They focus too much on the camera, yes it's camera is excellent but the processor was too weak to process the photo on time. This phone still have much room for improvements.
@willitbeatnokia? Could you share those raw files? I would love to try editing them in Lightroom/Snapseed/google photos. And see how that depth selection works 🙏
@@ranjitkumar-bu7qh i am mostly interested in the amout of control you get over the Bokeh effect. And the accuracy of it. As well as the B&W tone depth
Be interesting how the mi note 10 camera set up will perform with 5 cameras and 108 mp.nokia 9 now dropped to 350 pounds in uk...v tempting but l will wait to see how mi note 10 performs.
Imagine, I have to change my Lumia 950 XL so at a price range of 550€ I got a Nokia 9, P30 Pro and now Mi Note 10. But the Nokia 9 has many software flaws, doesn't have OIS, videorecording sucks. It doesn't fully convince me. They only way to buy it is to try it with my own hands first, thing that's not possible. Mi Note 10 Pro has 8 lenses but still in the wind, so maybe it will be available in december. No SD855+ and SD730G is a little laggy. It remains the P30 Pro, which has some issues with green tint, but it's 5X periscopic optical zoom is still unbeaten. If only Nokia were faster in delivering a flagship...instead for a Nokia 9.1 we have to wait Q2 2020, ridiculous. HMD seem like being 2 steps back the top brands and I fear they will mount a SD855+ instead of the new SD865.
I know how you feel. I don't want to dump my 950XL. Still I believe it got juice for a year or so, before Nadella finally pulls the plug for all services. Besides, I changed the camera almost a year ago because of some weird damage and now I'm ordering some new batteries. For the apps leaving the platform, I'm fine with that, even with WhatsCrapp, my few contacts already use telegram or Skype, so no worries for the app abyss. I'm going to wait to see if HMD addresses the video issues, better sensors and even a better more reliable fingerprint reader, an updated CPU, how they keep the flat screen, more storage and even SD Card support, more RAM, I know that OIS is impossible because of the sensors array, but still some sort of stabilization and better EIS would be fine. So I'm not in a hurry, my Lumia can still perform. Actually it outperforms my parents Note 8 and iPhone XS Max in every sense, so I'm fine.
I had a 950 once only thing with photos was colour accuracy wasnt great to many orange faces in portrait shoots. I am good good results with my s9plus raw is not great but auto with some edits is good, portrait depth is good with room to improve with editing its a do it all phone.......but still fancy the nokia 9!
I think photos captured in iPhone 11 are more saturated comparing to Nokia. Color is bright and ready to frame, while Nokia 9 PV offers the true color of each object. And details are better with Nokia 9PV comparing to iPhone11. I really love the 1st sample taken with N9PV. Every detail is noticeable, while it becomes kind of messy with iPhone 11. However, in the case of the Barbie doll, details seem better with the iPhone.
@@starboy1070 that is a image file mode that contain all details of the picture. It takes more store than a JPEG but it's better to edit if you have a app for it
nokia 9 good idea, but 5 poor cameras and poor software... no stabilisation video and wery bad video. iam waiting for real flagship nokia with big sensors ,5 cameras and good 4k 60 fps video --- real multimedia power
That what scares me and make me not buying the phone. I'm not used to buy a phone every year, and if I have to spend 400€ (my budget is around 550€ no more), I feel like it's better looking elsewhere, since the Nokia 9.1 is expected in Q2 2020. Too bad, because this phone has something that really intrigues me!
@@ankitseth6307 Hell if I knew it... they will likely call it 9.2 because they are LATE at HMD, once again. They want to use the Snapdragon 865 but they are tremendously late, so they risk to present the phone only during autumn 2020. So pray that they will present a REAL high-end phone and not a WIP phone wannabe top.
Nokia is absolutely smoking these pictures. There is a couple of mishaps in the photoshop ad the auto focus seems a bit of on both phones sometimes. But overall it’s definitely the Nokia who wins
Guys I'm waiting for N9 successor because of this phone hardware and camera hardware need more powerful processor to process 60Mp shots and great result and process time will be less with powerful chipset
@tom lewis no doubt Nokia takes better photo , 4:36 , one can clearly see the bluish color of rope looks more artificial(too bright) in iphone ,also it loses more detail. On the other hand , Nokia manages to take the pic exactly what it is look like. Details r better in Nokia.
I love Nokia (have 808,1020 and 950) but these Pictures show that nothing is better than a big sensor. Both Phones Bokehs are computed and at 3:21 both look like a mess. In most cases 9PV looks better but at 3:09 the edge detection of the iphone is better. Im not a fan of computed Bokeh (either depth map or only software) not in the 9pv and not in the iphone. Just build sensors with an adequate size ant optics an maybe mount them paralles in the phone body like the periscope zooms in p30,s20u. If the phone is a little bit thicker at the top its ok. From a functional and personally for me feeling persepective the 1020 had one of the best designs ever. (808 was a little bit to small/slippery^^)
The Nokia hardware is next to perfect, the software leaves a lot to be desired for. My 9pv freezes continually. Especially when switching between video and photo. Also taking a pic whilst filming brings the image out of focus. I have been waiting for a proper camera software update, but left disappointed. Aside from the camera software it's a great phone. Except for the shocking finger print reader. Long story short, the Nokia takes great still professional photos. I've taken some stunners. But as an action camera it can't beat the iPhone. I use my wife's iPhone 8 to take pics of the kids, because they won't sit still. Please Nokia fix this.
I'm absolutely amazed at how gorgeous these photos look with the Nokia
