this 'shiekh' is a deviant. you can clearly see it from this fake fatwa along with his other questions where you will notice 2 things. 1 of them is his tendency to attack other muslims who ask questions and trying to shame them. Just because he is popular doesnt mean you should trust him, just because he quotes Quran and Sunnah but twists it according to his own whims and this is how Shaytan misguides the Ummah. By using bought out fake scholars, which is exactly what ibn baz (his scholar) was. Seek knowledge with a clean heart, and Allah will make these fake scholars stench unbearable.
I think the same, but perhaps this case is different because it's food and you don't want to waste it? Our religion is also full of concessions and mercies from Allah, to make it easier. I still don't eat any meat I don't know about. Allahu 3alam.
@@abdulmalek8321 Salam brother, you should add the proof alongside the comment. Otherwise, it does seem like you are slandering a brother in Islam. Which is a grave thing to do. There is no need to do that in fact, since scholars do differ in opinions, but they don't do low kicks like that. So please my brother, regardless of what the Sheikh said, let the discussion be as it should. For your character at least. I don't want the Shaytan to make our ummah be toxic and divided, division of opinion shouldn't cause this necessarely. Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatulah.
Which country 90 Percent of Christians or non christians in usa hit animal with gun and electricity or gas Animal dies before u slaughter I saw a video in uk or usa i think The guy used to work for multiliple halal companys and he said they used gas before slaughtering And he found out 70 percent of chicken died before slaughtering Now u go to qufars 95 percent non halal way They dont care halal way of christian way method Theyre atheist majority in usa and europe
It wouldn’t matter how religious the u.s was Because Protestant and Catholics don’t even practice kosher laws of slaughtering Mentioned in Leviticus Unlike orthodox Christians and Jews do Which would be Halal for Muslims
I went to Sri lanka in the past.. i do not remember clearly but this one time i stayed in the hindu hotel. When i eat my breakfast there, i just ask them to make me a vege omelet and also some tea/coffee. Normally they will provide omelet with meat inside to their customers, but i requested for vege omelet instead Last year, i went to malawi and i stayed in another hotel. I arrived at the hotel late at night and i went to the hotel's restaurant to eat dinner.. and i saw for the menu they sell pork also. But i ordered for a vege pizza and some hot drinks. Its not that difficult guys, trust me.. when you are certain and find halal restaurant then you can enjoy eating meats otherwise if you cant, just eat like a vegetarian people. Its simple as that.
Your pizza was likely cut with the same pizza cutter that cuts other pizzas with pork and haram toppings. And was the cheese on your pizza halal? Most cheeses have Rennet in it, which makes the cheese haram.
it is not just pork thats the issue, non muslims throw wine in their sauces as well and u cant sit in a place that serrves alcohol. when u saw a restaurant serving pork that should be your indication to not eat there and rather go to a place that only sells fish or vegan food. receiving food from someone is not the same as going to a restaurant to eat. a restauant gives u a menu so u can see what is being prepared in that kitchen so you cannot claim ignorance.
You're not gonna die if you don't eat from macdonald kfc Burger King, etc. You don't have to be desperate, Alhamdulillah there's halal food out there 🤦♂️
Exactly why eat that one which is doubtful , controversial and according to majority of scholars it's haraam It's a major sin and if on the day of judgement we're asked why did we not listen to the majority of scholars and ate haraam ......will the respected shayk come to our rescue ? It was halal bcz their slaughter rules were same as islam ....but no more ....
Plenty in the big metropolitan areas in the USA. I live in the NYC Area and there's a halal cart or nice restraunt that serves halal-only dishes. There really isn't an excuse unless you choose to live in an area where there is not a big muslim population.

A great plus about being picky and eating halal only, is that you don’t consume a lot of the available junk food, therefore, it’s easier to watch your weight, stay healthy and cook your own meals too. I’m sticking with halal certified.
Lol quite the opposite. Because you’ve made haram that which is halal you’re stuck to eating rice and potatoes all the time. A lot of “halal” only people are fat and unhealthy
Narrated `Aisha: A group of people said to the Prophet SAW, "Some people bring us meat and we do not know whether they have mentioned Allah's Name or not on slaughtering the animal." He SAW said, "Mention Allah's Name on it and eat." Those people had embraced Islam recently. : Book 72, Hadith 33
this is why we muslims need to get back to basics. we need to learn classical arabic so we can read the books of the early scholars ourselves and unerstand it otherwise we are at the mercy of the interpretations of others. May Allah guide us all Ameen
Just for clarity sake: 1. Sheikh has on numerous occasions mentioned that it is not recommended to eat at places which serve pork/alcohol 2. Sheikh is only making reference to restaurants which serve chicken/meat 3. Sheikh is not halaalizing *all* food establishments in the West but is merely stating that its not up to us to interrogate these establishments and question their credibility - we could very well do the same with most 'muslim-owned' halaal establishments too but we dont If we know for certain that the owners of establishments are likely not of the 3 Abrahamaic faiths and that the butchers from where they source their meat does not slaughter the animals, then we avoid
maybe the takeaway point is not to interrogate. Deduce what you can without interrogating. I am in a fish and chip shop, and I see Muslims asking what oil it's cooked in, if the fish abnd meat and prepared seperately etc. It's annoying. The servers get annoyed and they just say nothing here is halal. Why you say the lack of interrogation means auto-approval.
8:41: FYI, the USA constitution does not require public office holders to go through any religious test. The constitution does not require the President to be just from the Christian faith.
This is the strongest argument that I've heard for the permissibility of eating meat in "People of the Book" countries. It mostly rests on the sahih Hadith of the Prophet (s), who was the living example of the Qur'an, and the way he acted in this matter makes this religion EASY for the Muslims. His actions are a MERCY. We should remember that he disliked it when his companions asked too many questions because he would then be forced to answer in a more detailed way and therefore make things difficult for future generations. Generally speaking it's best to avoid this meat, no one argues against this, but as the Shaykh said, you shouldn't think others are sinful for eating the meat here because Prophet (s) didn't demand that we investigate everything.
One needs to also unpack that hadeeth to find out were the food referred to a cooked dish or uncooked meat? And someone who knows u r muslim BRINGING you food is different from you going out in SEARCH of food. There's supermarkets where u can buy raw or canned fish, eggs, etc and cook it yourself. a restaurant menu is clear as day and when you see that a place serves pork/alcohol/frog/snake/rat, etc you cannot claim that you dont know. it is dangerous to take a hadeeth and apply it generally when we dont know the exact wording of it and the scope of its applcation, we know that the fiqh of a matter can be applied differently according to the circumstances of a situation so it is upon every person to consult with their local ulemaa who will be moe familier with the situation of their community.
The western countries like US & UK have a lot of options Halal certification, Kosher certification, Vegetarian, Vegan we don’t need to eat from unknown sources where we don’t know anything about the store or food
His point is that what you are saying is fine but if isn't Islam. Islam is made to be easy for you. Personally I still feel I won't eat a McDonald's burger for the same reasons as you. But it is a personal choice
@@Kuj0Jotar0this is true especially as practices of larger fast food chain such as McDonald's is widely known (e.g frying in lard [pig fat], as well as more transparency on their sources of meat). Did you even watch the video brother. You can eat from an unknown source because the default religion in the country is Christianity. Unless you see with your own eyes the meat get slaughtered inappropriately or get mixed with pork. The people of the book who were serving the Muslims meat in the Hadith could have also been slaughtering pig with the same hands and causing a mix up. Did the prophet pbuh tell them to check? No.
That's the whole point you idiots. YOU DONT HAVE TO ASSUME THE WORST! You ordered beef and got beef youre not supposed to take your magnifying glass out and examine the thing. Even if it was pork you will not get sin as you merely followed quran and sunnah and ordered beef. @@afrozkhan9089

