    This was the best Herd interview in a while. Colin, please talk about soccer, hockey, tennis etc. It will help your show and keep viewers interested. This shouldn't be the LeBron and Lavar Ball show. Diversify!

    • @completeGamer007
      @completeGamer007 6 лет назад +5

      Nathaniel R it’s not about diversity it’s about ratings, soccer never got views so they didn’t talk about it. Hopefully it can start growing in interest by the numbers

    • @MrNRib
      @MrNRib 6 лет назад +11

      He hasn't tried from what I've seen. He didnt have a single segment about a historic hockey team's run nor Ovechkin finally winning a cup, both of which were getting good ratings across the board. Showing that he cares about sports other than NBA and NFL will help his brand and expand his base.

    • @JHockeyFan
      @JHockeyFan 6 лет назад +2

      @ Nathaniel R, I wish Cowherd would talk NHL or at least bring in a former player via satellite call to talk about the sport. It seems like all the sports talk/debate shows on ESPN and FS1 talk about NBA and NFL 90-95% of the time and it gets old. FS1 doesn't even own TV rights to the NBA, but their talk/debate shows obsess over it. They're trying to become a poor man's ESPN, I guess. They own TV rights to MLB, MLS, and NASCAR but never talk about those on their talk/debate shows...

      Don't get too excited...I have heard this same passion from different people for 30 years about how something like this will build the game in the U.S.
      I really hope I'm wrong, but my thoughts are that the game will NEVER be crazy here. People were more interested in Vegas during the Stanley Cup than they are currently in the World Cup. Again...I hope I am wrong and the game grows amazingly...but I have been hearing that for 30 years.

    Even though football (soccer) is not the first priority in the US this is great news. It will not only make the interest for the game much bigger but also boost the economy, etc etc. Great news!

    • @badkarma7915
      @badkarma7915 6 лет назад +10

      "will boost the economy" for a few corrupt corporations and their owners. The last couple times it made a lot of people more poor. This event is like the Olympic games a scam. Big international corporations suck money from locals, steal their taxes. Also the US can now drop charges against corrupt FIFA members after their own corruption campaign was successful. You do not get the event without bribes. US soccer will never be part of a big 5 instead of the big 4. Soccer does not fit the US advertising market. It has only one halftime break.

    I am glad that Colin Cowherd talked about soccer (football). It brings exposure for the sport. MLS will only get better if they pay for elite men's players, and the 2026 World Cup will do wonders for sport. It will be even better if the MNT goes far or wins the tournament.

    • @isiahpaskins
      @isiahpaskins 4 года назад

      I like the enthusiasm. I also like Colin talking about soccer bc he never talks about it and the sport needs the exposure. The 2026 World Cup will be the best of all time. I do believe the MNT will win. The tournament in 2026. Based on how we’re progressing, we’re on track to qualify for 2022 and 2026 respectively. We’ll be a completely changed Fédération by 2026 knowing we wrote our past wrongs on how we go about soccer and go about the World Cup. Us missing 2018 was a blessing in disguise bc now we have improved our ways. I’m very excited, and I hope I get to see you there in 2026, perhaps at a match with any country and/or the USMNT.

    And when you think FIFA did all what they can in order to have US in a world cup and they blew it. I mean, if CONCACAF and CONMEBOL were one federation, like in Europe, US chances of qualifying would be probably zero.

    • @SI-cd7xs
      @SI-cd7xs 6 лет назад

      Yup. FIFA make it as easy as possible for US to qualify because they want the big TV contracts and they still can't. CONCACAF is garbage. Hosting a 5th world cup in that region is a disgrace.

      First of all, no one bid except US-Can-Mex and MOROCCO.
      Second, do you know any country that will not a ruin their economy?
      3rd, how many countries that has so many Stadiums? Like they don't have to build new ones?

    Soccer is the only sport where the final winners are true World Champions...
    The NFL, MLB, or even the Olympics will dwarf compared with the magnitude of this event because of the location.
    As a native of the Northamerican region, and knowing what the cultural environments are in Mexico, the United States and Canada I predict this to be the greatest sports party our planet earth has ever seen. Mark my words...
    I'm so ready.

    Agreed with some of the other people, Colin's show would be so much better if he incorporated other sports that he doesn't talk about like hockey, soccer, baseball. Sure he doesn't know as much about hockey or soccer but that's where you incorporate guests
