From the second Showcase Showdown segment of the 12/2/85 episode of The Price is Right. Anna comes off a win in Danger Price, David won a rocker in Any Number and Deborah could not find the secret X in her game.

Well, no suspense here. We know who wins this showdown...
It really is not a good idea for a college student to go on a game show, one where they win prizes as opposed to cash. You're probably only working part-time at a low wage job and therefore pay very little in taxes. A win of a vacation or car can put you into the next tax bracket; how realistic is it for one to be able to pay that amount in taxes?
David got that $1,000 to put into the bank with a chance to add a big showcase win.
I love how clean and bright the wheel looked in the mid 80s. Also how loose it was, it seemed it was tightened and tougher to spin in the 90s.
Not sure why it bothers me, but I HATE how Drew Carey now asks every single contestant if they want to say hi to someone. On one hand, it gives contestants a spotlight to say hi to people, but on the other, it always just comes off a bit much.
And sometimes they just take too long and extend the segment.
Robert just doesn't have anyone to say hello to ! 😆 🤣