In NYC USA it's easy for me to find and eat Halal food. If I travel and don't find halal food I usually look for seafood or vegetarian food. If I don't find seafood or vegetarian food then I look for permissible foods like beef, chicken, etc from places like Chick-fil-A in a country where people predominantly follow the book (Christian, Jewish). Recently I went on vacation to Atlanta, Georgia in the USA after jet lag I needed to eat and easily I found several local places that served seafood: Shrimp, Salmon, Tuna fish salad at Subway's etc. While at Georgia I traveled to another location and was exhausted from the long walk and wanted to eat. I discovered Uber Eats app on the iPhone and I was easily able to find seafood nearby and have it delivered to my location. 🙂
You missed the point again - you are making exceptions , but Islamic ruling as per prophet Mohammad ahadees as mentioned above means - YES YOU CAN eat it

As an American Christian (Catholic) I found this interesting and took away some good information other than Halal information. We are all children of the Abrahamic religions and believe in the same God. It shows that we should all respect each other and our ways of worshiping God since we are all seeking the same outcome. As we believe in the New and Old Testiment it seems the Muslim teachings speak of of them as books of God and should be respected as well. Correct me if I am wrong.... I enjoy learning especialy since I actualy live in a Muslim country currently (Working)
Yes all of the books are Allah's words and sent down from the sky to guide us. Yet we believe that Old and new testaments are modified (tahreef) by the Hahams and Churches. (Toake some profit out of the books) But the Quran is and will be protected until the day of judgment. Let's say Quran is the final version of the drawing and it is not going to be changed anymore. Like we have preliminary revisions of the drawings, same as here. Quran approves previous books. And apart of 5 pillars of Islam we have 6 pillars of Imaan, and one of that 6 is to believe to all the books sent down including Bible and Torah. May Allah Almighty guide all of us to the right path. Ameen!
brother , i appreciate the nice words from you but ALAH ordered us to tell the things as they are without masks ... i respect you to believe in whatever you want , but there nothing called abrahamic religions , what was the religion of abraham ? Adam ? Daniel ? Mosas ? jesus ? etc etc .... in fact Alah said it clearly in the Quran that he sends prophets since the begining with Adam and Even to deliver his commandments and message to the people and guide them and save them from the Satan... the word religion in arabic is "dyn" and the meaning of it is "the way" or "the path" or "the instruction" to follow and Alah said that there is only one religion since the begining of the creation which is islam , which means "submit the will to Alah". other religions refers to a person , like jewish refer to prophet judah , like christianity refers to prophet Jesus Christ etc ... only prophet Mohamed when he was sent by Alah to tell people the message he said Alah told you that the religion is Islam ..he didn't say "Mohamadish" or "Mohamadity" or whatever... and the message is the QURAN which is the actual literally the words of ALAH (GOD) and in it Alah told us about the Injil (which you call today Bible) and Torah and even other books ..but also he told us that these books has been modified by priests and kings to take away people from the truth and to missguide them to be able to rule and control them at that time... you won't find anything in the Quran that is bad about all prophets ...cuz all of them came for the same reason. one God created the existing , this GOD is above us and above our mind and imagination , this GOD was very clear telling he is GOD and he sends prophets to guide you , gave to each prophet miracles to proove he is powered and suppored by GOD like jesus heals the sicks and even awake the deaths , not because he is GOD but because GOD is all powerfull and gave him this miracle to proove to peopel , jesus peace up him was born by miracle from GOD withut a father, he has no father , it wasnt a normal birth like others , Virgin Mary(Mariam) took him as a baby in her hands to the jewish Rebbies ...they accused her of adultary and said she has this baby outside of marriage so Jesus peace up him spoke at that moment as a baby and glorified his mother and tell them she is innocent and he is the prophet of GOD.... this is the reason why the jewish didnt stone her..and he didnt die on the cross neither put on the cross . God would never let these criminals kill his prophet so he took him flesh to the heaven and made them seeing another person that he made and they though it was jesus. this GOD has a name unique to him no partner no son no wife no father no daughter no past no future no limited place ..his name is ALAH.
Yes Christians and Jews are referred to as "People of the Book"in the Quran because their prophets were sent books. Moses(peacw be upon him) got the Torah and Jesus (pbuh) got the Injeel/Gospel
I used to share the Sheikh’s view on this until Surah 6:118-121 made it clear to me that slaughtered meat must have Allah’s name mentioned on it to be Halal. The absence of any name is not good enough. In Surah 6:118 Allah gives an affirmative command “Eat of that which the name of Allah has been mentioned”. Surah 6:119 Allah gives a rhetorical reflection, “why would you not eat of that which Allah’s name has been pronounced “. Finally in 6:121 Allah gives a negative command “Do not eat of that which the name of Allah Has Not been pronounced for it is sinful”. Allah emphasizes it three times in this section driving the point home. The ayah that says the meat from the People of the Book is Halal for us only allows for them to be a valid slaughterer, but the other conditions of Halal still need to be met. For example, Christians eat pork and bloody steak. Is this meat Halal for us because it was served by a Christian? No, because it violates the other conditions of Halal. So in a Christian land, even if the slaughterer is presumed Christian, the other conditions also need to be fulfilled which are the type of animal, the pronouncement of Allah’s name, the method of slaughter, and the absence of flowing blood.
when you say bloody steak, I hope you're not talking about any steak that isn't well done, because steaks that are ( Rare, Medium Rare, etc) are halal, because that red juice from steak is NOT blood, that is simply myoglobin and water, myoglobin is a protein which causes the red colour in the juices, this is not haram
This is the most reasonable answer I have seen here. It's clear as day. If w Muslim slaughters an animal without the name of Allah, it will not be halal. Forget about christian or Jews.
Sheikh assim al hakeem is one of those scholars who, when he sees a ruler make a mistake, he writes fatwas to cover up their haram. That is the only way that someone can reach the conclusion he has reached. He dismantles the entire concept of halal certification to cover for 1 saudi ruler who was caught eating haram food.
Whether you eat non halal or halal only, the one issue no one cares about is cross containmantion. Why do zabiha only people still buy cheese pizzas from a restaurant in which pork is cooked in the oven as well? Why do they also buy fish filets from McDonald's? You're only bringing up this point to try and say the shaykh is wrong. Why would you guys even move to a kaffir country if this was gonna be a problem
@@chadedwards3676 cross contamination is legit, and Sheikh Assim has already spoken about it in another video. Not sure if pizza ovens fall into that category, it is only the dough that is in contact. As for fish filets or even chicken that is deep fried, I don't know of any deep fried porc.
@calebacrutto9601 Wouldn't there be pork particles in the pizza from the oven though? Besides that I've seen pizza places use the same gloves for the pepperoni as they do for normal cheese or chicken pizzas and when I told some of these strict zabiha adherents they blatantly told me they didn't care and ate anyway.
I don't think meat in Western countries is healthy. They put alot of hormones in the meat and even the milk. I feel it makes people unhealthy. But eating meat in my country you never really gain weight and feel healthier. I just think in general it was hard to find healthy organic food in a Western country unless you paid alot of money. Hormones in the food is really bad. The kids even develop faster and people get to very large sizes that you never see in developing countries.

