    If you don’t have a fancy wipe to handle a run. Wait til the next day when the paint sets up.take some 120 then some 220 sand paper sand it smooth then respray or roll over it again ..if theres any gouges just spackle it…keep a har dryer or a heat gun with you for quicker dry time on your spackle…this dude is a pro and he knows what he’s doing so i would go his route also…

    Good advice, another thing that works is to block sand out the run with a rubber sanding block with either# 220 -#320, don't use a wood block, it's to rigid and could possibly scratch the finish, when I'm using oils, I'll wet sand it with water, if I'm using acrylics I went sand with mineral spirits, basically you just wanna keep the sandpaper cool and not gum up your finish. If I'm using satin enamels I'll block sand out the sags without burning through the paint into the primer, then I'll use deft satin clear spray lacquer and just dust a couple coats on it and the sags literally disappear and it doesn't leave halo's or dead spots.

    Thanks for you Videos. I was painting my ceiling with airless sprayer and went too heavy on coat (went too slow with gun) which resulted in some runs. I was thinking of wet sanding them out, but am concerned that if I re-shoot one line across my ceiling that I'll get a Holiday streak. I'm using a low-sheen Dunn Edwards Suprema paint. Any advise on how to avoid Holiday streak if I re-shoot after sanding? Thanks!

    Thanks for showing the product and technique. Sanded a latex run with 240 and blended perimeter by wiping with rubbing alcohol, wiped off excess paint with wet towel then dry towel. Great alternative to bondo blend.

    Does the truSwipe method work on SW Enamel Urethane Trim and Cabinet Paint? I just did all my oak cabinets with help from watching your cabinet series ( I sprayed them black with the Enamel Urethane Trim paint), and I have several sags and drips after my first coat. And how long should I wait before attempting this fix? Thank you!

    I sprayed 12 doors with behr dynasty acrylic paint.
    Have a few runs I need to get rid of. Tried sanding and the paint peels. Should I wait a full seven days before I sand? Manufacturer states 7 days for full cure.
    Thanks

      Correct. You can also just get a jug of denatured alcohol and put a tiny bit on an old rag for the same effect

      It's seems like a good idea, but to save additional costs I think I'll just keep wet sanding any little defects out, with machine wet sand means no filler 90% of the time

    I have an older 440i and am fairly new to spraying. I keep running like crazy. Working fast but getting a ton of material on it. Just did trim with a 210ff tip and still running like crazy. I think I need to add a pressure gauge to see what I am actually running @.
    If I would have made that many passes on that door, there would be a million runs.

      Lightweight Evercoat Bondo is what we use back in the day probably the best long-term. Dries fast you can put multiple coats in a day.
      But if you have a whole house to do fill holes fix imperfections not real productive An Affair To Sand if you put it in a newbie's hand.

    Denatured alcohol works just the same maybe even better

    • @joshsawyer2622
      @joshsawyer2622 3 года назад +2

      Yup. Any solvent like toluene, methanol, acetone, naptha, denatured alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol or a combination of these such as Wilbond or Goof Off will produce similar results as these wipes by breaking down the acrylic plastic binders in the paint. I can see the convenience in these wipes but there’s really nothing ground breaking about them. Good for the guys who came up with them though. Their savvy marketing made them richer than me.
