    1. Took syahadah, but not practice.
    2. Practice Islam normally, passive belivers.
    3. Practiced and doing simple research for personal knowledge.
    4. Practiced and doing simple dakwah (may or may not have islamic education background).
    5. Student of knowledge. Have broad islamic education background. Broad knowledge. Can quote sources etc.
    6. Scholar. Deep knowledge. Deep research. Knowledge in wide range of sources.

I struggle to agree with any of these opinions. there are multiple arguments that are baseless. Every Muslim has the responsibility to learn about his/her faith. one cannot say, I believe without knowing what you believe in. Secondly, all Madhabs are different on many topics and contradict each other and so they cannot all be correct. They are surely correct on topics they agree on, but where they disagree, someone is definitely wrong. this wrong stand is made palatable by using the - "1 hasna for being wrong and 2 for being right". how conveniently the "Ulema" reserve this win-win for themselves and do not extend it to all muslims. I argue we have an obligation to take the easy path and if we make a mistake in choosing the Imam who is mistaken on a given topic, we would be covered by the 1 hasna rule. So, I think we should all ask around and find the answer that makes more sense to us and seems closer to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. Shop around! Stop following Imams blindly! we follow Allah and Rasool SAW only, blindly. All others must show evidence!

Personally I agree with you but this does not apply for the ummah at large because most Muslims will not have the time or interest to do their own research like some of us. So the madhab system makes it simple to stick to a structured system. Also all of the imams have studied from various mentors including sahaba and taabeiin they also respect each other and acknowledge eachothers works. Imam Abu hanifa also mentioned that if we find anything contradictory to the quran and sunnah we should therefore discard it. Still we are sure that their jurisdiction is based on authentic hadith.

In reality, how many Muslim research/study deeply in Islam? Minority. For example in the ruling of touching non mahram while in ablution. There's multiple hadith saying it's either the ablution cancelled or not. So which ruling should we choose? So for majority of people, they should follow their mazhab in those situation because they themselves don't know how to interpret such hadith. Wallahualam

9:08 i didn’t expected this answer cz the definition he gave of a mujtahid is totally wrong a random person who passed from a madrasa can't be a mujtahid.
Mujtahid is someone who have the ability to research and bring fatwa from evidence's and for them following a school of thought is not permissible.
The famous mujtahid imam are 4
Imam Abu hanifa, Malek, safi'e, ahmad.

There is no evidence from Qur'an and sunnah that there will be four madhabs etc.
Who gave people the right to make these madhabs? Were the sahabas devided into madhabs?
We are commanded in Quran to follow Allah , his messenger and the sahabas and we are commanded to ask the people of knowledge but if there is some dispute then go back to Allah and his Rasool s.a.w only because there can be difference between the scholars and even the sahabas but there can be no differences between Allah and his Rasool s.a.w.
When we are commanded ask the scholars we are not commanded to follow only a fixed school of thought because this madhabs are man made and just because four madhabs were able to spread successfully and more than 10 madhabs could not survive because their followers could not carry them or they didn't get support from the rulers etc. we cannot say there are only four madhabs.
In fact there is nothing in Islam which supports this view of having a madhab and following a particular madhab even if one knows that the other scholar has different views backed up by authentic proofs .
If one doesn't know then it's ok to follow a scholar but how can you follow a scholar when you know that the scholar is giving you proof from authentic sources and the one you follow has less authentic proof?
How so many things can be haram and halal at the same time?
If you are a shafie and touch your wife after wudhu your wudhu breaks and your friend being a hanafi if he touches his wife after making wudhu his wudhu would remain intact?
You have to look for the correct opinion just like you look for correct opinion from a doctor.
One doctor says you have TB and the other says you have asthma you cannot say just because this is my family doctor whatever he says is correct.
You have the right to cross verify if you come across a decision of your doctor which makes you suspicious, you have the right to look for second opinion or a third one.
If you are not interested then it's up to you but you cannot stop others from doing so, you cannot say you are not a doctor, how would you know which doctor is correct?
In matters of health you take so much precaution and in matters of Deen you make it so rigid that one has to follow a particular madhab out of four madhabs?
If four madhabs say pronouncement of three divorces in a single sitting the Talaaq takes place and the wife is divorced permanently and a scholar differs with all of them and brings evidence from Qur'an and sunnah that only one talaaq takes place , how can you say he is wrong because all the four madhabs have the same view? Who gave you the right to make four madhabs the criteria to know what is right and what is wrong or what is more correct?
The only criteria is Qur'an and sunnah .
If a scholar tells you something and you believe that is from Qur'an and authentic sunnah and even if he was not right then you won't be sinful but if you believe no matter what Qur'an and sunnah says I will follow my own madhab then you are in a great trouble my brother because you have no evidence to backup your claim that Allah made it waajib on you to follow a school of thought blindly.
      WallahooAalam.

