During the 10th gen / Z3 solution you mentioned the change lever assembly would need to be swapped from an 06 to a 2007-2011. I was just googling that specifically "2006-2011 change lever assembly" and it kept giving me "2006-2011" as the result. Am I not searching properly or is that an error on the videos behalf?
The 2006 Z3 change lever is different from the 2007-2011. The core difference is minor but critical. On the change lever, there are two steel pins that that the ends of the shifter cables mount to. One pin is for the gear cable (the cable actuated by the foward/backward motion of the shifter), and the other pin is for the gate cable (the cable actuated by the left/right motion of the shifter). On the 2006 change lever assembly, the pin for the gear cable is 9mm in diameter. On the 2007-2011 change lever assembly, the pin for the gear cable is 8mm in diameter. The Z3 solution we provide requires use of FK8 (10th Gen Civic Type R) cables OR cables form the 10th Gen 2.0t Accords. Both of those cables require an 8mm pin for the gear cable on the change lever, so these cables would not slide onto the larger 9mm pin on the 2006 Z3 change lever. It is very uncommon for Hondas to have a change like this within a given generation of vehicle, but the 8th gens are an exception and unfortunately have this small but critical difference between the change levers.

Will the 4 way shifter work with a FD2 Type-R swap in a DC2? My friends at hybrid said no, and that I would need to go with a tsx/tl shifter and cables. Can you let me know? My accuity kit is coming in tomorrow
Unfortunately an RSX style shifter will not work with an FD2 transmission or cables. On the FD2 transmission in a k-swap chassis, you'd need the following components:
-OEM FK8 or 10th Gen Accord (with 2.0t engine only, NOT 1.5t engine) shifter cables
-This acuity adapter bracket to attach the cables to the gearbox: acuityinstruments.com/collections/k-swaps/products/10th-gen-civic-accord-shifter-cable-adapter-bracket-for-k24z2-z3-z7-transmissions
-A 10th Gen Civic Shifter (We recommend an OEM shifter with our stage 2 upgrade kit OR our fully adjustable short shifter)
-This acuity adapter bracket to attach the shifter to the center tunnel: acuityinstruments.com/collections/k-swaps/products/k20c-l15b-swap-shifter-adapter-plate-for-10th-gen-civic-shifters
There are also setups that use accord/tsx shifters and cables, but we do not have parts to support that setup. We recommend using only OEM cables as there are not currently shifter cables on the market for Hondas/Acuras that exceed the performance and durability of OEM cables.
If doing the above option, the cables must route through the firewall just above the subframe. Find @EvanWeider or @Bigmacvtak on Instagram to view the same setup on some of our sponsored race cars.
Do you have any recommandation if someone wanted to run this shifter and be able to hide it 100% with oem plastics in an ek/ej chassis? Is bolting it underneath the car would be conceivable ?
You can use a under-the-tunnel Karcepts style adapter (k-tuned makes a clone of it too). However, the template for cutting the center tunnel will be slightly off in those kits because it's designed for an OEM shifter. It's likely the tunnel can be notched less in some areas, but it will need to be notched a touch more on the left side of the shifter to clear the gate rocker. If I were going to take that approach, I'd bolt the shifter to the under-the-tunnel adapter, try to bolt it up, see where there's interference, and then decide how to cut the tunnel. Unfortunately, I have not seen this done before (most people mount the shifters to the top of the tunnel), but it should be possible.
@@rgareh1 Thanks for your quick and detailed answer !! Damn this adds to the cost and needs a lot of triming ... maybe some 3D printed plastic would be the best way, not oem but enough to protect the shifter from dust and to not catch the eyes of a policeman as they love to pull me over 🤭🤭
Can i use the race spec style cable's w the rsx 4way shifter box?
We recommend sticking with oem cables at this time, but if your aftermarket cables can fit to an oem rsx shifter, then it should fit with our rsx short shifters 👍
I did the 10th gen swap for my z3 an it never said I had to change the shift selector I have 06 so now I will need to change that to ??
If you have a K20Z3 transmission out of a 2006 Civic SI, then you will need to change it out to a 2007-2011 Civic SI shift selector. They should be relatively easy to find and at a low cost.

Does SKU: 1937-2W fit a 2000 Honda civic CX with k swap fit?
Thanks for commenting! If you have a k20a/a2/a3 transmission with your k-swapped Civic, then SKU 1937 will be affixed to the top of the center tunnel with our adapter plate (SKU 1946). You’d then hook the shifter up to the transmission with rsx type s shifter cables.

Can they be retrofitted or adapted to an NSX?
We haven’t seen shifters retrofitted into an NSX, but if you kswap it then it may work. The shifter would likely need a custom mounting plate though if the center tunnel isn’t flat 🙏.
can your shifters can work on a sim setup?
Unfortunately they will not work with sim setups. Our short shifters are meant for specific Honda/Acura vehicles 🙏
