This was the best video I have seen on explaining the process of maintenance after a ceramic coating. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience.
I watched at least ten vids on mantenance ceramic coatings and now i got lucky and found your channel. First honest and detailed explanation on this topic! You got a new sub and greetings from Slovenia.
The best and most honest ceramic coating video ever. Thank you for taking your time to explain realistically what to do to maintain my coating and what I can expect from it.
Thie video is Gold. So much information. I loved it. Taking care of our car is an expensive affair. So many products and they are not cheap in my part of the world. But I love taking care of my car and people like you help me do it the right way. Thank you so much for all your efforts to share your knowledge with us.
The hydrophobic properties are amazingly insane after 3 years! One thing i've learned from watching this video is to not be afraid of trying some of the harsher chemicals as long as it's needed and in a safe manner. Thanks for this video Sandro!
This video is amazing Sandro! I maintain my ceramic coating EXACTLY like you show and explain here. It feels good having these procedures confirmed by the true professional here. This is an incredibly educational and well thought out video. Huge applause to you! 👏
Appreciate your video, this is exactly what i'm looking for. Thank you for the education, and when you said that car is 10years old looking that good, had a hard time believing it but also goes to show proper upkeep goes a long way.
Great video. It will be one I will recommend to as many people as I can to show them how to properly care for ceramic coatings. In the UK and north America, not enough importance is given to mineral deposits and their affect upon coatings beyond the look of water spots. As you have shown, after road film, it should be the first consideration why a coating may have slowed down. Too many people think a coating has died and bad mouth it when it is just smothered in almost invisible minerals OR the common attempt to revive coatings with toppers on top of these deposits, eventually creating a stratigraphy of minerals and toppers killing their coating. Your video is so helpful to show how well a clean coating can perform.
Love this car! Nice to see the 3 year update. I'm very impressed with the state of your coat after so long. The coating I applied was already more gone after a year... Probably because of all the rain here
As an sucker for coating, I love to test and enjoy the waterproofing of coatings more than what they give, and I have found out that after just having a car sit for weeks in bad weather in rain, plants and nature nearby, I notice that the coatings last on on the parts on the sides such as the doors than on the top birds eye view of the car(it’s due to low angle as water is less likely to stick), as it normally gets the most damage, for example I used Meguiar’s liquid wax on a car and in one weeks time of only sitting, the top boot part was not beading, but where the badge bit is where it’s mostly covered by the spoiler, it still beads to this day and I think it was 4-5 months ago which is crazy, so this video is very useful for showing regular maintenance helps maintain the coating
just about to apply my first coating today ( Gyeon ONE evo), this video couldn't have come at a better time! thanks heaps Sandro, keep up the good work mate!
Man this was right on time for me. I just started doing coatings about a year and a half ago. I have noticed my first vehicle I did doesn't have the clarity it once had. It spends a lot of it's life inside, but gets driven a lot too. I'm going to try this process. Really appreciate it!
great video This is a testament to you preparation back 3.5 years ago. If you put the time in then you will be rewarded with a long lasting coating that will stand the test of time and all weathers My boss had a coating but it did not last as long as it should have I told him not to wash the car with TFR but if i am off or not avaiable MY boss gets someone else to do it they will use TFR plus its not a safe wash due to bad technique Now he is paying the price for bad washing I told my boss it takes work to keep a coating working well and stand the test of time at the end of the day its his car i can only do what i can do and advise its down to him keep the great videos coming IN sandro we trust
Some things I'd like to emphasize; If any of you have a coating that's still supposed to be performing well but you have large areas (usually horizontal panels) that are "clogged up" so to speak and aren't beading like they should, even after thoroughly decontaminating the paint, try giving the whole car a nice wipedown with an acid scale remover. (Sandro pretty much covered this in the video) That's been my go-to when a coating is clogged, even if it doesn't visually have water spots. The acid will give the paint a VERY deep clean and in my experience, revives the coating back up with insane beading, amazing gloss AND slickness. You shouldn't be doing this mega often, just as needed. The most important thing to keep a coating lasting as long as possible is washing it often! Letting dirt build up is what kills any protection, including coatings. If you wash your car religiously weekly, even if it sleeps outside, you'll get many years of strong performance from your coating. It'll last longer than you can hold in your craving to polish the car. If you wait months in between washes always, your coating won't last too long. What a coincidence, I also have a coating on my daily (since 2019) and I'll be polishing it off and applying a new one shortly. I had told you back when CQuartz SiC came out that I'd do the UK base with the SiC top but I ended up putting it off and using those coatings in other cars. Now I've made time for my car because the horizontal panels had been etched with SOMETHING (idk what, I live in a crowded neighborhood with bad neighbors) I was afraid cuz the paint looked very dry, but it polished right off and I sprayed it with reload while I wait for my Gyeon Syncro Evo to arrive in the mail. I was surprised at how easily EVERYTHING came off with just a light polish with perfect finish and a rupes yellow pad. Literally a flawless finish with only a few imperfections like rock chips and a little section of a deep scratch here and there. Can't wait to try out the new Syncro. If it beads like the original but doesn't last just 6 months and instead at LEAST a year, then I'll be happy with it. Thanks for the entertainment Sandro :) Had many more things to say but I've already made an unacceptably long post hehe.
