I had one of these in xplane. Made by carenado. I swear it is exactly the same. I loved flying it. This one is amazing as well! I love it.
Great video Emi. Picked this up yesterday and have done 2 flights and agree with you, it's ahead of the Mustang at release. I live about 2nm south of KMLB so I see 100 and 300's flight testing overehead all the time. I had to get this one. Thank you again!
How do you like the sounds, are they similar to the real ones you hear overhead all the time?
Top tip - you actually can tell the G1000 your cruising altitude. Just set it on any waypoint within the flight plan (that’s not a STAR waypoint), and it will then calculate TOD. That was a great tip from Raul at FSReborn and I use it on the FSR500 🎉
Thanks for the info! I wonder if that's a "dirty trick" or if it's supposed to go like that by the dev.
@@A330Driver Unsure…but hey, who cares, it works 😂
And you can import the Simbrief flight plan into the G1000 catalogue
@@hytryn good call 👍🏽
Yes. When I get to the highest altitude, I just set the altitude to the approach level, engage vnav, and then I don’t have to think about altitude for the rest of the flight. The flightplan and vnav takes care of it.
Fun to see you flying around my home town. Actually just the other day I was down on the south side and saw a Phenom taking off from KBFI. But thought I'd give you some extra context to enjoy the location. Boeing Field was actually home to Boeing back in the day, and was Seattle's main airport from the 1920s to the 1960s, when SeaTac was built. Today it is home to our truly fantastic Museum of Flight (which is modeled in the pay ware scenery for the airport) which includes the original "Red Barn" where Boeing first started making airplanes. Because of the museum, you never know what you'll see coming and going there.
But, next time you want the real PNW Bizjet experience, you should try flying from KTIW (Tacoma Narrows) (with lovely scenery available from Orbx) which these days is the main bizjet hub for Seattle, since KBFI is now getting more and more crowded as a secondary passenger airport and a big hub for FedEx cargo flights. These days it seems pretty common for jet charters out of KTIW to fly over the mountains to a ranch or winery on the east side, or in the Okanogan in Canada. You should give it a shot sometime and enjoy our lovely Cascade mountains along the way.
I’ve been wanting to buy this but I’ve been waiting for your video!
Hope you liked the video! In my opinion it's definitely worth looking into. It's a great little aircraft.
FSR is doing the Phenom 300 and FSR is an amazing dev so I will wait for that one
Same. The 300 is more popular too.
I must admit its a really fun little plane. AUTO seems to be the motto for this aircraft clearly a decision by Embraer, I believe is single pilot operation approved so that reduces workload I suppose. Keeping the speed under control can be a challenge without speed brakes but just takes little thought. Have flown the PH300 in XP11 a lot so was interested in this. Its a pretty cute and fun plane similar to Honda Jet in many ways plus G1000 makes it easy to fly especially if you learn the G1000 on other planes. Handling seems reasonable but does suffer badly from the nose wheel issue that a lot of planes have, hopefully this be fixed in msfs2024. Nice addition to the sim when you want a relaxing flight without mountains of checklist items. Thx for video was fun, I remember reading article that said rear facing seats were safer but passengers wouldn't accept them so never happened in airliners.
Automation certainly is very important in small jets. They are often single pilot certified and those pilots are often low hour pilots who don't do many sectors a year. You want to give them the maximum assistance possible so that they are free to carry out their primary task of flying the aircraft.
Basically every operator I know of leaves everything in auto, its more realistic if the switches were there on aircraft load. Turn on your batteries, lights, and crank engines. Not sure if it is modelled, but in real life the beacon comes on automatically with either engine switch in auto or start. And you got IGN AB because you switched IGN to On instead of auto. If left in auto they should alternate channels A/B every start.
Make sure to tell the developers about your experience!
Hi! Great video! I've been learned a lot with yor contents! Please, make a video with your yoke calibration. I'm curious about the settings you use. Thanks from Brazil! 🙂
What i don't like about Cockspur is that their planes doesn't have modern soundsets. They still use the legacy FSX sound method, when you take a look into the sound folder. And that's the reason why their planes doesn't sound immersive.
The Phenom actually sounds like the real thing (from the outside at least). I used to handle a Phenom 100 at my work and the start up sounds just like the real thing.
the fsx sound mechanism is not used in msfs. It has been completely replaced. so, this is not true. And to be honest, most of us have no clue what the real thing REALLY sound like.
