That Terrell Ownes game was one of the funniest sequences in football history And it’s even funnier that he later played for Dallas so the fans were forced to root for him
There was no unwritten rule violation in the TO affair. It's really one of the great between plays sequences in league history - Owens pulling a not unreasonable "look at me" (you play that well, I'll give you that one), Smith being motivated to take the star back, and then when Owens dares to go for another round (with the Cowboys now ready for it) he has the right and Teague had the right to suffer a penalty to "defend his house". Fans love it all because we get it, from both sides. Owens dared to push, and Teague was willing to answer. Good stuff!
It's not an "unwritten rule" to not waste time showing off when the clock is running and you have limited time to get down the field and you're down by 8. That's a "You do this and coach is never going to let you hear the end of how your ego cost us the game" rule.
I'm an old Giant fan who liked the '80's/90's 49er's and the '70's Steelers as a kid so I've hated the Dallas Cowboys my whole life. When George Teague hit Owens on the star that marked the only time I ever rooted for a Cowboy.
The Jets pretty much won, so they were just trying to run down the clock by kneeling a few times. One of the Steelers tried to be a hero and somehow get the ball back (I guess) and try to score. Although, he has every right to try, it's extremely unlikely that he'd pull it off and at that point he's just risking injury to one of the Jets. It's kind of a "know when you're beat" situation.
One of the originals of this series its when Buddy Ryan order to fake Randall Cunningham and they scored, obviously the game was decided. Landry and Ryan did not shake hands. Ryan allegated he did it cause Landry aligned Randy White (who did not participate in the strike and played with scabs) and gave the Cowboys a clear advantage
I don’t understand why everyone gets upset about running up the score in nba or nfl. like i was told as a kid. keep playing till you hear the whistle/till the end of the game
Is pulling a player’s hair breaking an unwritten rule when the rules specifically allow it? Theybruled the hair is considered part of the uniform and fair game
The only play i have a problem with is the fake kneel down. its pretty bush league, if you want to run up the score I could care less. But, faking the kneel down incentivizes defensive players to dive at your knees and shit at the end of games and its just kinda garbage.
I absolutely love to and the cowboys going back n forth on the star and its so sad we’ll never see anything close to this again. Real football is dead😔
That Hekker sequence makes me laugh every time 🤣
bro laughing himself
Revenge on a punter? Pretty soft.
@@Heathcoatman Hekker wasn't even going to pretend to have any pride 🤣🤣🤣
@@Heathcoatman No its not dont start shit if you cannot back it up.
@@Heathcoatmannothing soft except Hekker lol, the way he flinched as they did nothing 😂

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Forced no we love T.O. Over here ⭐️
That punter at the end is so funny, they were gonna straight up murk him 😂
Claypool really got angry because his celebration got ruined because they were trying to spike the ball
Dude has problems everywhere he goes. Was happy we got rid of him in Chicago quick
crazy thing is that the steelers were about to complete the largest comeback in nfl history. leave it to another pittsburgh diva receiver to ruin it
Is no one gonna talk about how Burrow was holding his own against TJ watt for quite a few seconds there 😂
To be fair, watt was actually making a play blocking and I don't think he was going 100%
I guess victory formation is where those intrusive thoughts come to life

There is though. Disrespecting the logo is an unwritten rule.
You don’t disrespect the logo in center field. It is an unwritten rule.
I didn’t realize smith and owens played at the same time. So long ago.
The Saints players wanted to score and they did, which was hilarious

Yeah, your opponents are happy to see you do it. More brain dead and selfish than anything.
Claypool is such a clown
Just another guy who doesnt care about his team, only cares about his image. Clown is an understatement.

Do you have to be a pos to play / coach for the Steelers?
Finally made a part 2
Sporting videos 2, what are the unwritten rules?
Can somebody explain to me what is going on with the guy who flipped over everybody? Why did they start fighting?

Fuck those unwritten rules. Score till the very last second
Unwritten rules aren’t worth the paper they are written on.
How about the paper they’re not written on?

The hair pulling weird
Some of these rules I can infer. Some of these I cannot. Anyone care to help me out?

I mean, that's what an "unwritten rule" is: a rule that people will generally follow, even though it's not actually a rule.
This unwritten rule isn’t written for a reason it’s stupid play till the siren sounds 😂😂😂 losers

damn cowboys soft 😂
Owens once on the star i get... when he went the second time that was douchey. And i hate the cowboys as much as the next guy
That's the Niners for you - if it weren't for low class, they wouldn't have any.
to be fair he had a cowboys redemption arc later on so i can forgive him

Hekker is a moron to think that he could get away with that without having some kind of retaliation.