Ahh seeing this Alfa brings a tear to my eye. And a smile to my wallet. Had a love/hate relationship with mine I just sold ! Do t miss the mechanic bills but do miss blowing ricers from the lights Great vid man 🤌🤌🙏👊🙌
Great video and insight into coatings and there maintenance - absolutely awesome Sandro💯👍 Fully agree that 10 year and lifetime coatings are nothing but hype and marketing BS. Glad to see someone speaking the truth about coatings!
The car is actually 15yrs old but I bought it 10yrs ago. For me it was one of the most beautiful cars I’d ever seen and it was a dream to one day own it 🙂
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing 15 years old!!??? For 15 years ago, that really must have been a B E A utiful car. It's looks beautiful even today. And you've maintained it like.... I don't have the words. That's actually amazing.
Hey mate I own a carwash and I understand washing using the 2 bucket method, it’s not fair to assume that all carwashes have no idea on how to wash a car I offer a completely safe washing service that is seperate to a typical carwash service! Big fan of your videos and I’m trying to change the stereotype That hand carwashes damage paint!
That’s a fair call and I agree that not every car wash damages paint there are a few exceptions, and I think it’s great you’re trying to change the norm.
Super useful tips here, thanks Sandro. I'm applying CQuartz UK to my car fairly soon so this'll be handy to refer back to. Side note, your Brera is absolutely stunning. Black with the strawberries & cream interior - and so perfectly kept. Makes me miss my 159!
Thank you. Great content and I could listen to the sound of your voice all day. Great content on ceramic coating as I just did CSL and EXO to my new Model Y. It’s been about two weeks was going to add a coat of Technician Choice Ceramic detailed as a drying aid after a Bilthamber Touchless prewash and mild contact wash. But might give the coatings more time to cure since their garaged.
Hey Sandro! Man that car still looks awesome 👏🏾 Thanks for this video. It definitely helps give me/us a great routine to follow to maintain and get the most out of coatings or any protection for that matter. I’m hoping you and the family are well. Cheers mate ☕️
Great video Sandro! I thought I knew everything I'm doing with my car (after having you as a teacher), but it is very needed information to remind yourself several tricks, things and technics! I will never say your car is 10 year old - looking extremely nice! Looking forward for CarPro Blackout long term review. An I like the spacious feeling in your new place, I hope you enjoy it! Cheers from Sweden. P.S: I am snowfoaming directly to the dry vehicle:-)
Wow what a great complete video on how to maintain a ceramic coating on a car. Your explanation is excellent, thank you very much for this video. I personally think that all the preparations and polishing are the most important for the shine. The advantages of a coating over a wax is longer and slightly better protection, but it is worth the $3000 if you cannot do it yourself. If you have enough money of course, otherwise you could perhaps also opt to wax the car twice a year?
I usuallly decon like rust remover first after shampoo and clay bar it then prep spray before ceramic sealant. iI find it that way better removing all stubborn dirt.
