Neck Pickup: Babe I’m Gonna Leave You - Led Zeppelin Middle Pickup: Good Times Bad Times - Led Zeppelin Bridge Pickup: Communication Breakdown - Led Zeppelin
He stopped using the tele because a friend of his stripped the paint off it and painted it without telling him. He was so bummed out, he didn't play it anymore, instead he took the neck off and put it on another tele.

I do not like that guitar, cause of how it looks. But i played one yesterday, and oh man, if you dig the looks, you will love it. the neck, and fit & finish of the guitar is just amazing. Very quality guitar.
Zep was just a hair before my time. I was 12 when In Thru The Out Door came out. By 14 I was digging it and delved into the whole Zep catalog. EVH was my main hero. Then Randy Rhoads. It all comes back to Page though. Always my #1.
I was born in 65 but my twin brothers were more than 12 years older than me so I heard 60s and 70s Rock constantly when I was growing up. Hendrix, Cream, Yardbirds, Zep, Sabbath, Queen et al are in my blood. Yes EVH, Rhoads, George Lynch, DiMartini, etc. are also...
Thank you fender for having both a custom shop. But more importantly the Made In Mexico ones. I might actually have a chance of owning my first artist series now. But be able to "Do my own thing" with one. Which is probably the most important part. Gilmore said it best. "This guitar has served me well. And done its purpose. Now it's time that someone else gets to write with it. And pull whatever it may out of the next person to come along.
The pickguard looks a bit flimsy with that sheet of paper warping underneath but it sure plays damn good. I got one and I’m very pleased with how it plays and sounds. The sustain is pretty impressive and although it’s vintage specs, it can be setup with a low action and still allows string bending all over the fretboard. Great Tele.
I plugged into an AC10 tube amp and was blown away by how cool it sounded. It doesn't sound anything like a conventional tele. This guy here sounds great in the video. I'd like Fender to just sell these pickups.
You done that Justice big time good job young man you play with an old soul something I don't see these days I enjoyed you're playing very much great sounding guitar.
Not sure what acoustic he used, but Jimmy used a Fender XII for the majority of Stairway and improvised the solo on the dragon Tele. He had the Gibson doubleneck custom built afterwards so he could actually play it live
Thank you! Great job. That Tele looks great and sounds like Zeppelin. Thanks to Fender for making them affordable. Keep up the great work Lemmo and Jen.
Hi Michael and Jen! Thanks for doing something a bit different today! That was cool, and I know I, for one, would enjoy seeing more. I have a suggestion, and I totally understand if this is not the right forum but it would mean a lot to me and other Guitarist. How about a Guitar of the Day special on Fender Squire? The Vintage Modified 70s STRAT, Classic Vibe 60s or 50s Strat, and of course, the Classic Vibe Telecaster. Also, they have a 70s Telecaster with a Humbucker neck pickup...and it's absolutely SICK!!! Actually, all of these guitars I've mentioned are a real bang for the buck, and rival their comparative Fender versions. I think it'd be great for younger players or anyone wanting a great guitar but just can't spend much on gear at the time. Thank you both for all your work, I really appreciate you. Thanks,Steve-O in Florida.
I’ve seen that and very well remember the things that went before - with drug, girls, beer and laughter so much laughter. We often went to distant times and revved up stuff that were for kids and spent so much time thinking we could do that and loads more often with dreams of Fender Gibson and wotnot - how it came about is another thing certainly… there was much in the past that now seem like a dream and maybe even slightly forgotten as well - it’s hard to remember
I have this guitar myself and I love it. A good price ($1,300) and the action is terrific. Yes, the multi thousand version is US made and painted by Page himself. But I’ve played well-made Mexican Strats and their is no appreciable difference between them and US made.
71 page was rocking the LP. By 75 they were shagged and fagged out, couldn't play for shit. They were just loud and bad in 75 sadly, JP was all strung out. 71' 72' 73' that was the time to see them live i.e. 59 LP, modded Marshall's
The thing I like about Lemmo demos is that he plays things that actually sound nice rather than just mindlessly shredding or playing some generic sounding blues/rock like a lot of other reviewers on RUclips do
That is so awesome that your dad saw the MSG concerts. One of my favorite live shows ever. I love that telecaster!! you can tell by the profile pic haha

Nice mise en scene Jen! what year is this rep based on? All i heard was 1959 pickups. It is string thru? The story of Jimmy's Dragon Tele is a sad one! Was his go to, his #1 (have you seen the vids - heard the boots?) He says a friend took the Tele and stripped the Dragon art & original stain right off! Repainted it and according to Jimmy it just never sounded the same! I know the source is here on YT.
Tate Thompson. He was now using a Les Paul on tour (bought from Walsh) so the Tele was left at home, and his friend repainted it as a present for him. Jimmy returned and wasn't happy to say the least and didn't play it much after as it had lost its vibe. Think he took the neck off it later.
Arts n Crafts , That says alot for Jimmy Page , he went to Art school. The Dragon wasn't on the guitar when beck gave it to jimmy , Jimmy said he was at his house and he heard a rumble outside and it was beck in a American sports car , and gave the guitar to jimmy as a thank you for giving beck a gig.....Jimmy painted the Dragon on there.....I absolutely love and adore that guitar if I could afford it I'd buy it....I first saw it on the Lost Show , the early gig Led Zeppelin did in Europe I think (hazy) I remember it well cause the audience were all sitting down and still and quiet.....it's better than the mirrored tele.....thanks for showing the guitar....btw great playing.
So I watched a video that said that Jimmy page attached extra magnets to the bottom of the bridge pick up and that on the signature model they did the same thing to make it correct. My question is. Did they do that on the MIM version or just the custom shop

You think he has something on his mind? Poor lad
Apparently the "NO STAIRWAY INSIDE THE STORE" rule still applies 😂
Winther Molina he played Stairway in the Jimmy Page signature Les Paul video.
Winther Molina he was doing Zepplin 1 songs only today because that album was recorded entirely on a tele
Schmoo stairway solo was in a tele i think
@@schmoo3407 I believe Black Mountain Side was done on a Danelectro,

Tate Thompson myth.
@@SamAndSamuel no, that's not a myth. It's well written about and talked about BY Jimmy himself.
It's actually true.
It wasn’t because of the fact he painted it it was because the paint fucked up the electronics to where only the neck pickup worked but it is true
The paint over also changed the sound too
Good times bad times was actually the first track on their debut; meaning, for most, it was the first track people heard from the zep
Been looking forward to seeing someone play one of these.

Legend has it, if you meet Michael lemmo, he’ll say “all EQs at noon, touch of verb.” Instead of his own name.
sgtpeppers94 or he‘ll channel Agnesi and shout PLAY AUTHENTIC instead of his name
Nah he DON'T!
Lol
Hilarious.
Got to meet him recently, he just says hi and is super chill and nice.