In my opinion, if we generalize eating at restaurants which don't provide halal meat, what would happen to the halal slaughter house/restaurants?? Doent that mean we are discouraging those places? We, as muslims should be proud of our identity and culture. Allah will definitely give barakah to people who leaves these gray areas for the sake of Allah
I feel like this blatant ignorance of “don’t ask, don’t tell” mentality is going to be detrimental to us as muslims. Many countries with mixed cultures including many in Asia have halal certifications. By saying things like this can mean the end of such certifications.
You are missing the point my brother Learn from the story of Al-Baqarah It is not blatant ignorance The certificate is a regulation and a means but the regulations itself is not wajib, just a means to reach it.
Never purchase meat cooked or uncooked from Non-muslims. The Salafi aqeedah is riddled. They copy and paste parts of hadith and ignore others. They are not allowed to use REASON in any way, shape or form. When we were in muzdalifa, cooked meat was passed to us from an unknown source, however all people there were Muslim so we ate it.
@creditiscomplicated-sm3mh Narrated An-Nu`man bin Bashir: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "Both legal and illegal things are obvious, and in between them are (suspicious) doubtful matters. So whoever forsakes those doubtful things lest he may commit a sin, will definitely avoid what is clearly illegal; and whoever indulges in these (suspicious) doubtful things bravely, is likely to commit what is clearly illegal. Sins are Allah's Hima (i.e. private pasture) and whoever pastures (his sheep) near it, is likely to get in it at any moment."
Sheikh the issue is that almost all of the slaughterhouses in the west slaughter the animal using either a stun gun or with gas, which makes the meat haram.
@@muktarusman7196 It's the default with slaughterhouses in the West. They kill the animal with a stun gun without any blood flow. This makes the meat haram regardless of whether it was done by a Muslim or Christian.
NO ! The Hadith stating that you can just say Bismillah over meat that you don't know if it's correctly slaughtered or not IS REFERRING TO EMERGENCY SITUATION WHERE there's nothing left to eat and the people who gave it can't be traced. Second, PEOPLE OF THE BOOK means those who ONLY WORSHIP ALLAH (GOD), NOT TRINITY OR OTHER MEANS Third, Therefore It's HARAAM to consume if there's no mentioning of ONLY ALLAH'S Name for any slaughtering because That's what required in ISLAM and of THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK.