I totally agree with you brother I think the same about school of thought that who gave them right to distinguish themselves from others
And i sometimes think if they were not there it would have been more easy to follow the sunnah of our prophet and
quran they made it more difficult for a layman to understand simple wording of our prophet
I will follow the hadith and quran why would I need someone else to give me fatwa Or something
It's quite easy today with the tech we have but people still can't search on their own and see whts wrong and right just follow the words of prophet Muhammad akhi what is stopping you
There are many scholars out there making their own story after following a madhab and I feel very angry when they state a wrong hadith and people blindly listen to them
And yes about that divorce thing it is definitely counted as one if one said 3 talaq at onee sitting but at time of umar ra it was changed he said if one gave 3 divorce in one sitting he will be divorced
And there was more of the thing which I don't remember now and this is what all school of thoughts agree upon and they say it's correct

    • @Indianman536
      @Indianman536 3 месяца назад

@@ahsanazam3112 Even if you take the rulings of all the four madhabs as evidence that 3 Talaaq should be considered as 3 then you must remember imam Malik's fatwa is not one but he has been reported to have another view as well. Imam Ahmed is also reported to have changed his stand and Umar r.a is also reported to regret his decision of counting 3 Talaaqs as 3 .
Even a child can understand that if 3 was 3 at the time of prophet s.a.w then Umar r.a would have changed nothing, the fact he changed it as punishment and all sahabis did not differ although no body can claim their was ijmaa because there is a difference between obeying and not objecting the rule of khalifa and really not differing from the command of a ruler.
At the time of Umar r.a when he changed the law everyone obeyed the law just like he changed the punishment for drinking alcohol because a ruler can change the punishments according to necessity of that particular time but that's not a permanent change of Islamic Sharia. Sharia remains the same as practiced and taught by prophet s.a.w.
Umar r.a snatched the right of a man of going back to his wife (ruju) after they broke the Qur'anic law of divorce. Umar r.a accepted the proposal of a Christian clan that they would pay double jizya but it should be called zakaat .
Umar r.a said ok you can call it whatever you want , Although no scholar has ever accepted that zakaat should applied on non Muslims or the name should be changed from jizya to zakaat so that non Muslims should not feel bad. The ruler has the right to changed laws according to his needs but that law is not obligatory on people who are not under his rule . It's like shortening of prayers while traveling etc. These are temporary measures, scholars agree if one wants he can pray all the rakahs while traveling there is no harm but if one wants to shorten the prayers then this facility is given by Allah and is Rasool s.a.w according to the sunnah.
This option to change the number of rakahs temporarily doesn't alter the fixed numbers of fard salah and their numbers.
Even today a situation arises scholars and rulers can apply three Talaaqs as final seperation verdict but the sharia will remain the same that no matter how many times you say Talaaq, the facility Allah gave you to make ruju will remain there until the ruler catches you misusing the law and punishes you.

The main reason is that we should not follow which is wrong while the other madhab or sahih hadith says it is correct. For example, in Indian there are Hanafi who follows imam Abu hanifa. Here raising hands when we or imam says Allahuakbar is wrong when this Sahih hadith says it is a sunnah and it is mentioned in sahih al bukari. No one should follow false information, no one should ignore the sunnah of prophet Muhammad saw pbuh. Thays why, we need to research for even a small thing and need to check weather is it part of sunnah or not. Me as a person born from a Hanafi family I changed, corrected my way of praying which includes every sunnah which each madhab says it's not when they are mentioned in sahih Hadiths.

Only ulema ikram/mufti’s who knows quran, sunnah, fiqh in details can form an opinion about an issue that may go in line or agsinst these mujtahids,, not a general person can do this by browsing internet
In summary there are only two categories (1)first one is mujtahid who can derive masail from quran and sunnah
    (2) other one is general public who cannot derive masail directly themselves from quran and sunnah, so they have to follow some nujtahid