Hi Sandro, some great take-aways here fella, thank you, will make sure every coated car/owner that leaves here has studied your 'wash tutorial' & will be tested to make sure. Doing it for love I can get away with these things. Current project : one of very few 2000 Honda 3.2 NSX in Imola Orange (as rare as rocking horse droppings) which will get Gyeon Pure Evo. Take care fella, wishing you health & happiness, now where did I leave that filthy sponge?
Best of luck with the NSX, sounds like it will be a very rewarding colour to detail and I’m sure you’ll know I it out of the park - especially with that filthy sponge 🙂
Another great video sir!!! Very well presented and explained, it is hard for me to explain to my customers the importance of maintenance wash. Great job buddy! 👌🏻👏👏
Thanks for sharing your technical maintenance of ceramic coating I use the same method on my coating car as well No issue at all!!! Have a great 2022 year Sandro JF from France
Yeah great info but for someone that has access to gear and a personal driveway or garage, I live in a condo and U can forget this maintenance, Rinsless wash for me only, and decon at a touch less wash without 3 times spraying it with different acidity or alkaline shampoos, for me it's overkill. But a good and informative video, cheers
What do you recommend instead as the next BEST thing? I do not want to be forced into running after water spots and having the fear of etching into the ceramic coating. I prefer applying a new coating every few months which will give me zero headaches. Man thanks for your vids because you tell it like it is.
A good paint sealant/spray coating sounds like what you’re after - there’s lots around - some of my favourites are Nv Nova BoostV2, PolishAngle High Gloss and Meguiar’s Hybrid Paint Protection.
Great video 👍👍👍 aaaaand awesome beading 😍 I am a sucker for coatings and tight beading. Walked by a white Model Y today with some very tight beads on the hood and almost entered the persons property to inspect it 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve noticed sometimes you use NV Purify for your decontamination, and sometimes you use Iron X. If Purify is a 2 in 1, and Iron X is only a spray treatment, why do you use Iron X sometimes, as opposed to Purify? Thanks for all your help!
Sometimes I may be just wanting to address fallout/metal particles specifically- which is what iron-x is best at. Other times I may be wanting to treat iron and traffic contamination as well as strip older waxes/sealants which Purify is better at - addressing more broad contamination - as well as being able to use it as a clay lubricant.
When doing a touchless wash, you should start at the bottom, so that you wash with the soap and not just rinse it all away. Just make sure to end the rinse top to bottom. It also makes it easier to see where you have been, when starting from the bottom.
Yeah agree on that one, and during a pre wash of a very dirty car in our conditions, I'd guess Sandro's conditions are slightly different hence him doing the opposite. That's the only bit I'd do differently, based on my conditions where during winter the lowers and rear of the car are filthy.
As always, great instruction and presentation. Do you have a step by step video on reapplying a new ceramic coating after the previous one has expired or lived it intended life span?
Thanks and there’s really nothing you need to do different in coating a vehicle initially or re-coating it again down the track. Just a good decontamination process followed by an appropriate correction process and the coating application.
Sandro. Hope all is radical. Watched again. So I’m mobile. I will be adding a water treatment set up. What do you reckon… use the systems treated water in between rinse processes or could I save resin and use treated water on the final rinse only ? For my coatings/prep I bought a 10x20 enclosed ezUp tent that I’ll also be using in the process when deemed appropriate.Right on dude. Cheers 🤘🏼
I think the main thing is not to allow the water to dry as that’s when spots occur, so you could get away with use the DI water fur the final rinse if you keep re-wetting during the process, but on really hot days it can be hard to avoid so you may want to stick to DI water in those circumstances.
Another great video Sandro. I’d love to hear your thoughts on toppers for ceramic coating, I have been using Beadmaker as a drying agent / topper and the car looks amazing and easier to clean.
Thanks and I think that’s really the main thing you just pointed out. If the topper doesn’t seem to inhibit the coating, mesh well with it and you’re having a great experience that’s what really matters.
As always, very informative and well produced video. Couple questions: the alkaline soap before the acidic soap is a great idea for periodic maintenance washes and I’ve been doing this for a while. What about a pre detail wash? Alkaline snow/acidic bucket? Or x2 alkaline? I’m coating a car that lives outside soon. I note you say do not put anything on a fresh coating for 24/48hrs and nothing heavier for a month. Plan was to put Boost on 8 hrs later before sending it back outside and then Jet 30 days later. Perhaps not ideal but lesser of two evils applying Boost so quickly?
