This scene fucked me up so bad. I watched it on a flight home from vegas and bawled my eyes out. Old hispanic lady sitting next to me barely spoke english grabbed my hand and asked me "you have son?" I said yes and she held my hand until I got my shit together. Made me incredibly grateful that my deployments happened before I had a family.
I don't care what anyone says Shia Labeouf is one of the best actors in the whole wide world he was amazing in this movie and especially the ending and he deserves more.
Alot of people would say that the whole movie sucked till the end. But u have to understand his mindset and u wont see that till the very end. Then everything clicks. Very sad though. Alot of guys go through this but on a way lower level. But few do on this level and its sad cause u cant get them "back".
Just watched this movie and this scene left me with big ugly tears streaming down my face 😢 the acting by shia is incredible shame on the academy awards for not recognising this performance this man is an artist. he is going to one of the greatest of his generation 👏
Normally I never cry. But holy shit, the end got me. I just watched the movie without seeing the trailer. So I didn’t see this incredible end coming...
Say what you want about Shia this dude is a great fucken great actor. Ever since he started playing transformers he has just been getting better. Great movie great acting. By the way this shit made me cry like a little bitch.
sdiakko372 Who said anything about the movie you dumb fuck. Lol And speaking of little bitches look who's talking behind their phone typing away talking shit, now your the bitch.
Although I'm Japanese who hardly understand English, I know what this movie means and surely I can't help but cry in the end. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Some movies can take you to the edge of the seat... This ending scene was one of the saddest from a marine movie... "hey man down, have a good day bud"
Shia LaBeouf is a great actor always admired he's work and he's interviews how he is brutally honest. This film is bold brave and cuts deep, PTSD is real and so many veterans carry this baggage around most taking their own life sadly. This was a really well put together movie everything was perfect and acting on everybody's parts was outstanding. Sad but powerful ending. Credit to everyone who made this film especially Shia.
No movie has ever impacted me more than this movie. Shia is one of the greatest actors of our generation, this is truly underrated. This scene, this song. My best friend and I tell each other "man down" all the time just as they do in this movie. It will resonate with me forever.
I teared up a bit when the kid noticed that his dad's talky-walky wasn't working. At that moment I was like 'shit, this has gotten really out of hand and Gabriel lost his mind."
This was an incredibly powerful movie throughout. This scene, in particular, is an especially powerful look into soldiers that suffer from severe PTSD.
When that second shot went off, I don’t know what happened but I just said “well, that was bloody unnecessary” in a really posh accent and then started crying and laughing at the same time and now I just 😂😭
the whole movie was really about getting the truth about ptsd out there about how bad it really can get. next time you see a veteran across you town or city and he kinda acts nuts , well its probably becouse he is a little. as much killing some vets do and then on top of it you find out your wife or girlfriend cheats on you after you come back from medical leave from being shot 4 times , hell yea better not fuck with that vet , thats why vets wonder around by thereself.
Shane Kasper I am and this shit is an everyday thing I got into trouble many times on return from Afghanistan over my ex my opinion because the law and other people say I cannot blame my ptsd so I DO keep to myself HUA
jesse Valadez From the outside looking in my opinion is that vets seem to do better in groups of people. Also I don't know if you meant just about all of these experiences in the movie or some of them. Having a problem doesn't justify anything it just means you have a problem. Anyways I respect your service and hope you are doing well and continue to do well
This film was absolutely incredible, I know Shia LaBeouf is a great actor but this here was on a next level. Had that lump in the throat at the end, peace and respect to all soldiers 🙏🏾
After many years, I realized that he shot the dog that he gave to his son, this is terrible, veterans need care, respect and qualified help, no matter in which country!
i just watched the whole movie but the ending was so powerful that it got me Great Movie Its Worth Of Watching I Respect Shia For Doing Great Acting in movies But that movie Is Kinda Sad Worth of watching
PTSD returned to me, it's terrible. Ukraine is at war. according to this movie, I understand what it is. Pain that hurts everyone. an injury that I have to overcome. this is a very big challenge for me.
He didn’t really die he only got shot in the right side of the body and the heart is on the left side of the body. And you saw when he got tied right and got put to the corner right? He’s was still alive.
It's called a sucking chest wound and he probably passed away . Nobody was rendering him proper aid he was most likely drowing on his own blood in his lungs
Well I guess it's nicer to think that maybe, just maybe he survived and was given the help he so desperately needed to recover from his mind bending trauma ❤
No one is commenting how disgusting the wife was. He was out here risking his life for his country and she was cheating on him with best friend. That's what really destroyed the man
u can come up with ur own ending happy ending : it was all a hallucination or he spends time in prison and later reunites with his son sad ending : he tragically dies
imo i think him replying to his son is his last words and final breathe. Son: i love you. Dad trying to say it back as he is dying: i love you to. makes it a billion times more heart breaking n more powerful
The wife never said I’m sorry not even at the las minute, she was the responsable for him losing his life his kid everything, and she was the responsable for his kid losing his dad, extremely sad!!! Shia is the greatest actor of our time
This scene fucked me up so bad. I watched it on a flight home from vegas and bawled my eyes out. Old hispanic lady sitting next to me barely spoke english grabbed my hand and asked me "you have son?" Underrated film for sure...
The Middle of the movie sucked. The ending was epic
Amazing film
Great movie. But to shoot him 3 times when his weapon was down. Pissed me offffff
I don't care what anyone says Shia Labeouf is one of the best actors in the whole wide world he was amazing in this movie and especially the ending and he deserves more.
Muhummed YOUSSEF in this movie Shia labeouf is acting like a complete psychopath
Are you serious you don't appreciate anyone outstanding acting why don't you go do his role and see how you do!!!
Muhummed YOUSSEF I do appreciate his outstanding acting but he is kind of acting like a psychopath in this movie
@@zainsiddiqui8648 it's called PTSD. He's still stuck in that moment where his mind broke completely and he was traumatized
If not the best
One of the most powerful scenes ever in a movie.
dude I've never even seen this movie and this scene made me cry lmao
Alot of people would say that the whole movie sucked till the end. But u have to understand his mindset and u wont see that till the very end. Then everything clicks. Very sad though. Alot of guys go through this but on a way lower level. But few do on this level and its sad cause u cant get them "back".
Such a sad ending all he wanted was his family but he was to far gone smh underrated movie 💯
So I didn’t see this incredible end coming...

