just to say, I do follow the Hanbali madhab.

Selamun Aleykum. Dear Sheikh, My madhab is Hanefa. But i watched wudu videos and i researched about other madhabs. I found in Hanefa somethings in wudu, kinda base on weak hadiths. And in prayer, before salam, dua for protection from 4 things, they didn't teach in Hanefa teaching. Now i'm doing that dua now. Now, can i do wudu and prayer with base on sahih hadiths? Or should i keep my hanefa style wudu and prayer?
I don't try to pick which i like, i just wanna best i can do and closer to what Resullullah (S.A.W) did.

To help remember which rak'ah u're in during prayer, u can make a different dua in each sujud, along with the usual "Subhana Rabbi al-‘Aala." Here’s how u can do it:
      First Rak'ah:
      Second Rak'ah:
nd so on for each rak'ah.
by assigning specific duas to each sujud in every rak'ah, u’ll have a unique reminder for which rak'ah u're in, inshaAllah.

"The sheikh will protect you on the day of judgement". Wow.
The day for which even the prophets (PBUT) feared for themselves and their families.
    Seriously!!!!??
Will the sheikh take sins from one of his followers even if the follower did something wrong or something which is not in Quran or Sunnah (Bidah etc)?!!
Day of judgement, where even Iblis/Satan will tell his followers to get away as he never forced anybody to follow him, you expect the Sheikhs to take the blame for people who don't dig deeper to find the truth and misunderstand or follow mistakes made by the Sheikh?!!!
    Seriously!!!!?
The people from the Ummah of Propeht PBUH (inlcuding form his companions) who would be refused water from thr hands of the Prophet (PBUH) from the Fountain (Kawthar) on the day of judgment. And here this wrong advice trying to give higher status to Sheikhs of Islam and think they can take the blame for a layman.
    Really!!!!?
Such ideolgy is also the cause of Sects/Firqas.
Shall I go on with more pointers???!!!
A layman also has to struggle to search for the truth as much as possible.
The concept being told here and by many other muftis/scholars is basically making people relaxed/lazy and then they follow blindly a single Madhab without researching properly.
Now a days, most of the laymen are the ones who have time for Social Media etc, but no time for making an effort to READ the Quran, Seerah and Hadith themselves.
Such advice has made people not to question Ulemas/Muftis etc, whereas ALLAH has ordered us to Ponder upon HIS verses, reason, question the concepts until we understand and believe it with our hearts and mind.
Not to follow any Sheikh/Madhab blindly just because "Simon said so".
We should be following only Quran and Sunnah (Seerah and Hadith) and learn from the different scholars while comparing/investigating/understanding their teachings inlinr with Quran and Sunnah.
Not to stick to a single Madhab or follow anyone blindly!!

Here I do not agree with him.
I feel that sometimes the scholars intentionally/unintentionally get detracked or make mistakes and think they are better.
    It happens.
All knowledge belongs to ALLAH only and he gives as much as HE wants to anyone.
A kid of 7 years old might know/understand some topic of Islam better than any sheikh because ALLAH put it in his/her head/heart. He/she might raise a question/answer which someone might not have thought/answered before.
Hence we (specially the ulemas) should always be open to criticism, questioning/reasoning. And never think otherwise.

This in itself is against the basic principle of gaining knowledge. We have Quran and Sunnah as our daleel, then why listen to just 1 scholar when we have different scholars with different opinions on the same subject?
