I really love the rotary cutter. I have retaining wall, wood fences with wild grape vines growing through, and grass that grows 2 inches into the driveway despite annual edging. As an amateur it is hard to do it wrong with this. Only downside is it drops the clippings where they get cut unlike a string trimmer dispersing.
Round up and fusalade 2 my friend one is non selective one is grassy weed control right over your plants without damage 😮😮😮😮 great product fusalade 2 take care my friend 😊
Awesome product thanks for the video. Can you find a similar attachment head for an average battery powered string trimmer thats more universal in its use for example I have an older 40v Dewalt string trimmer and a literal jungle in the backyard so I need a blade but I dont know what attachment to use on this particular product
Hey I realize older vid/post but follow up question about what maintenance in the way of lube/corrosion prevention steps you’ve taken to keep this functional? I’m wondering if like the KM-145r power scythe hedge trimmer there is a means to lube/grease the “gearbox”. I ask to help decide between these two attachments for cutting reed grass under the water level also. I don’t doubt you but Stihls “official” answer I’ve read from them is that this is not in fact “waterproof “ or designed for underwater. Clearly it works that way but wondering what steps you take or have you confirmed water/corrosion issues aren’t discovered inside the gearbox? Thanks!! I’m all about thinking outside the box, lol!!

Thanks Joe 🙂
Those weeds are beneficial for that pond and water run off going to the lenal shelf in the pond. Minus the invasive species

Great video!!! How do you maintain the unit after using it underwater? Is it waterproof enough to not cause internal damage?
Thank you. The head of the unit must stay out of the water. The attachment itself is water proof.
It looks like the front blades take the brunt of the work. Can they be rotated to prolong the life when they dull?
A very valid point
How would this do with poison ivy as far as not flicking oil/juices everywhere?
3 herniated disks!! Good lord! Take it easy😊
haha thank you 🙂
Shreding disk with 4 tooths is amazing also a oregon 3 touth to shred all that close to lake 😂
I knew you were going to use it to trim the flowers😂 because I would I need one
Nice❤
🙂
Love it, but too rich for my blood.
Rotary scissors at underwater, but not waterproof NOT seal O-RING in gearbox and tubing with ball bearing