Looking back and wondering wow what sabr wala people they where, my parents were not overly practicing muslims but boy did they ingrain halaal and harm foods into us thanks Allah for their sabr this is one stuggle we didn't have to go through . So sad we have do many choices and here we are trying to find a way to turn McDonald's any which way to some sort of halaal. Man will only be satisfied the day he reachs his last home
You missed the sheikh's message completely. Instead of assuming that halal food is easily accessible and affordable for everyone, you could have simply said, "I would recommend that everyone considers eating Halal food." It's important to avoid making assumptions about the availability and affordability of Halal food, as it can be challenging for some people to find. Also, don't assume that your parents fed you Halal food solely because of religious beliefs; it could be due to tradition or other reasons. I can say as well "that the concept of Halal food has evolved, and today, it's often used as a marketing tool to charge more for potentially lower-quality products made with cheap labor" but it's a generalization, which is exactly what the sheikh cautioned against. Islam is meant to be simple and beautiful, so let's not make it unnecessarily difficult for others. Thank you, and may Allah reward you for your efforts to ensure the food you consume is Halal.
I ask ALLAL to punish you Wahabis and Salafis that you are interpreting by your own knowledge and guiding people towards wrong path. Among 4 sect of اهل سنه which Emam said that the meat sloutered by مشرکین ؛، کافران is Halal? You still dont know; in our world there isn't any اهل کتاب because all of them is مشرک as all of them believe The Jesus is God.
I was always taught, when in doubt about whether a food is allowed or not according to the religion, it is best to leave it. No investigation needed, used ones own judgement. As we all know the butcher on the farm can be of any faith or without faith at all, so why the need to go any further to question the state of halal or haram meat. The preparation of the animal for consumption was questionable from the beginning.
yes and u dumb idiots can use interest based loans to buy houses and cars. trust me most these idiots living in western countries only talk about haram food while they wear tight jeans with no hijab and pay thousands of dollars in interest.
Your lord is most forgiving in this day an age it almost impossible to own animals and slaughter them without getting you fined jailed or run out of town Allah is most forgiving and Quran and Islam is that of a simple form and should be a simple easy way of living and not burden the people May Allah forgive us
What does doubt mean? It will be different from person to person. It’s not reasonable for everyone to identify every step in the supply chain to establish provenance. It’s on the butcher to ask the slaughterhouse their processes. It’s on the buyer to ask the butcher. Everything else is hardship. That said it is good to have organisations like HMC and HFA to drive standards across the industry.
Sheikh is usually strict compared to other scholars so I’m really surprised and dumbfounded abt his views on this issue. Allahu Alam. It is safer to eat meat which has been clearly certified as halal.
Not according to the prophet pbuh based on his sources my friend. It is not necessarily safer, you just say bismillah. What if the certificate is forged or the inspector is paid off by the big corporation? The truth is, you will never know unless you do it yourself. Even if you witness somebody saying Allah set name, if he doesn’t have proper niyaa, it may not be halal either. What if in his heart he is saying an idols name ? No the constitution protects you from the state making laws or forcing religion on you. It lets you practice your religion freely. God is mentioned in the constitution. Religious leaders are pictured on the supreme court of america. America is and has always been a country made up of many people who are deeply religious. Most people want to immigrate to the US cause they are free to practice their religion in peace. The constitution protects peoples rights given to them by God.
You miss the point. We just eat their food without investigating. Likewise, the US people usually identify themselves as Christians though they are kuffar just like Christians of Byzantine used to be at time of the Prophet, sallaLLahu alayhi wasallam. Firstly salam alaykum to all my brothers in sisters. Sheikh you are grossly wrong and I advise you to do more research concerning the guideline and laws regarding slaughter in the United States. I testify before Allah that the conventional method of slaughter in the US involves using a blow to the brain via nail gun as I have worked in a slaughterhouse before. There is only conventional slaughter and religious slaughter in the states and stunning is required by US law. ALL slaughterhouses that does not exercise religious slaughter uses a severe blow to the head of red meat. And poultry is killed via chemical gassing “A captive bolt stunning gun kills the animal and reduces it instantly unconscious without causing pain. A captive bolt gun has a steel bolt that is powered by either compressed air or a blank cartridge. The bolt is driven into the animal's brain. It has the same effect on the animal as a firearm with a live bullet. After the animal is shot the bolt retracts and is reset for the next animal. A captive bolt gun is safer than a firearm.” Recommended Captive Bolt Stunning Techniques for Cattle “Some techniques, such as firearms or prolonged exposure to anoxic gas mixtures, are considered to be stun-kill methods. But "uses a serve blow" and the first quotation you have given us, are they dead when this method is used or not, as that is not being mentioned by you. You give us the quotation but it doesn't say that the animal is dead or not. Even "some techniques" is very vague and not all animals are dead. Pork however they do that, like here in the EU, they for sure kill pork. But on other animals they just stunn it but it is not dead, the hearth is still beating. Sheikh said about Belgium, but this not true and in sha allah the Admin will tell him that what he said about them being dead, is not true and they also use the technique of stunning but the hearth is still beating. The full version of the Hadith of not asking and just saying Bismillah can be searched up and seen - that meat had come from *Muslims* . The Prophet (S) was teaching the Sahaba not to interrogate their fellow Muslims *without a valid reason*. *However when there IS a valid reason, he taught us to not eat it. Example - a Halal animal caught by a hunting dog is allowed for us if we say Bismillah on the dog - it qualifies as a correct slaughter in the Name of Allah. But what if you sent out your dog and he returned, not just with a bird in his mouth, but also another dog by his side? The Prophet (S) taught that we can **_not_** eat that bird now, because we don't know which dog actually caught it. Was it our dog, on whom we took the Name of Allah? Or that other dog, on whom we did not? So since we don't know if the name of Allah applies to that bird and can't interrogate a dog*, we just *don't* eat it. Sa'd Ibn Abi Waqqas (R) was one of the ten companions promised Paradise in their lifetime, his prayers were always answered, so he was asked - how come from all the companions, your prayers are always answered? He replied that he has never eaten a bite of food without *confirming* its Halal source. And why did he do this? Because the Prophet (S) taught him! You can search this up yourself. Ali (R), one of the *Rightly* Guided khulafaa, commanded the Muslims to stop eating from the Christians of Banu Taghlib because it had become apparent they were not following the rules of slaughter so there was a *valid reason* now to interrogate where the meat came from... because if it was from Banu Taghlib, it had to be avoided. There is nothing complicated about this. You would interrogate and research before putting your money in some investment. This is food in our own bodies! And it's so easy to check! Just ask the supplier! Find their number and give them a call, or just check for a properly verified Halal certificate. What's so complicated about that?! Let's be honest - maybe we're just lazy and not actually worried about earning Allah’s pleasure and Jannah. In Surah al-An'aam, Allah says if we are to follow people who argue about eating animals not slaughtered with the Name of Allah, we become Mushriks. With due respect to Sh Assim, he would be right 40 years ago, not today. He said himself that he hasn't been to the US in 40 years. He's not updated about it and the scholars he's quoting from have passed away a long time ago and they were giving fatawa about the state of the West decades ago. If surveys today show that about half or even more than half the people of a country declare themselves non-Christian, what more proof do we need that the country is not Christian? And what benefit do we get from pretending they still are, when they tell us they're not? And again - even if they were - so what? Ali (R) - one of the *RIGHTLY* guided Caliphs - prohibited meat from Christians when it became evident they don't slaughter properly. Has it not become evident these countries don't slaughter properly when they openly announce their un-Islamic slaughter policies in public interviews? We don't even need to ask - they're telling us themselves that (1) they're not Christian and (2) their methods are unIslamic and they do not take the Name of Allah. What other proof do you need?
It’s best to avoid but you’re generalizing the entire west with the U.S For example majority of the U.S say they are Christian, especially the south and the Bible Belt. Chickens aren’t electrocuted to death in a lot of slaughterhouses in America. They stun them unconscious and then kill them by cutting their head with a blade. Thereby remaining halal Whereas some place like the U.K is still majority Christian but it’s less then 50% all together. I don’t even eat from a lot of these fast food joints but saying it’s Haram is going too far without certainty (could be lying in this case) Another point is that the scholars fatwa’s are general in America’s case specifically as it still very much applies. But again, the better decision is probably to avoid.
No it is NOT that simple or we would not be having this discussion. One example: Game killed by dog died without being slaughtered. So slaughtering is not a must then??
@@eleghari Game killed by dog *on which the Name of Allah* has been taken is Halal. Dogs are instinctively designed to go for the jugular vein when they hunt their prey, which is the same requirement Allah placed on humans when we slaughter. Because attacking the jugular vein is what causes the maximum amount of blood loss in the least amount of time, and this is required in order to minimize the growth of infections. Dogs already do that instinctively. So the requirement of slaughter is in fact fulfilled when dogs do it. But only if the Name of Allah is taken on that dog. If you let out a dog to hunt a bird and it comes back with the dog-slaughtered bird + another dog, you can't eat the bird because you don't know which dog actually hunted it. Many things are very simple, and only complicated in our minds by (a) lack of knowledge and/or (b) habit/want of convenience. Reminding ourselves that this life is a test of our faith helps in shaa Allah. I would suggest you dua to Allah with sincerity to clarify the truth of the matter to you. Also, see the scientific evidence of difference between Haram and Halal meat. Might help you realize none of this stuff is arbitrary. People who're experienced can actually tell the difference between Halal and non-Halal meat just by its raw color. One research experiment showed that in Halal meat, the amount of infection-causing coliforms, salmonella and e. coli was 0, 0, and 0, compared to otherwise identical non-Halal meat that had 1500,000, and 233000, and 150000 colony-forming units per gram of the same bacteria. In this experiment, the only difference between the Halal meat and non-Halal meat was that one had the Name of Allah pronounced over it, and the other didn't. Everything else in the slaughtering process was the same, including going for the jugular vein. Allah is indeed the Most Loving and His instructions are indeed the best for us.
Surah TAHA AAYAH 81 Allaah says: say, “Eat from the good things We have provided for you, but do not transgress in them, or My wrath will befall you. And whoever My wrath befalls is certainly doomed.

