If detailing was a Uni course, you'd be the head professor!
Heckler
And if detailing was an Olympic sport he’d win Gold.
I’ve been machine polishing now for well over ten years but I still like to watch videos on other people’s techniques to see if there is anything else I could learn and that last tip will massively come in handy, so thank you for that.
Great video 👌🏻
Me too i have been Detailing cars for 17yrs. The last tip it was Amazing i never knew that. The day u stop learning THAT'S the day we die.!!! Thx for all ur hard work !!!
Sandro, you are the only detailer I've ever heard mention performing an IPA wipe prior to machine polishing. That speaks volumes.
This is exactly why I love this channel. We are blessed with a source of information and inspiration. Absolutely fantastic guide. Thank you for taking your time to show us your methods and creating vids for us.
The last tip is the best advice you’ll receive, it will get you out of a really tricky spot if you’re finding it hard finishing out. I know I’ve been there, soft black paint can really humble you, leave you ego and emotion at the door. Thanks Sandro!
Countless videos, searching out podcasts and finally, my search for my type of standards of teaching and lessons have paid off in finding you. Thank you
It’s one thing to be a great detailer, but to be able to explain and demonstrate technique so that us amateurs can understand is next level!
Used it for the first time last weekend definitely worth buying if you're a person who likes detailing your own car recommend first time to use on lowest setting 800 so you don't burn paint don't leave in one spot keep moving it over paint easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 truck looks like new again used maguires black light battery life like all milwaukee products seem to hold up well 😀
My go-to video on RUclips for polishing soft paint
I'm genuinely, mind blown. I don't think I've ever heard/seen/met a tutor as good as you. The way you explain, demonstrate is filling me with confidence in tackling my own projects.
I'm a little late to the party but this is easily the best video I''ve watched on the subject of polishing soft paint! Well done!
Thanks Sandro, greetings from Polish Police 💪
We sit at the feet of the Master. Thank you; simply excellent.
"Doctor Sandro"-The Maestro of Magic when it comes to paint correction and detailing!
This was very insightful. I learned that im likely dealing with hard/normal paint and not soft paint like i originally thought
The tip about blowing out the pad then going back to Jewel it is absolutely fantastic! This is my first very serious paint correction and this tip really helped me. My car has super soft black paint and it's been rough, 45hrs wrapped into it, but almost done. Thank you for the excellent instructions.
This whole channel is a serious tutorial! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏾
My guy this is perfect. I'm planning on paint correcting my Subaru this spring and that paint is hell soft.
Wow!!
You're videos are second to none. Totally informative, meticulous and easy to follow. Thanks again.
I am just starting to learn correction and this guy has saved me endless hours into the trail and error stages...
Definitely the best paint correction video I've seen. Kept it simple and good explanation.
Sandro, you are a master! I've never used a DA polisher and am trying to get my nerve up to try it. My wife and I both have Asian vehicles with soft paint (Toyota and Mazda), so this was SO helpful! Hopefully I'll get my nerve up soon and give it a go.
Very late comment from me. I have gone back and watched some in depth videos. We have a metallic graphite lexus at home. I have always struggled to get good results and no swirls. This video helps a lot like all your videos Sandro.
Thanks from Brazil! i am about to ceramic coat a black soft car paint tomorrow , i just speed a full day trying find the right setup for that paint, now that i watch this masterclass, things makes more sense . Thank You
My hat off to you Sir for sharing this detailed info about soft paint techniques. Thank you Sandro
It's just relaxing to watch you polish cars and see the amazing results afterwards
My absolute favorite detailing channel!!
Thank you so much for all the helpful videos, Sandro. I finally installed my first ceramic coating this week. Cquartz Uk 3.0 and Gliss.
I must’ve watched your tutorials hundreds of times to make sure I was doing it right! 😂
Finally! Your channel is back. More quality videos to come, Sandro. Greetings from the Philippines.
Thank you for the video. Now feel a tad more comfortable to work on my 2013 black Cayenne, thanks.
this is the best polishing explanation so far 👍👍👍
This was another great tutorial, not just for soft paints but a great method as a starting point for other paints although you've covered this on your other videos always good to have a reminder, especially as I've got a second car to do an no idea what that paint is like. I love that last one about using the pad to remove the left over compound.
