Blind Guardian!! the sacred monsters of metal!!!
They have a full animated video in the Sacred 2 game for their song 'Sacred Worlds'! The video is gloriously animated, feels like the game's whole budget went into that. Very wholesome band!
I've seen Blind Guardian in concert 4 times, 4 separate tours. They really are one of the best sounding live bands I have personally seen. They bring their own sound system, for one. Even if the clubs they play at have a sound system, that system is shoved to the side and Blind Guardian sets up their own.
I would put their live show up there with Iron Maiden's, no really!
So you like good live engagement. Then I would recommend to watch Blind Guardian's "Bard Song" & "Valhalla" live video (the one from WACkEN). Best live performance of the audience ^^

When you see/hear them live, you're not just there, you're a part of it and you contribute to the sound.
They are legends!
The kind of powermetal that makes me want to clean my whole house!
I saw them live once - back in 2002 I believe. It was amazing to me that, hearing them at a venue seating about 200, they performed with the same energy as when they'd play for a "proper" crowd. Really showed that they love their work. To this day, singing Nightfall with them there was the closest I've got to a religious experience.
I would love to see Hansi, Joakim (Sabaton) and Marko all on stage together. The power would be almost too much to take.

I love Hansi and Blind Guardian, as well as loving the song
However I just cannot with the editing of this specific video
The shots go so all over the place and there is such an incositency between the shots (I believe the footage is from two separate nights)
I really really wish there was a better edit of this performance out there for people to experience (or react to!)

You make great analyses of some of the most important aspects of music... Especially for an american 😁🍻 OK, the joke aside, but there's a huge gap in US of knowledge, speaking of the best bands in rock and metal, thought it was invented by you. May be the lack of classical music tradition there is the culprit. So, the two of these meet perfectly in Europe, so there's no wonder the best music ever is being made here 🤫 Next, if you wish to explore more deeply the German tradition, you may like to see Helloween's "Keeper Of The Seven Keys" ('88) from the United Alive tour (2017-2019) or some other of their songs...
All the later 'progressive' and symphonic/opera-ic Nightwish-es an so on have learned what to do from these guys - The big 6 of Power/Happy Metal: Iron Maiden, Manowar, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian and... Running Wild 😁
5 of them are from Europe, 4 - from Germany and 3 of them have much to do with Kai Hansen - the true godfather of the true Happy Metal...

In all of these, as about the guitars, songwriting and arrangements - most notably in Kai Hansen's works, studio and live, you'll hear everything best from all 'founding grandfathers' of Power Metal 😁 esp. from Ritchie Blackmore - you may also check Gamma Ray's covers of Uriah Heep's "Look At Yourself" and Rainbow's "Long Live Rock And Roll" ;)
About the singing - after hearing the abovementioned United Helloween w/Kiske, Deris and Hansen, and some early Gamma Ray w/ Ralf Scheepers, you can listen to the best of Kai's vocal times w/ the same band from 1994 to 2014 :) , incl. some early songs, sang by him this time, in the 2000 album "Blast From The Past"...
You should check out the videos they just released, "Blood of the Elves" and "Deliver US from Evil." Great reaction as always, enjoying your explanations and analysis. Stay safe, keep rocking.