Don't do it my brothers and sisters! I'm an American born Muslim Alhamdulillah, and i can say with great confidence that the meat in the USA is 100% HARAM, plus the conditions the animals live in is also haram, not to add how much shots and vaccines the animals in America get. My American parents who converted to Islam in their 20's Alhamdulillah, and always kept away from the meat in the USA, and now reports we see exactly how contaminated it's meat was, very few countries will even import meat from USA.🤢 Eat Halal or glatt kosher. Trader Joes in the USA always carries glatt kosher meat which is a great and safer alternative to Halal meats. And Allah knows best.
The problem is "The West" contains whole of Europe. And almost all major european countries have no statereligion. And a Question: Lets say you know that the possibility of the mest being slaughtered in a eatible way is at 5%, would you still eat it? (genuine quesion)

It’s mentioned 3 times in the Qur’an, not to eat meat over which Allah’s name has not been mentioned at the time of sacrifice. So tell me, where is the room for interpretation?
At the end of the day, you are what you eat. Food has a large role in our overall personality. If you don’t do some research into where your food comes from; you could be eating meat that was dead before slaughtering or from an animal that was abused before slaughtering. Allah is The Most Wise, when animals are abused or terrified before slaughtering their “fight or flight” hormones increase & high cortisol levels increase & when you consume those animals you adopt these hormones which have a big role on your own personality.

Guaranteed that they say that it isn't halal because it wasn't slaughtered in an Islamic way. Kosher is not slaughtered the Islamic way, but is still halal to eat. The problem here is their use of the word halal and our understanding of it. For sure they think if, without any context, you say the word halal, they think you are speaking about food.
Yes clear it is not Halal. Plenty of Halal options available elsewhere. If you are struggling with Halal options then you are allowed Kosher. If Halal and Kosher not available then if you are starving then go for vegetarian options. You dont have to eat meat from MacDonalds or KFC.

We all know from McDonald’s and other restaurants website that animals are electrocuted.it’s not secret.

Such a wrong answer from the sheikh on this. He is misguiding so many with his position on this. He should repent and take this video down. The vast majority of the people in the West are NOT christian, not even nominally Christian. And it is a preposterous argument that if you can't verify the status of meat in a Muslim majority country, then that somehow makes meat in the West halal. That is just so absurd. What is preventing the sheikh from verifying that the meat is halal in a Muslim country AND also verifying it in a Western country? Two wrongs make a right???
Barrakallahu feek Shaykh Assim. According to 2021 data only 46% of England and Wales identified as Christian. Therefore Anglican clergy claimed that Britain is can no longer be considered to be a Christian nation. Islamic scholars of Saudi Arabia may need to re-evaluate the situation of the West.
Back to basics. That the stats show this does not take a way the basic principle that eating their food is halal unless preceeded by certainty and not soke stats thats cold still br reviewed soonest and as it stands its still not up to 50% if one is to rely on it. So it's simple as the shaykh has explained. If someone goes to Mcdonald or any other place, they can't be told they are doing haram, if you wnat to stick to thise that are clearly halal, good.
@taalib_102 Allah has allowed us to eat food of the PEOPLE OF THE BOOK. (Surah Al Maida V5). Sheikh Asim al Hakim used a hadith, Sahabas asked the Prophet (Peace be upon him) that there are people who send us meat and we do not know if the name of Allah has been mentioned. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) told them to recite Bismillah and eat. Sheikh emphasised the point that the Prophet could have asked them to investigate it but he didn't. The Sheikh forgot to mention a crucial point. The people that Sahabas were referring to were NEW MUSLIMS. The assumption is that they must have recited the tasmiyah before slaughtering and Sahabas shouldn't have baseless doubt. It is a common practice of the Muslims to recite Bismillah before eating or conducting any halal activities. He also used another Hadith where a Jewish woman gave meat to the Prophet and he ate it without any questions. The reason the Prophet (Peace be upon him) didn't question was that the Prophet knew she was a Jew so part of the People of the Book. The United States of America is neither a Christian nor a Jewish nation. It was founded strictly on secular notions and is very diverse. In fact, certain current practices of slaughter that render meat Harām are legal in America (death by electrocution, CAS stunning, etc…). There is no certainty that the individuals slaughtering animals are Christians or Jews. A significantly growing percentage of the populations are Atheists, Nominal Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc… The scholars have maintained unanimous consensus (ijmaa’) that even if Christians and Jews deviate in their beliefs, they are still considered “People of the Book.” However, a large portion of Americans fall under the category of “nominal Christians” - those whom do not actually believe in God rather only have a Christian name. These individuals are not considered “People of the Book” and hence, their slaughter will be Harām as well. Due to the strong uncertainty of the mere slaughtered being a true Christian or Jew, there remains no doubt that such meat will be rendered impermissible based on this notion. At-Tirmidhi (2442), Ahmad (1630) and Ibn Hibbaan (722) from al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I memorized from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): “Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt, for truth leads to reassurance and lies lead to uncertainty.” May Allah guide us and keep us in the right path.
@@abulchowdhury4082 "Due to the strong uncertainty of the mere slaughtered being a true Christian or Jew, there remains no doubt that such meat will be rendered impermissible based on this notion." The paragraph above means that you did not get the explanation of the shaykh. You still have no certainty that all the christians and jews are not true christians and true jews in the west and America in particular as in your write up. As long as the doubt is there, you still cannot generalize and then arrive at the ruling that it is Haram to eat meat slaughtered by them. "The scholars have maintained unanimous consensus (ijmaa’) that even if Christians and Jews deviate in their beliefs, they are still considered “People of the Book.” " => This paragraph alone appears to be a proof against everything else you said below it. like the next sentence below.. However, a large portion of Americans fall under the category of “nominal Christians” => Again, how do you know for sure they are "nominal christians"? what the scholars said in your statement implies generalism(all christians and jews) but you have brought exceptions(“nominal Christians” and I guess "nominal jews" too). Where is the proof for this exception? Making something haram is something serious and cannot be based on anything except from certainty. Also you wrote this long detail without citing any Scholar of the sunnah that has the same thought process and arrived at the same conclusion as you did. Shaykh Asim at least explained a thought process and also referred to a well known Scholar of the sunnah. May Allaah guide us.

Did sheikh Assim or sheikh Uthaymin get their information from primary or secondary sources? This is really a serious issue so it is really worth going discussing it with other scholars from different countries who also live in these western countries. I live in Australia and it worries me when I see the young Muslims going into MacDonalds and the like ordering meat burgers, or eating at outlets where they say they serve halal meat but at the same time they also serve pork. They probably get all the meat from the same butcher. Their understanding is as long as it is not pork, then the beef or lamb are halal to the Muslims. Shouldn’t we don’t question them where they get their meat - from the halal or non halal butcher? I hv been following Sheikh Assim’s videos for a long time and you can say I am one of his fans but on this issue, I just feel really uncomfortable to accept his views. I do watch/ listen to other scholars too as a way of counter checking the different opinions. No scholars are correct 100% all the time, only Allah swt is. There are other scholars that made mistakes too at times due to lack of information or misinformation they received before they give their views, that’s ok because it is human to err. As Muslims, aint we encouraged to help each other in good deeds? May Allah swt forgive me if my posts hv given you or the sheikh the wrong idea abt my real intention or concerns.
In the outskirts of Medina, some Muslim Bedouins would slaughter animals and bring the meat to sell in Medina. Some people doubted whether these Bedouins, who were unfamiliar with shariah , would say "Bismillah" (In the name of Allah) or not when slaughtering the animals. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "You say Bismillah and eat," meaning don't not take such doubt into consideration because it was merely a whisper (a waswasa). Even Imam Bukhari narrated the hadith in the "chapter regarding the waswasa". Since we have not witnessed them slaughtering without saying "Bismillah" and they are Muslims, we will not declare the meat forbidden based on mere doubt. this is the explanation, I think they were muslims and so SAW did not ask to inquire, this hadis doesnt explicitly say if they were non muslims, moreover at that time Christians Jews used to take name of Allah before slaughtering, unlike today where most declare themselves as Atheist. I am not fully satisfied with Sheikh's explanation. Allahu Alam even check this video ruclips.net/video/yarToFbAaM4/видео.html