This video is awesome man, thank you so much for sharing this! I can't find NV products in my country sadly, I was thinking on giving Scholl Concepts S20 a shot instead. I just bought a 2018 Camry it's not as bad as the paint on the example of the video, but with a lot of swirls and scratches. Thanks again boss!
I'm rewatching this video because I just finished a Jaguar XJ with very soft Black paint. My frustration was not being able to get rid of the buffer trails I produced. So I decided to rewatch your tutorial. Praise God. I used Rupes wool yellow and DA Fine. That worked great. I learned two things after watching your video, 1 - I used to much polish, 2 - my machine was at 3.5 not 5-6 (which I just tried). Both of your techniques paid off handsomely. Now for the finish I originally used Lake Country White polish foam with a finish polish and produced high quality buffer trails. So, then I used Lake Country black foam pad and UNO pure but couldn't get rid of the halo grams to the extent I needed. Those results led me to rewatch this video and using your methods, technique and minimum polish was WUNDERBAR! By the way, instead of the Lake Country Orange, why not the Rupes Yellow foam pad? As always, you are the best of the best! Thank you so much.
It’s really fantastic to hear that the video helped you get there with want sounds like a frustrating paint, appreciate the comment mate!
Thank you so much for taking so much time to spread your knowledge. This particular video seemed to be made specifically for my area of need, so THANK YOU!
Thank you Sandro!!
Thank you Sandro for this awesome video! That little tip at the end should come in handy for a lot people watching!
so glad this came just before i polished my car. i can follow these steps as i have the exact tools and products. Cant wait to get cracking next week. Thanks Sandro.👍👍
Another fantastic video! Thank you so much for sharing such valuable information and experience, I have learned a lot with your work!
Best regards and keep up the excelent work.
So happy i stumbled across one of your videos now I’m HOOKED I just recently launched my mobile detailing business and did my first job last weekend and I can wait to do my next one soon your videos will help me a ton thanks again and be safe
Wow Sandro this is how my car paint was exactly and exactly the choices I made thanks to the questions I asked you. You must of thought of me when making this video. Legend!
If possible one day if you can show how to add toppings to soft paints without scratching it.
@@ExclusiveTint-CarDetailing please, please share those techniques.
Your videos have really helped clarify, pad, correction liquid, rpm and hand speed so many weren't clear in explaining. Especially using less compound and polish since the pad is primed. Thanks.
Thanks Again for a Great Channel you explain all your steps you do with great detail and what steps to do correct.
Car Craft: Thank you for the video. You helped me get rid of light swirls on my 2012 Subbie STI
Great to hear and you’re most welcome!
Wow those are amazing results thank you for the video very eye opening
one of the best car detailing
G- Lupe ya I am too much time watching RUclips
Thanks Sandro, great explanations and demonstrations!
The guru of detailing. Very valuable information. Thank you Sandro. Such an inspiration
One of the best instructional vids for pads, compounding/polishing!
Great tips. I am working on my Black Honda HRV and done front and driver's side and I am seeing haze. Looks like I need to clean polishing pad and go back with it to collect the 2nd stage polish residue up with a bit faster movement of hand. And of course this is my first paint correction and I get a new Honda black car with swirl marks and hard water stains. The dealer's detailer was not a pro. Swirl marks everywhere including even on window glass. Hard water edged in glass and paint at multiple places.
Hello Sandro,
Another great, informative video.👍
Greatly appreciate the trouble you go to. Keep up the good work.👍
Best detailing channel on RUclips
Wow this video is absolutely amazing. Thank you for the content.
Good on ya Sandro.. best detailing content on RUclips by a mile!! So well demonstrated and explained.
I always enjoy your content. New and old.
Best wishes to you and your family.
This channel is so underrated. Great production, great information, great testing. Thank you
Thank you so much. I'm about to do a correction on my black Mazda MX5 so this information is invaluable to me. Love your videos, keep up the quality work!
I love this guy!
16:02 wow! this moment is as beautiful as a gaseous planet orbiting its star 🌎 ⭐️ congrats Sandro you are the best
Thank you very much sir
Congrats Sandro, welcome back. Hope you got your account back
awesome video simplified the cutting and polishing technic.
