Great video! We're sailing on Star Princess's repositioning cruise in April 2026 - from Ft Lauderdale to Seattle for 20 days. I took into consideration what you said about EZ Air and have decided to take advantage of it. We've booked a mini-suite with the Premier Package so we are happy as clams! Upgrading to Sanctuary didn't seem worth it on a cruise like this one.
First comment I was on the Regal Princess in a guaranteed inside cabin with a non-refundable rate and had an absolutely great time. The quality of the MDR and buffet was such that we were tempted by the premium or other dining options. We enjoyed it more than many of our Celebrity and HAL cruises. Agree with most of your tips and will be returning to the Regal in March.
Great comment to break the ice on a new video, thanks for watching and commenting! Absolutely the non-refundable and guarantee cabins are a great way to save money as long as you understand what you are getting and are ok with it, which it sounds like you absolutely did. It used to be that people would take guarantees to try and get a cheap upgrade to an outside or balcony cabin, that's just not happening like it used to now. Have a great time on Regal this March, she's a lovely ship!
What he missed regarding the thermal suite is that the quality of the thermal suite differs from ship to ship. The newer the ship is, the nicer the thermal suite is. Enchanted, Discover, Sun and Sky Princess have the nicest thermal suites, and I love to spend time there... particularly in the morning and late in the day, when it's not as busy as it is in mid-afternoon.
Thanks for watching, "nice" didn't really factor into the money saving theme of the video, it was more about do you actually have time to use it properly considering the itinerary etc. I've used the suite in all the ones you mentioned but Discovery plus a few more. My favorite so far was actually on Majestic Princess, perhaps it was the cold Alaska weather we had, but that was well worth it for me on that sailing.
To be honest, I'm not 100% sure about that because I've never done it! What I do know is that you have to add it by the end of the second day. Thanks for watching, sorry I wasn't a little more on the ball there!
The price is the same on board and before your trip. I thought I bought the plus package on my last trip and purchased when I got on board. It was still $60 a day.
@kristenyoung2175 Contact me through the form listed in the description of the video, I may be able to help you out with Princess cruises depending on your location!
We are sailing on the sun princess in May of 2025. We pushed it out so they can work out all the kinks as well as some scheduling issues for the itinerary we wanted. We an extended balcony and premiere package at a fantastic price cause we booked far in advance. Good thing, that cruise sold out very quickly.
You are going to love Sun Princess, for a big ship it was easy to get around and there is lot of public space. I'll have a couple more videos coming out over the next few weeks. Still a few adjustments to come with the addition of the Sanctuary Collection in October, but I think you'll have the full package by then. Thanks for watching & subscribing!
You are correct and I'll amend that next time. However, if you are paying with a non-US dollar credit card (Canadian for instance), you would end up paying more on the ship than in advance with the conversion. Princess has a more favorable exchange rate when paying in your home currency on the website or when booking than most credit cards do when converting USD to CDN or GBP or EUR. There are certainly reasons to wait and buy onboard too, like if you get a deal that includes a big onboard credit, use that towards your package! Thanks for watching.
@joannelamar6389 No, it's $60 USD per day, Premier is $90 USD per day. www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages We have a full video on the changes that happened on August 15th, 2024. If you are from outside the US and Canada, I can't comment on what they charge.

Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
Great video! I definitely check my folio every day.
Absolutely and especially if you don't have Princess Plus / Premier! Thanks for watching and welcome back to the channel!
@@TidalHorizons Yes. I’ve been sailing with the Premier Option since Princess introduced it. That works best for me. Thanks!

Andrew, do you know if the price for the Princess Plus package goes up if you buy it onboard? Still not sure if we should buy it or not.🤔

Can you recommend a travel agent who specializes in Princess Cruises?

I've never once heard of Princess charging more to add Princess Plus or Princess Premium onboard, and I've been on nine cruises with Princess.