I think if you’re dealing with both traffic film and mineral deposits then an alkaline foam follow by an acid hand wash would be a generally good way to go - but that’s really based on what the maintenance contamination on the vehicle is. If you know the vehicle won’t have cover after it’s coated then Boost 48hrs is the lesser evil, if you can try and IR or UV cure it as much as possible before hand and I think Jet a month later will be a great option especially for a car stored outside.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I agree in terms of the washing! 48hrs does make sense, I’d just be worried about rain in those 48hrs with unpredictable weather here these days. Also, In not being able to wash the car it may be a bit dirty to Boost after being outside for 48hrs 🤷🏻♂️ no access to IR but depending on the weather I guess it will get a fair bit of UV curing!
For weekly maintenance/toppers what is the best option, something like carpro reload or a quick detailer like meguiars hybrid ceramic detailer I reload a couple weeks ago on my coated car and noticed some lower panels kinda fast sheeting on my recent wash this past weekend so now idk if i should be using once per month or don't use it at all and instead use hybrid ceramic detailer after every wash, btw its been raining here for the past 2 weeks You should do a video and ceramic coating toopers 😊
SiO2 based QDs are a better option for more regular applications, Meguiars ceramic could be a good choice, one of my favourites is Nv Boost and the new Boost V2
Hi Sandro!! I took your advice, and coated my car with CQUK for the 1st layer & CQ SiC for the 2nd layer. Great results! Now I've been on holiday, and now the front of the car is covered in bugs... to top it off it was extremely hot for the whole week. Can I use a bug remover at this early stage of the coatings life? It is on now for almost 4 weeks. The 1st wash is coming up. Any advice for those bugs? Thnx man, as always. 😊
I think something like BugOut will be fine to use (it’s not as aggressive as some other bug and tar removers) I’d just see what my pre wash foam and pressure washer can firstly get off on their own and then if need be use the bug remover.
Hey Sandro... another great video that gave me the motivation to carry out a decon clean on my Nova Evo coated amarok using an alkaline snow foam and iron removers in the wash. I was expecting to see the inproved coating properties after each step and instead I have seen that the coating has all but disappeared after the wash on the middle to lower panels of the car. The coating was applied in october last year (following the processes in your video) so have only seen approx 5 months of durability, I am a DIYer but very thorough (at least i thought so). The car is a outside parked daily driver but very well cared for. Wondering if you have any insights on the breakdown of the coating as it seemed to fail suddenly primarily on these lower (admittedly dirtiest) panels.
I’m sorry to hear that mate, but it does sound like it’s failing if the deep cleaning didn’t revive it. It’s really hard for me to say why as there’s so many variables that could be the cause. I’d personally try putting something like Nove Jet on top and seeing how that goes over the next few months as sometimes it can help in repairing and reconditioning a coating, but if it just returns to the same state then it unfortunately means the coating has diminished.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks Sandro. Helpful as always. The car does get some minimal dirt road and and beach driving use but always rinsed and cleaned afterwards... I will be ordering some more Nova Evo when stock is available to try again as it was a pleasure to apply and use. Will give Nova boost a go too. Has been absolutely lathered in Bowden's happy ending too since curing.... Maybe they aren't compatible. Thanks for the help. Love the vids.... Keep it up....
Great as always sandro , i have a question i have a gyeon durabead on my car and have 4 years , it had always been well kept but i had a trouble with some minor micromarring and i used the essence plus with a rupes white pad speed 1, lookwise its awesome but it seems like the coat became clogged and does not bead like it , i have triet gyeon restart with no luck any tips?