There were increases in the number of people who described themselves as “Muslim” (3.9 million, 6.5% in 2021, up from 2.7 million, 4.9% in 2011) and “Hindu” (1.0 million, 1.7% in 2021, up from 818,000, 1.5% in 2011). here's the difference between a Muslim fooling you about halal food, or being careless about it, and a non-Muslim doing so: the Muslim has an obligation of truth towards his Muslim brother. On the Day of Judgement, if he has fooled you in any way, he will have to compensate you for it and may also face punishment from Allah (swt). The Kaafir has no obligation towards you; he is already going to Hell. That's why it it better to choose to eat from a Muslim rather than a Kaafir, even though both might be giving you haraam or doubtful food.
This has nothing to do with what the other person is doing. You have totally misunderstood and made up your own logic. It's all about what Allah has made permissible and you and I am no one to make something Haram that Allah has made Halal.
The problem is 99% of the restaurant they cook the beef or chicken on the same grill as the pork so all the oil and the grease from the pork transferred to the beef and chicken, be careful, my brothers and sister.
Issue isn't about Christian or not. Method of slaughter now practiced by Christians is mechanical and robotic slaughter versus what was with hands in time of Prophet ﷺ And Secondly Hadith to say Bismillah before eating was when Prophet ﷺ was asked about meat that was sent by newly Muslim tribes who may not know slaughter properly. Please reconsider your permission to eat from modern Christians who don't even slaughter with hand rather let machine do the slaughtering. The hadith Sheikh is referring to I believe, did also say that the people who provided the meat just embraced islam ( as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari) Narrated by 'Aisha A group of people said to the Prophet, "Some people bring us meat and we do not know whether they have mentioned Allah's Name or not on slaughtering the animal." He said, "Mention Allah's Name on it and eat." Those people had embraced Islam recently. Truth brings peace of mind and falsehood sows doubt. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive us our sins and guide us Ameen
The answer is in the video from 3:40 to 5:15 The Christian faith was already totally changed into trinity dogma (which happened between 3rd and 4th century) so in the time of the Prophet (swas) he didn't ask christians on who's name they slaughtered.. the conditions are met the moment they are Christian believers and they slaughtered the animal. It is also permissible in the case for Jewish people as well and their kocher meat.
And we also know that Christians today slaughter their animals like an Atheist would do so where is the difference? At least the Jews do it in a kocher way.

In malaysia quite recently the import meat company getting caught using kangaroo or other meat that non halal that has a sticker of halal. As sheikh said, its not easy to control the source to be really sure if they mentioned the name of Allah..
10 slaughterhouses had dead meat but because a person was incapable of visiting 1000 others, we declare that it might be halal? Shouldnt the logic be other way around? we visit 1000 that are halal, 10 are haram, we dont know where meat went, so we stay on the side of caution and dont consume unless we are certain that it came from a halal slaughterhouse. A person asked: “O Rasûl of Allâh! What is sin? (How can I understand whether the doubtful are sinful or not?)” Rasûlullâh Sallallâhu Alayhi Wa Sallam answered: “When you feel uncertain about something (whether it is Halal or Haram) avoid it (because it is sinful). This matter is explained in another Hadith al-Sharif as follows: “Abandon that which causes in you doubt (concerning whether it is good or evil in Deen, Halal or Haram) and take that which does not cause in you doubt (that which are certain it is beneficial, good and Halal).” American is nor a christian country, its secular. Christians don't know their laws otherwise they wouldn't be consuming portk or calling Isa (as) a God (auzu billah). Majority of people in America are not christian. They are atheists, budhists, hindus, etc. 1. There is no guarantee that animal was still alive when it was slaughtered 2. We do not know if person slaughtering it was a jew, christian, atheist, hindu, muslim 3. Laws of USA are not christian laws, there is nothing in their laws that would forbid someone from slaughtering an animal in a name of sth else. This idea of "I dont know if sth is permissible so I will just accept that it is" or "I dont know how its done and I wont bother to find out" is driven by nafs. It can lead so many astray! Please, for the sake of your akhirat be cautious about this! There are so many halal options now, even costco sells halal meat, what are the difficulties we are talking about in the west these days? Eat fish, eat vegetarian food. No one is starving to death without meat in the west. Forget all this, do you know how much pork is cooked at mcDonalds? Who can guarantee that there was no cross contamination even if you decide that beef is somehow halal
In fact it can be guaranteed there is cross contamination at places like McDonalds! Also pizza places...they have beef and ham and pepperoni, and veggies etc. sitting next to each other and the same hands preparing all the pizzas. Here the cross contamination takes place before baking and after baking (same cutter) so ordering a veggie or cheese pizza is guaranteed to be cross contaminated...
It's funny when people ask this cause they want something to have a "halal" label and even then they technically have no insurance that it is in deed halal. The sheikh is right people just love to make things difficult for themselves....
If it says its halal but its not slaughtered in halal way then its not the fault of the consumer and no sin on him. If America was really christian and they dont mention the name of Allah or mention other gods then it would still be halal for the consumer. However, the default should be that it is not halal because America is no longer Christian, they are largely liberals and atheists.

Barakallahu feek sheikh! May Allah reward you, preserve you, and forgive you. I don't really see where the constitution says the president must be a Christian. Rather, the US Constitution states in Article VI, Clause 3: "No religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." This was just to respectfully correct that point. Also worth mentioning the 1st Amendment to the constitution, which became known as the doctrine of the separation of church and state. Now it's believed that the "founding fathers" did that to keep religious freedoms but also to make it difficult for kingship to happen in America like was custom in the land they fled. So it's not that they themselves were atheists. That being said each state has their own constitution and ALL of them mention God at lease one time. I'm not refuting anything the sheikh said, just bringing up a few things about the constitution which I've been taught. May Allah forgive me for anything I may have said that was incorrect.
The Constitution also clearly states that the country was not founded on Christianity. A crucial point that Shaykh continues to omit. Kind of shows his ignorance to be honest and why his opinion on this matter should not be taken serious.