@@HellWithoutBorders I didn't said that she sound bad or not like the real thing. The plane would just sound much more refined and immersive if they would've used the new method with sound.xml and wwise. See it like that the old legacy way is stereo while the new modern way is atmos :)
@@pieterduplessis6906 No sorry but you can use the FSX sound mechanism. Asobo calls it legacy sound and they implemented the old mechanism partially for importing reasons. I know this because I've made a legacy soundset for the HPG H135 freeware helicopter. The reason why i used the legacy sound method was because i knew this way and had already made a H135 sound for P3D. That's why it was for me rather simple to port it over, and since HPG has also used legacy sounds.. so no brainer.
And like i said to the guy above already, i didn't said that the plane sounds bad or not realistic, she would just sound better with the new way. And to be honest a payware aircraft, doesn't matter how much it cost should always be a true MSFS aircraft, which uses native MSFS features and not legacy ones, because those could be with an update not supported anymore.
Not sure how accurate that is...
I have over 300 aircraft now in msfs, and their last aircraft...the Mustang, sounds better than any aircraft I have. Insane sound!
Watching a video from a professional is something else, damn ... Good video.
great video. Thank you so much.
😂 ha , you are very funny in this video , yes I would also accept a seat back flying view in a business jet if I was offered, and I would be happy to go to have a poo 💩 with such an amazing toilet view ! 🙈😂😂😂
So this if you want the G1000 or the Honda Jet if you want the G3000? That is pretty much the only difference I am seeing, bedsides the HJet autotnrotttle. Speeds look to be about the same.
Ah, you missed the toilet flush sound... didn't push that button :)) But hopefully the plane will receive also other necessary custom sounds.
The Phenom 100 and 300 both have terrible turning radius to begin with, so the tiller bug isn't helping lol
The test panel is on the right side. It took me a second to find it too lol.
Thanks!
Methinks volume higher outside and lower inside is the correct order of things, eh? Can't imagine them being either similar or inversed. Someone correct me, please.
Great video. 👏 Can you please explain the different throttle settings?
The speed tape indications, yellow and red tapes are not present.
I wonder if the stall warning and protection system (aural and pusher) are modeled?
Test panel is to the right of the copilot yoke
Thank you!
Am I the only one who noticed the phenomenal joke? 😂
You have convinced me to get this, lol.
20:12 Do you know if the SafeTaxi feature is exclusive to the PH100 or is it available on other WT G3000 / 1000 aircraft?
It's available on all aircraft using the Navigraph charts. I am using it on PMDGs Universal Flight Tablet as we speak.
@@A330Driver Thank you! After seeing
the OANS preview from the A380X I was left feeling a little sad, but it’s glad to see you can access a similar feature on Navigraph equipped aircraft.
@@A330DriverHi - sorry to bother again. I am trying to enable the SafeTaxi feature on the Hondajet, but the option is greyed out. Is the option not available? Or do I need to do something to un-grey the feature?
Thanks
I hope the bathroom has a fan.
I am not ready to buy it , it needs more work , and I heard a lot of people complaining about floating on landing , well this is something usual in MSFS , but even more floating , is a little bit too much. ! My opinion is that Cockspur should finish their work on Mustang first , before releasing an incomplete aircraft again ! Shane , but they are greedy to make more money ! 😢
The overhaul aircraft soundset is poor at the current time. They have at least simulated the onboard toilet flushing sound which is better than the engines (no joke try it)
Klasse Kanal...abonniert 😉
Vielen Dank 👍
What discord did you take the V speeds please ? Thank you !
The developers discord, you can find it with a quick google search (don't have discord at hand right now, sorry).
If I had a choice to buy the Learjet 35A or this Phenom 100, which one would you recommend?
That'll really come down to your personal preferences. Do you prefer the old school style of the Learjet or the modern style of the Phenom?
In other words: Glass cockpit or steam gauges? Buy the style you prefer cause I really can't say one would be better than the other.
Lear for sure
Hi, question how do you move around in the plane?
I use the default simulators "translate view" functions
Awesome scenery on the ground, what scenery is this please?
I guess it´s Boeing Field and Seattle Landmarks by Drzewiecki Design
Without the landmarks actually. And Portland is from FlightBeam.
NAVIGRAPH is kinda expensive.
Yet totally worth it!
Im a fan of PC24
boy I'd love a high fidelity PC24! Let's see what we're eventually going to get.
Is it better then cerrenados?
Sound need better sound pack
LOL. Cockspur is definitely one of the worst developers for the Sim. Their C510 only received ONE update since release and costs MORE than the Hondajet. 😂
Mmh, one update? I counted like 8 of them.
The Honda is like two years old now, prices go up over time, I don’t think the Phenom is overly expensive. Not much more expensive than the Honda either, isn’t it?