Thanks and generally Essence Plus’s filling and sealing finish will inhibit the coating over the short term which is why it should be topped with a hydrophobic spray sealant/coating a few hours later. But the general idea is that when Essence Plus and that top sealant diminishes a few month later the coating’s behaviour should come back if the coating itself is still in good order - but this unfortunately isn’t always the case with older coatings and it’s always a bit of a gamble.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing oh i see most likely is that because the car is a weekend drive so no real damage to even the essence is probably still degrading a bit , thank you so much :)
Sandro, another magnificent video, I have watched 4 times already 👍🤗. This is my favorite Alfa, I wish it was available in the states. As a professional detailer I hate to show my ignorance but my question is this. I understand alkaline (high pH) soaps I use plenty of them for all the purposes you mentioned but I'm not sure what you meant by an acid foam wash (low pH?). Can you recommend a brand and soap that you would consider to be the acid wash foam that may or may not be available here in the United states? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you mate, and the acid wash abs foam I used was Carpro Descale which is certainly available in the States. Here’s a video I did on it a little while ago: ruclips.net/video/8K9YmAyFmCo/видео.html
I just bought a Brera and stumbled on this video, would love to give it this special treatment. I’m in Melbourne, do you offer this service to customers?
my car is in the curing process. I understand to wipe off bird poo or bug splatter with hot water or a ceramic spray during the period. but what about bee poo (the small yellow orange dots). should I wipe that or leave until my first wash? is it worth the contact....
What i am interesred in asking you Sandro regards the iron removers. They are definitely safe to use but is it worth noting that upon their reaction with iron the solution turns from pH neutral to around a pH of 7?
HI Sandro Jeremy here I have emailed you a few times. Thank you very much for this informative video mate I really appreciate it. Sandro you know the problems I am having regarding my ceramic coating dealership. I think I sent you the video of my vehicle and how only a few weeks after the coating it has lost it's hydrophobicity. It is still the same mate what do you recommend I do to bring this hydrophobicity back? I am taking the shonky business to court regarding the terrible job he did on my vehicle. He will not give me proof of product he used I asked and paid for the premium Graphene Ceramic Coating. He will not give me his warranty as I have tried to take my vehicle back because of it losing it's hydrophobicity. When washing the vehicle like you showed Sandro letting the mitts and product do the work no pressure from day 1 the cloths have dragged over the surface not gliding nice and smoothly as a ceramic coating should allow. Keep safe and keep up the great work Sandro thank you for your help.
Unfortunately it sounds like the coating itself has failed, so I would be surprised if this process would help as this is really about reviving a coating rather than fixing a failed application which generally requires removing and reapplying the coating.
Hey Sandro, thanks for the video its really helpfull to me! I have a question: Carpro and Gyeon state that after you apply a new ceramic coating you also apply a layer of a spray sealant (such as reload) to "protect" the coating during its curing time. Is this a good idea to do or leave the coating without any toppers during its curing time ? Isnt reload then not masking the coating its performance even though its recommendend by the manufacturer?
I would try to avoid using that top coat during the initial curing stages and only use it if the car is outside during bad weather, but even then, I tend to use something like Reload at 1:1 or 1:2 water if I had to.
hey! awesome video as always. i have a question. i got my car ceramic coated and its first wash is due after 2 days. but unfortunately there was rain in my area and now my car has drops all over it and they also dried up on the car. i am worried whether this would damage the ceramic coating or leave water spots. should i really wait 2 more days for the first wash ?
I would just give it good pressure rinse down (with using any detergents) to remove any dirt, blow dry it and then just a quick detailer (maybe one made but the same brand of your coating) to hopefully remove the water spots. If you get to water spots quickly they are generally far easier to remove, and the first week or two after a coating has been applied is always when it’s most susceptible, so it’s best to try and avoid or deal with water spots quickly during that period.
I think rinse-less is a great option when water, environment, and logistical challenges are present but it does have its limitations especially when a vehicle is extremely dirty. A pressure washer pre-clean just has so many benefits is safely removing dirt before a physical hand wash that just can’t be overlooked. If the vehicle isn’t all that dirty then rinse-less or water-less can be a great option
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks Sandro! I’ve been bouncing between the two methods and haven’t found it to be more efficient outside of skipping the rinse after washing the vehicle. Just curious what your thoughts were.
hey bro. my mrs is getting a new car and the dealer is going to put a ceramic coat on it. i got it for a really good deal compared to the original price. But ive already told them i wont take a shit finish. This is going to be fun. so just wondering what you think of dealer ceramic coat applications. PS its so refreshing to see a detailer drive a very well looked after car.
