I had one of these back in the early 90s. The finish on mine was still silver but over time they get a green tarnish patina like this one. I played through a 66 Super too but never sounded anywhere as good as this performance. Had I known it could make all these cool sounds I might have kept it but I'm no Michael Lemme. Well done!!

I almost bought one when they first came out. I was a kid with little money so I couldn't justify it. The color was silver for the silver anniversary. They turned greenish gold over the years from the lacquer yellowing. The one I almost bought was really heavy. How is the weight on that one?
In late 1979 or early 1980 I jammed with a guy from work who had just bought the 25th Anniversary Strat. His was clearly silver (silver anniversary). Did the color change or did they offer more than just silver? Unfortunately he moved out-of-state and passed away, but I always wondered where that guitar is today.
The color of this guitar was originally silver like you remember of your friend's Anniversary, but age has yellowed the clear coat a bit on this example to give it a bit of a bronze look (which Micael called "gold.") A very small number of the first batch of Anniversary models were painted white but the finish checked and flaked pretty spectacularly very soon thereafter so Fender changed to silver.
The originals were pearl white. The paint cracked on them. Fender fixed them by painting them Porsche silver. The silver ones had copper metal flake in the paint. As they age this copper flake turns green. Hence the green appearance.
@@ernestoviu3952 It was an anniversary trans white like the Page mirror I had it from 82- 84 maybe a 25/50? didnt have anniversary on the body but it was the best tele I ever played
Wow, it really does have a pronounced different sound with the flat pole pieces..very interesting! Thank you Michael and Jen but geez keep it clean for the kiddies will ya? no swearing🤣🤣😉😉
I have an actual '79 Strat. It's butchered to death from a really poor Floyd Rose modification. I removed the Floyd and sold it off, now I think think the guitar is worthless in it's current state...
I have a purple Jim Dunlop... It sounds more better than my other Dunlop wah because it is purple? lol purple ones cost more cause they sound better ! lol
It must have taken all the sound processing they had to get this model to sound decent. The general build quality had reached an all time low when these models were produced. Those were easily the worst sounding pickups I've every found on a Strat.
@@American-Dragon until google I had never heard of it before! I Graduated in 81 and hung around a lot of Musicians and had a Sister as a Teacher so I’m trying to get my 9 year old into playing! She’s the one who spotted it! Keep up the great Tunes!
This is possibly the best Lemmo store performance video that I have seen so far! And my favorite Strat!
You should be in the store to hear him live!! 🔥🔥🔥🎸☮️
Customers in the store looking at guitars saying I wish I could play even 2% of what Michael lemmo can play😅
True story. I’ve been playing professionally for twenty years and Lemmo makes me look like a hack. He’s darn good!
Exactly. If you were an actual player, as if you wouldn’t just go and watch Lemmo do that thing!
The looper tutorial was on point my dude
I wish Lemmo would do a whole tutorial just on looping. He's got that down.
He’s a one man show!!
I asked for more looper videos and you delivered, Thanks Lemmo!
Thank you Michael and Jen!!
Amazing playing again! and again! and ...
You are the man!
Wow that was a real treat, thankyou all.

Great playing. What a treat.

There’s a lot of tremendously good guitar players in this world and Michael Lemmo is one of them awesome job Michael and thanks Jen👍👍👍🤙
Jen always has or goes the complimentary. Whoa, on stratarday.
Awesome set Lemmo! Awesome video Jen!
Gr8 Mike.
Those guitars were lemons in their days.
Excellent demonstration.
Class act.
Yea they weren't sought after at all, even 20 years ago you could buy one for about £1200 in the UK
Great tone!
Magnificent
First song is every breath you take/twin peaks
that axe has a real deep growl with it, love it, the Hendrix part fabulus mick, loved the vid.
The LEMMO Rhythm machine
Love the looper
just amazing what Mr Lemmo can make that sound like. So rare to hear position 2 used with some distortion. Fantastic!
A full little Lemmo concert!
Nice sound
Lemmo is cooking….

If not just say
Nice....
Great Strat Michael
I bought one brand new in April of 79 🎸
DAMMNNN. Please ask Jen what “kakaiba ka talaga” means
Mike I’ve been waiting a few years to hear you play that opener again. What’s it called? Beautiful
Lemmo is the kind of guy to have a CBS headstock without a bullet truss rod
For April fools day you all should do a totally straight faced GOTD of a Glary or Donner guitar.

My schoolfriend had one of these, got it for his 16th birthday. My parents could only afford an Ibanez Blazer 😅
Fantastic sounds, can you tell me the pedal you are using to loop the various sounds your playing?
Lemmo and Tosh should collaborate, that'd be cool
Hi Michael 👋. Nice job. Are you using a Looper Station? 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵💖

What pedals do you use there? Love the show!!
Insane playing Lemmo, but that 'gold' guitar looks slightly green to me. Looks unreal though.
I had a 25th anniversary telecaster for a while that was one sweet guitar
Are there 25th anniversary telecasters?
@@ernestoviu3952 It was an anniversary trans white like the Page mirror I had it from 82- 84 maybe a 25/50? didnt have anniversary on the body but it was the best tele I ever played
When is the next Lemmo guitar album? I want one or two...
Sometimes Michael needs to remind us
I remember those hated the 25 anniversary lettering, lemmo is it a boat anchor?
There are one of these at my local guitar shop. It's unfortunately one of the hard to play ones.
Did I see a gouge on the back of that guitar or was that just the lighting in the backroom?
whats the first song he played? i recognize it but cant figure it out
Strat - iconic sound - im more Tele guy
billy jean vibes on the middle
What looper does Lemmo use ?
I believe he just uses the simple ditto looper
What is the riff at 5min in I hear him play it a lot but can’t figure out what it is
The color isn't my favorite but at least it sounds good.
What is that third tune anyone? From 6:30?
I wish I could give 1000 likes, :)
👍✌❤😎

It´s silver paint, not gold. 25th Anniversary = Silver Anniversary

you should use a wah wah pedal it changes the guitars tone when you use them
my first was a DeArmond Weeper Wah I bought back in the early 80s
I have a purple Jim Dunlop... It sounds more better than my other Dunlop wah because it is purple? lol purple ones cost more cause they sound better ! lol

The guitar sounds not good.
Those guitars from the 70s were so bad !
That Strat was so heavy ! Come on guys quit telling the little kids that they are vintage!
Please remind Jen her mouth is right by the mic.
I’m Sorry but we just watched you not Touching the Strings and they Changed Notes! I’m Not liking this!🤔🤥😢