All the doubts in the comments have already been answered. The people are repeating the same questions, they literally ignored the 2 Hadiths like it doesn't exist.
@@casilasgoaler the context of the hadith if it was translated correctly doesn't quite seem like it is being applied correctly by the Sheikh. He mentioned if someone brings you food. That is ifferent from you going out to get food for yourself. If someone brings you, they probably know you are muslim so you give the benefit of the doubt that they respect your halal requiements. If you go out to get food, you are going to have choices. you can buy fresh fish or eggs and cook it yourself, buy vegetables and make soups and salads, search for muslims shops etc. and if you go to a restaurant you will se the menu and so will know what is happening in that kitchen e.g. if they have pork, bacon, alcohol etc on the menu then you know that kitchen is going to be contaminated as they will use that same knives and spoons to prepare your food and may even fry your fish in wine etc. so you cannot pretend to be ignorant and just say bismillah because you have many options.

This ensures that individuals of any religious belief or those with no religious affiliation can hold the office of the President. Sheikh info is a little outdated

This Sheikh is extremely naive on this issue - I would imagine since he doesn't live in the West. There is unanimous consensus amongst scholars in the West that meat in the west is by default haram. You don't need to be a scholar to recognise this. There is a 110% chance the name of Allah is not mentioned. There is a 110% chance the butcher is not a muslim, in fact in most cases, there is no butcher, it's automatically killed. Even if there was a 'Christian' who slaughtered the meat, guess what; they believe Jesus is God!!!

@christopherCircelli which country do you live in right now?
Yes Christians and Jews are referred to as "People of the Book"in the Quran because their prophets were sent books. Moses(peacw be upon him) got the Torah and Jesus (pbuh) got the Injeel/Gospel
Agreed 💯
He dismantles the entire concept of halal certification to cover for 1 saudi ruler who was caught eating haram food.
that's he's a Sheikh and you're just a nobody.
The Sausage McMuffin pork patties are cooked on the same hot plates as the burger patties.
I don't know how McDonald's can be halal.
If you're 100% sure, don't eat, otherwise doubts don't empower truth and the norm.
I think meat from McDonalds is definetly haram not because of the slaugthering but because they cook the pork meat and other meats on the same grill.

You are missing the point my brother
Learn from the story of Al-Baqarah
It is not blatant ignorance
The certificate is a regulation and a means but the regulations itself is not wajib, just a means to reach it.
@creditiscomplicated-sm3mh Sounds like a cop out to me. Just like the Christians say in their religion "ignorance is bliss"
@creditiscomplicated-sm3mh Salah has many formula and legalities, and just like everything else, rules form part of our Deen.
@creditiscomplicated-sm3mh Narrated An-Nu`man bin Bashir:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said "Both legal and illegal things are obvious, and in between them are (suspicious) doubtful matters.
@@YousefA5 they still machine slaughter them in England.

NO ! The Hadith stating that you can just say Bismillah over meat that you don't know if it's correctly slaughtered or not IS REFERRING TO EMERGENCY SITUATION WHERE there's nothing left to eat and the people who gave it can't be traced.
Second, PEOPLE OF THE BOOK means those who ONLY WORSHIP ALLAH (GOD), NOT TRINITY OR OTHER MEANS
Third, Therefore It's HARAAM to consume if there's no mentioning of ONLY ALLAH'S Name for any slaughtering because That's what required in ISLAM and of THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK.
Subhanallah the more life gets easy the more it gets complicated, it is up to a individual to make the right choices .back in the late fifties we were growing up in Britain in the area where we lived there wereno halaal meat so for 10 or s0 years the only protein dish that our mum cooked was tinned salmon or eggs the rest was veggies and lentils and chickpeas.
I have a similar experience in life. I think it was the Pakistani/Indian/ Bengali muslims that were this way.

@@STEPIQUE wow what a talented guy came here 😆 to give us knowledge
I was always taught, when in doubt about whether a food is allowed or not according to the religion, it is best to leave it. No investigation needed, used ones own judgement. As we all know the butcher on the farm can be of any faith or without faith at all, so why the need to go any further to question the state of halal or haram meat. The preparation of the animal for consumption was questionable from the beginning.
That is applicable for you…as warak, but you should never ask others to follow that
Then your practice is against the hadith of Rasullulah as Sheikh explained

What does doubt mean? It will be different from person to person. It’s not reasonable for everyone to identify every step in the supply chain to establish provenance. It’s on the butcher to ask the slaughterhouse their processes. It’s on the buyer to ask the butcher. Everything else is hardship. That said it is good to have organisations like HMC and HFA to drive standards across the industry.

It is safer to eat meat which has been clearly certified as halal.
Not according to the prophet pbuh based on his sources my friend. It is not necessarily safer, you just say bismillah.
And poultry is killed via chemical gassing
“A captive bolt stunning gun kills the animal and reduces it instantly unconscious without causing pain. A captive bolt gun has a steel bolt that is powered by either compressed air or a blank cartridge. The bolt is driven into the animal's brain. It has the same effect on the animal as a firearm with a live bullet. After the animal is shot the bolt retracts and is reset for the next animal. A captive bolt gun is safer than a firearm.”
Recommended Captive Bolt Stunning Techniques for Cattle
“Some techniques, such as firearms or prolonged exposure to anoxic gas mixtures, are considered to be stun-kill methods. That is, they cause unconsciousness and lead to death without an additional action being taken.”
Stunning and killing - Humane Slaughter Association
III. ACCEPTABLE METHODS OF SLAUGHTER
Under § 1902(a) , livestock animals (cattle, calves, horses, mules, sheep, swine, and goats) must be “rendered insensible to pain... before being shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut.” The animal may be made unconscious of pain “by a single blow or gunshot or an electrical, chemical or other means that is rapid and effective.” HMSA § 1902(a) .

What other proof do you need?
.
It’s best to avoid but you’re generalizing the entire west with the U.S
For example majority of the U.S say they are Christian, especially the south and the Bible Belt.
Chickens aren’t electrocuted to death in a lot of slaughterhouses in America. They stun them unconscious and then kill them by cutting their head with a blade. Thereby remaining halal
Whereas some place like the U.K is still majority Christian but it’s less then 50% all together.
I don’t even eat from a lot of these fast food joints but saying it’s Haram is going too far without certainty (could be lying in this case)
Another point is that the scholars fatwa’s are general in America’s case specifically as it still very much applies.
But again, the better decision is probably to avoid.
Agreed, even if they are Christians, I highly doubt they slaughter their animals mentioning Allah's name, who are we kidding.
No, the U.S. Constitution does not require the President to be Christian or adhere to any particular religion. Article VI, Clause 3 of the Constitution explicitly states that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

Additionally, just because electrocution is used to stun, surely this is not acceptable? Not all the animals survive this process.

At-Tirmidhi (2442), Ahmad (1630) and Ibn Hibbaan (722) from al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I memorized from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): “Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt, for truth leads to reassurance and lies lead to uncertainty.”
May Allah guide us and keep us in the right path.

"Due to the strong uncertainty of the mere slaughtered being a true Christian or Jew, there remains no doubt that such meat will be rendered impermissible based on this notion."
The paragraph above means that you did not get the explanation of the shaykh.