I’m sure there’s a few dealerships out there that provide great ceramic coatings, but unfortunately 99% of them in my experience are appalling and basically cheap low grade products applied by employees that unfortunately don’t have the training to know how to do it. It’s something that really hurts the car coating industry and the detailers that are doing the right thing.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing they have a guy apparently that is really good. 1 out of many at the dealership. He said he will do it. He also said I can pay him extra and he will bring in his own coating product that is better than the dealership coating. You think this is a sign of this guy knowing a bit more than usual
Great video, Sandro I covered my car with carpro uk 3.0 two layers and a layer of sic, but I've noticed that when a type of clay falls, I think it's bird pee or something from a bird, because the sap of I find it difficult to be a tree, there is an engraving on the coating. This is very strange because it seems to stain the coating, feces of other birds of another type does not stain, but this specific clay that looks like a coconut with pee leaves marks, have you seen that?. thanks
Thanks, but I can’t say I’ve seen that specifically, though I have seen boo or bat pop more generally etching coatings certainly. It sounds very annoying, but I guess the only thing to do is try and remove it as quickly as possible, but also try and take comfort that the coating should really prevent it from etching into the paint, so that once you’re really to remove the coating, those stain will hopefully come off with the coating itself.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Yes, it's very annoying, I usually take it out when I see it, but there are some places that I end up not seeing and then the engraving remains, even more so if I go out for dinner at night, then I only see the other day. I'm thinking about using Elixir more often to see if that helps. What do you think ? thanks
Thanks Sandro for the video this will come in handy in a few months! Do you have any tips on which ceramic to pick? I have two in mind but know very little of them both. CarPro CQuartz Finest Reserve or Nova Pro? Cheers!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you before the link to this video again Sandro, I have question: If a a pro ceramic is coated on the car and i use say Nova Boost/Jet/Lustre. Would that mask the superior properties of Nova Pro? as u layer a inferior coating ontop of the pro nova? This is a scenario i look to many washes down the track and want to know about those little details! Thanks Sandro!
There’s always at least some masking in the short term with anything that goes over a coating, but a good well performing coating will tend to reject and remove it much quicker compared to applying it over bare paint. The main benefit is that it helps the coating underneath age better with sacrificial layers being applied from time to time and if those products also have great hydrophobic abilities there shouldn’t be a negative performance effect.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Awesome since finally my new car arrived and its getting Nova Pro, should i stick with applying boost to it from time to time or Nova Jet? :D
Do you think using carpro reset to wash my coated car weekly is a good idea or should i only use it maybe once per month and instead use a wax safe shampoo with no additives for weekly maintenance
Reset is fantastic for coated cars, though it can slowly impact less durable waxes and sealants over time, but it won’t harm a coating in the least. If you have any less durable toppers on the coating, then yes maybe using it once a month and using something a little lighter can be a good general technique, but I honestly wouldn’t be too worried.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you, Sandro, for your very helpful tips - I was hoping you'd do a video on this topic. I was thinking, too, how something like Reset fits into the maintenance routine. I applied Cquartz SiC over UK 3.0 6 months ago, and really loved the slick feel at first. It's not quite as slick now. I'm wondering if (after doing an intensive clean) applying Reset would retain the properties of the coating (like Nv Boost when applied sparingly), or would it change it to the properties of Reset (good, but not as slick)? I'm using Nv Boost now after every hand wash (and like it), but wondering if the coating is ready for something more intensive like Reset. Your comment that it won't do harm is assuring, but I'm just curious as to what result to expect, based on your experience?. Or is there no additional benefit to using Reset if I'm using Boost regularly?
Well Reset is really only going to clean the coating and really not leave a thing behind like Boost. I think if the slickness of the coating isn’t as slick as you’d like it then Boost is definitely going to do that, but Reset can still play a bit part in maintaining it.
This was the best video I have seen on explaining the process of maintenance after a ceramic coating. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience.

Thank you mate
Great to hear that and thanks, I hope it’s helpful to many.
That's truly a "bella" Alfa. Outstanding work my friend!
This was an excellent video. Really clear and comprehensive instruction, without all the cruft and dreadful music/editing many others add.

