    Use bees wax with the edge slicker as it will also seal the leather and help to make it water resistant.

    pretty impressed as you're the only other person besides myself, that I know, who has the guts (and brilliance) to use sandpaper to distress their work. Excellent work ma'am

      BF Peake you totally made me smile! IMO distressing always makes leather look better. Like a comfy leather couch and a good read. ❤️ Thanks so much for the comment!

    I am a leathercraft and would to know if this machine is good cutting 4-5zo leather for wallets and light weigh project. Watching your videos it does look good for leather,just want to make sure before spending alot of money on something I can't do.
    Thank you

      It get ya! It does a great job with cutting that weight leather with its knife tool. And it can cut super small holes in that weight as well. I think it could probably do stitch marks. Not sure about that though. You might also be interested in that it also has an engraving tool you can purchase that engraved leather really nicely. Thanks for your question! Let me know if you have any more. Jen

    Great work! What kind of paint did you use?

    • @WellCraftedStudio
      @WellCraftedStudio  2 года назад

      I used multi-surface craft paint from Michaels. I think I was using the Martha Stewart brand, but that was made by Plaid, and now there are other multi-surface craft paints at Michaels that I think are the same. There are lots of colors and they aren't too expensive.

    Great tutorials! Have you ever done text on leather cuffs using the same tool with the Cricut Maker? Would that work? Also, what are the names of the tools you used for the edge finishing?

    • @WellCraftedStudio
      @WellCraftedStudio  4 года назад +2

      Thanks for your comment!!! I have not tried text but I totally want to now! I don’t see why you couldn’t. I used an edging tool and a edge slicker. I have a blog post with links to the supplies if you’d like to see them. They are totally the secret sauce to making the edges look super nice!

      @@WellCraftedStudio thanks you so much. Very nice of you. I actually didn’t see email. Now I know. 6-7oz.
      I ordered a batch of scrap leather on Amazon. It was absolute crap. Threw most of it away. I guess I will just try another place. Thanks again.