underrated performance

Dude this stuff made me and my dad cry when we watched the movie together and this also made me love my dad more
No movie has ever impacted me more than this movie. Shia is one of the greatest actors of our generation, this is truly underrated. This scene, this song.
My best friend and I tell each other "man down" all the time just as they do in this movie. It will resonate with me forever.
Shia’s acting is unreal in this film.
Shia is immensely talented & criminally underrated, I've been a fan of his from day one even during his breakdown I knew he'd rise above and he has.
I cried when the son crawled across to his dad
I teared up a bit when the kid noticed that his dad's talky-walky wasn't working. At that moment I was like 'shit, this has gotten really out of hand and Gabriel lost his mind."
This was an incredibly powerful movie throughout. This scene, in particular, is an especially powerful look into soldiers that suffer from severe PTSD.
this scene made me cry. when the note from Shia's hand that read: Man down, I was done.
I remember I was 18, just had my first son, watched this movie & balled like crazy 🥲🥲🥲 great fuckin movie. Great acting as well.
This movie was good man. Just finished watching after much waiting and thinking. Should I, should I not watch this? Gave it a go. Loved it
all of them were great actors!!!!! even the kid wowowowow
4:32 the tears started rolling out hard 😭
One of the best movies! Shia is just an awsome actor!
I love you dad
OMG best actor man
this man is playing a Viking who' is aware of his impending doom. from the beginning and he does so flawlessly from the start,
When that second shot went off, I don’t know what happened but I just said “well, that was bloody unnecessary” in a really posh accent and then started crying and laughing at the same time and now I just 😂😭
This scene make me cry
Just found out about this movie but the end seen had me balling my eyes out. Hell of a movie.
the whole movie was really about getting the truth about ptsd out there about how bad it really can get. next time you see a veteran across you town or city and he kinda acts nuts , well its probably becouse he is a little. as much killing some vets do and then on top of it you find out your wife or girlfriend cheats on you after you come back from medical leave from being shot 4 times , hell yea better not fuck with that vet , thats why vets wonder around by thereself.

Shane Kasper I am and this shit is an everyday thing I got into trouble many times on return from Afghanistan over my ex my opinion because the law and other people say I cannot blame my ptsd so I DO keep to myself HUA
SBB1809 it means he was in the Army
jesse Valadez From the outside looking in my opinion is that vets seem to do better in groups of people. @Shane Kasper: doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
I literally cried my eyes out just because I have a son and I cant imagine breaking his heart. powerful scene
Finished watching 20 mins ago and the ending killed me. So so sad, still in tears now.
What a freaking great final scene ! Shia is one of the best actors in the game ! I have always loved Shia !
I cried like a baby when I seen this movies ending
Well once again Shias impeccable acting has ripped my heart STRAIGHT FROM MY CHEST...
when Shia breaks down telling his son I'm sorry I got confused I didn't know that whole scene fucked me up excellent performance by Shia respect
This film was absolutely incredible, I know Shia LaBeouf is a great actor but this here was on a next level. Had that lump in the throat at the end, peace and respect to all soldiers 🙏🏾
I not ashamed to say I cried alot. Very powerful. Changed my whole idea about how I thought I knew shia LaBeouf. Honey boy changed my view even more.

Why did Shia have to die?
Not every movie has a happy ending
This scene just😭😭😭😢😢😢💔
PTSD returned to me, it's terrible. Ukraine is at war. according to this movie, I understand what it is. Pain that hurts everyone. an injury that I have to overcome. this is a very big challenge for me.
Dam this scene made me cry 😢. I even seen the movie yet
The best ever
He didn’t really die he only got shot in the right side of the body and the heart is on the left side of the body. And you saw when he got tied right and got put to the corner right? He’s was still alive.
Raul Medina you don’t have to be shot in the heart to die. Blood lose can be a result of death, could’ve hit organs like the lungs.
Sensacional
😢💔
I pray for the pain to end
Gotta watch it...sheshhh
Why would they shot at him when’s he’s hugging his kid and why more than once
Because you shoot until the threat is neutralized and because it's BS Hollywood, that's why...
For my the best actor men WoW
No one is commenting how disgusting the wife was. He was out here risking his life for his country and she was cheating on him with best friend. That's what really destroyed the man
Yup!! She did a good job of playing a narcissistic victim!!!