Great to hear that mate and I’m sure you’ll do a fantastic job!
Man this was right on time for me. I just started doing coatings about a year and a half ago. I have noticed my first vehicle I did doesn't have the clarity it once had. It spends a lot of it's life inside, but gets driven a lot too. I'm going to try this process. Really appreciate it!
Thanks Sandro for all your wonderful videos. They have proven to be a wonderful source of useful information for me.
God bless
Thank you Angelo, very nice to hear that and greatly appreciate the support mate, God bless
great video This is a testament to you preparation back 3.5 years ago.
That’s exactly right and good advise which extends to many thing in life - you get out what you put in. Thanks mate!
Excellent video again I’ll be referring to it several more times in the future
Do t miss the mechanic bills but do miss blowing ricers from the lights
Great vid man 🤌🤌🙏👊🙌
Absolutely brilliant 🤩and your 10yr old car is proof of your level of expertise 👌
Love this video Sandro will be great to send to people to explain how to safely wash their coated cars! you are the man.
OK, Sandro is here, so, NO fast forwarding! 😊Another great tutorial Sandro!
Great video and insight into coatings and there maintenance - absolutely awesome Sandro💯👍
Fully agree that 10 year and lifetime coatings are nothing but hype and marketing BS.
Glad to see someone speaking the truth about coatings!
This car in the video is 10 years old!! What!! That's unbelievable. That's a video in itself, how you took care of it from day 1.
As always, you've published exactly the thorough and insightful information I needed!!! Thank you Sandro!!
Sandro yet another radical lesson. Thank you !!
thanks for the comprehensive analysis
Anytime you upload.. I'm clicking! Amazing work as always sir!
Awesome video. Love your work and high quality videos.
Great to see you’re enjoying the new video uploads and my best wishes to you and your family.
Hi sir, im from indonesia and very liked your content.. Keep it educated 🙏
Very informative my friend. Thank you for sharing your detailing knowledge.
Love your vids
Thx for great input.
Thumbs up from Stockholm sweden!

Another great video sir!!!
Very well presented and explained, it is hard for me to explain to my customers the importance of maintenance wash.
Great job buddy!

Love black and love that car! Great video! 🖤
Thanks for the tips Sandro.
Very informative as usual 👏
Thanks for sharing your technical maintenance of ceramic coating
I use the same method on my coating car as well
No issue at all!!!

Thank you mate!
Don't mind me, just back for a refresher!
🙂
Excellent video as always.
Great video, love that you still have the Brera
Thanks and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to part with it 🙂
Yeah great info but for someone that has access to gear and a personal driveway or garage, I live in a condo and U can forget this maintenance, Rinsless wash for me only, and decon at a touch less wash without 3 times spraying it with different acidity or alkaline shampoos, for me it's overkill. But a good and informative video, cheers
Great video, always super informative. Please do one on how to remove coatings next!
I love your videos. You give such great details and explain where anyone can understand. 👍🏽 oh yeah I’m sure your car doesn’t have any swirls lol.
Great video👍🏼💪🏼💯
Outstanding video! The claim for 9 years coatings these days by the manufactures. 🤣
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I was thinking of going with TURTLE WAX Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Flex Wax. Do you have an opinion on it?
Yes I think that could be a great option
Is this the new shop? Yo that wash bay is fire!🔥🔥
Yes sir
Great video 👍👍👍 aaaaand awesome beading 😍
I am a sucker for coatings and tight beading.
Thank you kindly!
Super👌🏻😎✨
Love the last bit. 30 year coatings and triple lifetime warrantys, it’s all bs. Keep the videos coming
Excellent
For weekly maintenance/toppers what is the best option, something like carpro reload or a quick detailer like meguiars hybrid ceramic detailer
I reload a couple weeks ago on my coated car and noticed some lower panels kinda fast sheeting on my recent wash this past weekend so now idk if i should be using once per month or don't use it at all and instead use hybrid ceramic detailer after every wash, btw its been raining here for the past 2 weeks
You should do a video and ceramic coating toopers 😊
Here’s a video I did on it a little while ago:

I just bought a Brera and stumbled on this video, would love to give it this special treatment. I’m in Melbourne, do you offer this service to customers?
