10 Minute Strength Training Workout for Beginners & Seniors // Full Body with Weights

  • Welcome to this quick and effective total body strength workout! We will work all the major muscle groups using a light to medium pair of dumbbells (I'm using 4 lbs) in just 10 minutes. I encourage you to do the video a second time for another set if you would like more of a challenge or faster results.
    All exercises are performed in a standing position and most are compound exercises so we are exercising multiple body parts at once. Always go at your own pace. You do you!

    I love the 10 minute workout. I can do it alone, add it to other workouts to complete my daily hour or repeat it 2 or 3 times for lots of reps. I also like that it doesn't have warm-ups or cool-downs because if you are combining routines, you don't need that each time. I'm sticking to my goal and feeling stronger and sleeping better.       That's so great Diane! That's how I designed the 10 minute workouts, they are a great add-on, or when you don't have much time. I love the feeling when working out that you can keep going and do more. It's obviously paying off for you and it's fabulous that you are feeling the benefits :)

      Yes! It's great for any age! My channel focuses on beginners and seniors, but I have LOTS of viewers in their 40's and 50's as well. Nice job getting back into fitness. I think you'll enjoy my other workouts as well. They are definitely not your Grandma's workouts ;)

    I did this whole series again……5 minute warmup, 10 minute full body strength class, one of your first walking workouts and finished with the 10 minute stretch class!! Love it!! 😊

    Just subscribed! You are an excellent teacher. I'm 63 and just getting started with weight and strength training and I have no idea what to do. Zero. I'm starting from scratch. Even though I'm not overweight and I walk everyday, I'm still scared about getting hurt. You easily explain the proper forms in a calm cadence, easily understandable vocabulary. You are giving me hope because whenever I hear "weight or strength training" it makes me low-key nervous; but you are fantastic. Thank you so much!

    Perfect add on full body workout!! It's pretty amazing how those 4 lb dumbbells packed a punch in this workout!! 💪 and, how the squats and split squats added that extra cardio effect!!! I added this onto another cardio workout and loved it!!! 🙌🙌🤩!!!!!

    I retired (again) a few weeks ago and realized I wasn't doing much other than sitting. I also realized that I'm very out-of-shape and overweight (week, I already knew that).
    I've started a healthier eating plan and this week I added in exercise.
    To be honest, for some reason I can't commit to 20-30 minutes at a time (right now), so I've committed to 3 10-minute workouts daily.
    This one started my day and I really feel it--even though I only did it once!

    I've only done a few sessions of weight training at the gym a couple of years ago and did not like it. This is so much better! I had some 1.5 kg weights at the ready. Couldn't even do the whole routine with those!!! Haha ... I'm going to see how much I progress in one month. So happy to have found your channel, Lauren. Thank you :)

    Just did the 2800 step walk plus your stretch video and loved it. I just bought a set of kettlebells. 5,10,15 lbs. I see you have short video with dumbell but not a kettlebell and I want to make sure I am holding it correct so I don't hurt myself.

    I just subscribed! I used to work out everyday as a stay at home mom. But since I been working a full time job since August, I have neglected myself. I think I can handle 10 minutes a day if it's a beginner workout. I used 5 lbs weights. I might be feeling it tomorrow but I don't mind lol

    I’ve been doing your routines everyday with my mom. Idk about senior but I get destroyed the same way my mom does and I’m 32 🤣. I do use more weight but the exercises are wonderful and easy to understand.

Though I hope I don't sound too midwestern :) I've spent many years of my life also in the South as well as the west coast, so maybe that has thinned my accent out ;)
