I am a real world pilot and had the pleasure beta testing it. I can confirm this is an amazing program and the most realistic RAAS addon for any flight sim platform. Another thing that has to be noticed is that this program is getting a constant support from the developer.
@@maestro7332 as I said above. I am in the beta testing. I have seen a constant support which means the dev every time a reputable addon aircraft is released the vRAAS is updated to work with. So far.
"Auto-close with MSFS" That is actually a nice one, I wish some other addons had this option too. As for the plugin itself, it does look like a nice addition
You can create a batch file to run after you close MSFS that will automatically close all of your add-ons if you're interested. Here's how mine looks, replace the addons with yours and you're good. @echo off taskkill /IM "AS_FS.exe.exe" /F taskkill /IM "TrackIR5.exe" /F taskkill /IM "MapEnhancement.exe" /F taskkill /IM "LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS.exe" /F taskkill /IM "BeyondATC.exe" /F exit
Interesting App for sure will certainly consider it when out. It definitely has a lot of useful options which give extra value. Being from UK they clearly spelt Meter wrong 😅.
Yay, I am very happy to see competition for the FS2Crew version! That one is way too finicky and really sucks overall. I like how this one just knows what aircraft you are flying and automatically configures itself. I still regret buying the FS2Crew version because it is just so annoying to use.
Excellent video of what looks to be an excellent no-brainer product! Questions: 1) Why did we not hear the runway remaining call outs at the end? 2) Is there a way to dismiss/cancel the warnings? 3) Apart from iFly, are there any other addons that attempt to simulate RAAS in any way? I'm kind of surprised Fenix haven't attempted it....unless they have and I missed that feature? 4) What units are most commonly used in European airlines? You said metres, but in Europe everyone uses feet for altitude. What do they use for distance?
Hi, 1) I actually found a bug there haha Reported it to the dev and he fixed it already though. 2) No, there is not. The only way to exist the warnings is to leave the conditions causing it. 3) I am not aware of any. There is a competitor on the market with FS2Crew, but I think vRAAS is suprior in almost any way as it automatically downloads the data for the aircraft, doesn't need dedicated airport updates, etc. The distance is for the runway length, not for altitude. For runway length we use Meters here, not feet.
But is it accurate to real life? The sounds and the on screen messages? Also what I mean by that, can it be available on a 737ng or it’s just fictional?
RSAT is the Boeing version while RAAS is the Honeywell version that's available as a retrofit for . RSAT features a couple of extra features such as runway overrun warning during the landing roll while RAAS will only give you the distance remaining during the rollout. Can't compare it to the ToLiss yet as I haven't experimented with that feature yet.
@@A330Driver ah ok. Is RSAT available for the NG in RL? I’ve tested the TOS2 on Airbus and it’s pretty cool. If you need more information about it (not sure if your airline has it) just look up “Airbus take off surveillance” and they have a whole document about it.
Hi, depends on the plane. The 737 with a fail passive AP can do the touchdown until the nose wheel lands and then have to disconnect. On other types it's different. The A330 for example can take you all the way down to taxi speed.
They plan to integrate it ASAP with the A380 once ti is out. Hopefully on release date already, but no promises. It works fine on the Tech Alpha, if nothing changes it'll work out of the box.
Thanks! For some reasons RUclips does this since about a week when copy/pasting. Even when manually pasting it. I thought I had added them manually... but sitting in a German train on my way to the airport right now, a potatoe would have better internet so I guess it didn't save.

He's indeed a developer very open for suggestions. I gave him a couple as well after I got vRAAS and he immediately started implementing them.
What would “world pilot” exactly mean?

I want a version, where Emi's voice is implemented as an option. 😅
Great addition, can't wait to get it!
Wonderful addition. Many thanks for notifying.
Looks nice! I am looking forward to it!
Yup. That's what I call a really nice job. I didn't know devs could access ingame screens, that's a nice surprise
I will be buying as soon as it comes out. Thank you.
This looks and sounds great, I'll be buying it!
Nice to know about that. Added to the wish list.
I was seriously considering buying the fs2crew version. Glad I held off.

hahaha, when I started flying long haul the guys in the US always told me I misspelled my stuff as well :D
I was just looking at videos of FSCrews one and yours pops up. Definitely getting this one instead.
Next Saturday, so this Saturday, or Saturday in the next week? :)
The 2nd November
Who said there’s gonna be a Saturday next week? :)
I was sold when I saw it works with the Fenix
haha, I'll show it in action tomorrow!

strangely familiar callouts… i guess i am used to them from p3d/fsx and/or xplane. especially “long landing! long landing!” :D

Approaching runway 18. It looks like you've put on weight.
Is it possible to use the audio from vRAAS instead of the one from iFly?
So is it a one-time purchase, or a subscription?
one-time purchase
Exactly, it's a one time purchase at 13,99 excl VAT.
Awesome!
Can add website that we can have a look into it ?
The website is actually still WIP. Will add it once it's live.

Hi, my former operator had exactly this system. Most airlines do.

Yeah, but will it have the actual voice tone just like the real one. Which the fs2crew version never had.

do the callouts after the landing work? xxxx metres remaining?

Do (more or less) all airliners have RAAS equipped?
The vast majority of them, yes.
I only know very few that don’t have it. The benefit of the safety improvement is just too great to ignore.

Unfortunately it is not the real voice like FF did on their XP12 777V2. That’s actually a bad copy of the real voice.
Yes - as explained within the first minutes of the video. The voice-pack is unfinished, a “beta”… (Edit: now backed up by Emi himself…😅)
That's why I said in the beginning that the voice is work in progress and subject to change. They are working on it.
wheres the link to this addon
This addon for an addon culture needs to end for once.

Will it be available for Xbox ?

Hmmmm...XPlane has had a free RAAS plug-in for years providing both visual and audio data. Come on over to the dark side...