This is true, but countries like Poland, Eritrea, Russia and the US are different.
here's the difference between a Muslim fooling you about halal food, or being careless about it, and a non-Muslim doing so: the Muslim has an obligation of truth towards his Muslim brother.

Issue isn't about Christian or not. Method of slaughter now practiced by Christians is mechanical and robotic slaughter versus what was with hands in time of Prophet ﷺ
And Secondly Hadith to say Bismillah before eating was when Prophet ﷺ was asked about meat that was sent by newly Muslim tribes who may not know slaughter properly.
Please reconsider your permission to eat from modern Christians who don't even slaughter with hand rather let machine do the slaughtering. Quran says to eat slaughter of people of book but not of machine

This matter is explained in another Hadith al-Sharif as follows: “Abandon that which causes in you doubt (concerning whether it is good or evil in Deen, Halal or Haram) and take that which does not cause in you doubt (that which are certain it is beneficial, good and Halal).”
American is nor a christian country, its secular. Christians don't know their laws otherwise they wouldn't be consuming portk or calling Isa (as) a God (auzu billah). Majority of people in America are not christian. They are atheists, budhists, hindus, etc.
1. There is no guarantee that animal was still alive when it was slaughtered
2. We do not know if person slaughtering it was a jew, christian, atheist, hindu, muslim

You don't need to Investigate more if it says halal then it's halal inshallah.
If it says its halal but its not slaughtered in halal way then its not the fault of the consumer and no sin on him. If America was really christian and they dont mention the name of Allah or mention other gods then it would still be halal for the consumer. However, the default should be that it is not halal because America is no longer Christian, they are largely liberals and atheists.

true, this opinion also might have something to do with all the muslims with OCD that the sheikh encounters, this level of pedantry and obsession isn't healthy for a muslim, there are much more important things to worry about.
@@rashidnassermartinez646 not ‘OCD’…. it’s clear that pig’s intestines bacon is served in mcdonald’s…. of cos muslims scared of food contamination… is eating swine haram or permissible… 🙃🙃🙃
Islam is about making things simple and straightforward. As some people said here, we should worry about the more serious stuff like keeping our prayers and avoiding riba and zina other grave sins. Shaytane wants you to worry about the small stuff so you can start thinking life is too difficult and eventually grow to resent the religion.
Eating haram meat is a major sin.
Please don't belittle the effort of consuming "halal" for the sake of Allah, there is nothing small about eating haram food.
@@observer-2LC This is the excuse of liberal/progressive Muslims. "Islam is to make our lifes easy, not hard" If Islam was to make our life so easy that we would have no obligations and that the obligations don't matter, we wouldn't have to pray 5 times a day.
We have our own halal certifying agencies run by knowledgeable people in England, in the US, and in Canada. Also in most European countries. So why do they not say we can eat macdonalds and Burger King?

the 1st matter i would ask, in the case of prophets and the sahabi’s the meat was offered to them NOT them looking for the meat/food. This aspect should be clarified clearly.
The other question is, is the people of the book today is the same people of the book in the past during the life of prophet.

He said : “Speak Bismillah about it yourself and eat it.” Aisha (rahiyAllahu anha), who narrated the hadith, said: “They had only recently become Muslims.”
Yeah..this is why I was reluctant to post my comment.
I free myself from any comments that are in any way disrespectful to this beloved sheikh who has benefited me and countless others immensely.

Among 4 sect of اهل سنه which Emam said that the meat sloutered by مشرکین ؛، کافران is Halal?

Sheikh I love you for the sake of Allah and I have benefited so much watching your lectures. But none of us are infallible. Regarding this issue, I am willing to take the opinion of sheikh Uthman ibn Farooq and would not recommend eating meat at the restaurants in the west. Allah knows the best.
shaikh needs to make another 15 minute video replying to these comments
All the doubts in the comments have already been answered. The people are repeating the same questions, they literally ignored the 2 Hadiths like it doesn't exist.
the hadith is not extreme enough for these people..
May Allah save us from doing to Islam what the Jews and Christians did to their religions. They use thinking like this to make everything allowed
The Saudi 🇸🇦 government has allegedly invested in McDonald's and other western fast food companies 😐 🙄 So they instructed their imams like this person to issue favourable fatwas to them
The Christians don’t even slaughter it, it’s machines that do it. This is what happens when you put a sheikh on a pedestal and don’t ask them to actually research thinks but just be a celebrity and answers anything and everything.
Sheikh Fawzanw from Saudi actually explained this issue greatly because he actually researched it.
Shaykh Fawzan is an actual scholar, there is no comparison. Shaykh Asim is a da'ee he usually gives good scholarly opinions, dunno why he is not being straightforward. Clearly American big companies are not Christians, America is no longer Christian and the Christians of America are largely liberal christians who mostly dont know anything about Christianity.
There is hallal food available everywhere in USA and most western countries even a lot of hallal restaurants, why we need to eat at McDonald’s.
exactly, finding halal meat is not that hard, so stop with this over simplying thing.
@3:48
The hadith was not quoted 100% correct. It wasn't a "group of people" that asked the question but it was rather mother Aisha R.A that asked the Prophet P.B.U.H when they received meat at their home.
The Saudi 🇸🇦 government has allegedly invested in McDonald's and other western fast food companies 😐 🙄 So they instructed their imams like this person to issue favourable fatwas to them
The shaikh he quoted, In Ethemein, died in 2001 (born in 1929- died 2001) may Allah's mercy be upon him and he didn't witness what we witness. I also don't think he knew how the electric shock killing is a thing there. He is really a very respectful Shaikh
There is so much doubt in the killing method I find it absurd that we are still trying to defend eating this meat.
Mashallah SHIEKH - I 100 % agree with you
I refuse to eat meat thats not halal. And thats between me and Allah.
I asked chat, GPT, and this is what it said:
No, it does not. The United States Constitution explicitly prohibits any religious test or requirement for holding public office, including the presidency. Article VI, Clause 3 of the Constitution states that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." This ensures that individuals of any religious belief or those with no religious affiliation can hold the office of the President.

The main thing that Sheikh didn't mention is that Allah himself says that He doesn't wish to put a burden on us (2:286), and if you can't find halal meat but you need meat out of necessity then Allah always forgives you (6:119, 6:145, 16:115)
He lived in the west before. In netherlands or belgium. So one shouldnt speak on behalf of someone.
And, about your last phrase. Were they believing the Jesus was their prophet at the time of our Prophet (p.b.u.h.)? Allah differentiated their and Jews' shirk from other people.
You know, there is a lot Muslims working in butcher factories and a lot of meat is fro Australia
Make things easy in Islam, take the concession if given by Allah.
Sheikh needs to be careful with his fatwa, we the Muslims in US strive to keep our diet clean, and now apparently we can just go eat any meat from any where because it is a Christian country and these people are so called the "people from the book?" - wow.
This is how your Imani is if you’re gonna tell people will be confused, please don’t confuse people just tell them if you’re not sure about it don’t eat
If this confuses you, I think you should relearn English. It's as straightforward as it could be.
There is very little halal being practiced today.