Yes, my email contact is in the about page of this channel
That's really good maintenance advice, do you think you can apply the same principles over a PPF ceramic coated car?
Thank and yes you can, but I would expect the PPF to be even easier to maintain , but the same principles apply.
nice video.what can I do to remove water spots on a coated car
Sorry mate, I hit the wrong button 👎🏼 by accident. My bad…. As always I love your videos and solid advice. Cheers Sandro!
my car is in the curing process. I understand to wipe off bird poo or bug splatter with hot water or a ceramic spray during the period. but what about bee poo (the small yellow orange dots). should I wipe that or leave until my first wash? is it worth the contact....
I won’t worry too much about some random bug poo but if it’s a lot then yes I would tend to remove it
What i am interesred in asking you Sandro regards the iron removers. They are definitely safe to use but is it worth noting that upon their reaction with iron the solution turns from pH neutral to around a pH of 7?
7 is the neutral reading/position of the pH scale so that sounds normal mate, a pH of 1 is highly acidic and 14 is high on the alkaline side.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing i’m sorry lol when it reacts it reads a pH of 3 not 7
I’d guess that’s the dissolved metal particles and potentially other surface contamination mixing with the iron remover altering its pH.
What is your opinion on using a touchless drive thru carwash with no brushes?
I’m not a fan - they tend to use harsh chemicals that won’t do you paint, trims or coating any favours
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks Sandro
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing
How often you a decon wash be done is every 3 months ok?
Thanks
hey! awesome video as always. i have a question. i got my car ceramic coated and its first wash is due after 2 days. but unfortunately there was rain in my area and now my car has drops all over it and they also dried up on the car. i am worried whether this would damage the ceramic coating or leave water spots. should i really wait 2 more days for the first wash ?
I would just give it good pressure rinse down (with using any detergents) to remove any dirt, blow dry it and then just a quick detailer (maybe one made but the same brand of your coating) to hopefully remove the water spots. If you get to water spots quickly they are generally far easier to remove, and the first week or two after a coating has been applied is always when it’s most susceptible, so it’s best to try and avoid or deal with water spots quickly during that period.
Thanks Sandro! What are your thoughts on rinseless washes? Are the better than a good quality soap?
Hello my friend, should the alkaline shampoo always be used before the acid shampoo where that is of little importance?. Thank you in advance.
Yes, based on my own testing I always seem to get better results starting with alkaline and then using acid rather than the other way around.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks 👍
hey bro. my mrs is getting a new car and the dealer is going to put a ceramic coat on it. i got it for a really good deal compared to the original price.
Say no.. Don't waste your money on anything dealership applied.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing they have a guy apparently that is really good. 1 out of many at the dealership. He said he will do it. He also said I can pay him extra and he will bring in his own coating product that is better than the dealership coating. You think this is a sign of this guy knowing a bit more than usual
It’s really hard for me to say mate
Yes how to wash a ceramic coated car in the windy weather? ;-)
👌
What do you think ? thanks
I think have extra and regularly applied sacrificial layers can only help so it worth trying it.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I'll try with elixir one x a month, in a few months I'll be back to give you a feedback, hugs and have a nice weekend.
should the first wash be with ph neutral or use carpro reset shampoo?
Reset is PH Neutral so yes it can be used for the first wash
how about using nv snow for pre wash foam and carpro reset as bucket wash?
That’s absolutely fine
Thanks Sandro for the video this will come in handy in a few months!
Do you have any tips on which ceramic to pick? I have two in mind but know very little of them both.
CarPro CQuartz Finest Reserve or Nova Pro?
Cheers!
They are both fantastic coatings so I think you’ll be happy either way
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you before the link to this video again Sandro,
I have question: If a a pro ceramic is coated on the car and i use say Nova Boost/Jet/Lustre.
I’d just leave it with nothing to start with then use Boost after a month and maybe Jet after 3-6mths
any ppf protection tips?
Unfortunately I don’t do PPF
Question do you apply the iron x n tar x before or after the the wash 🧼????
After
Ok thanks bud 🙏
@@CarCraftAutoDetailingDoes the order of which chemical matter?
@GoTMLGo1967 no it doesn’t
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you!