Beautiful illustration...
Love all the info as always! Would love to see the same for hard paint 🤩
Yes, this is good idea! ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Sandro for another in depth instruction on polishing with soft paints. With the detailing industry so large and world wide, not just with detailing professionals as yourself, but with car enthusiast and weekend warriors, that there is no central information for the type of paint the various car manufacturer's use. As it seems to be trial and error to determine the type of paint, particularly on cars that are not very old that have had no correction done previously.
Wow, speachless after 14:48
good to see you back!
Such a great video- thank you for sharing.
Very informative, well explained and detailed. Great job.
Astonishing WORK
THANKS FOR GREAT VIDEO, IVE LEARNED ALOT , KEEP IT UP.. YOUR CONTENT HAS ACTUALLY INSPIRED ME TO START MY OWN DETAILING BUSINESS, ISSUE IS THAT ITS CRAZY EXPENSIVE IN MY COUNTRY (RSA), BUT I AINT GIVING UP..
Simple, clean, helpful. Thank you!
Wow. Great results.
Great video. I’m starting paint correction on a black Jaguar F-Pace tomorrow and nervous as hell. I hope this video helps me get it just right, as I have heard they have soft clear coat
I’m sure you’ll do great!
Greetings from Costa Rica , all your videos are AWESOME!~!! could you please make a video on how to properly polish, maintain, and care, motorcycle fairings as they are plastic? Thank you so much!!! by the way Im getting into the world of polishing and paint care , and all your videos have tough me a lot
Great video. One of my favorites.
This was an awesome video. Very well explained. I'm subscribing
That 2 step side (right) looks NEW... PS: I have an 88 MR2 with that soft Japanese paint, just like in this video, so this will help a lot.
This is great ! Im just about to do my first ever polish on my Kia Sportage GTLine. I have a Rupes 15 mk3, using their DA polish. Im going to try with the yellow fine polish and foam pad and see how i go (seeing it came in kit form) It was swirled from the dealer and Ive never dealt with it, but obviously follow best practise when it comes to washing and drying. I really like the look of the Koch Chemie polishes and pads also. This is all new to me so finding ideal pads and polish combinations is quite difficult. Then there are the finshes/ protection stage, another plethora of products. IVe not decided where to go here, so may just to traditional Carnauba wax for now. Keep up the great work!
I detail at a harley shop and they have some soft clear coat(im not a pro detailer by any means js) and its amazing how the paint looks great until you put a defect light on it and see the tiny tiny little scratches
Another excellent example how detailing should be done 👍👍
Gold!
Thanks for the great video and clear instructions!
Glad it was helpful!
thanks for sharing.
Wow! I learned a lot with just a 16 min video. Thank you so much for this!
Thank you.
Very helpful
Awesome as always!! Many thanks
Great information... Thanks for making such a marvellous video regarding Japanese paint... ❤️ From pak
Finally found one of the more detailed instructions on YT. Thank you!
My question is on the left side do you go back with the wool then another pass using foam again to even out the results with the right?
Yes, normally you do the whole area or panel which each step in sequence from start to finish.
Making it easier to understand the process used to choose and test. Thank you for such an informative video.
Another master class Sandro. Your tutorials are always so clear and well explained. But as you said, the variables can be vast from vehicle to vehicle and that’s where your videos and advice shines through (no pun intended....... or maybe just a wee one!).
Fantastic!
Excellent video Sandro. That is an amazing transformation. 👍
Very well explained Sandro! I live in a country with locally assembled Japanese/Chinese cars who's paints are way worse than usual. One steps are the main weapon of choice for me. What are your opinions on one steps ?
One step processes are a great choice, for me I still need to always do a test to see what the paint is like but if you’re constantly working on cars with the similar paint types and similar levels of defects then I’m sure you’ll find great compound and pad choices that will address most of those paints quite consistently.
great info thanks
I believe this is the kind of paint that can be found on a porsche A1 Black. I am taking away these tips:
- 2 phase Compound + Polish
- IPA
- Remove polish with a fast polish pad pass.
- Blow out residue from pads.
- When finishing, less polish is better.
Thanks so much. Now my big question is: What ceramic coat should I use from sooo many available?
Glad you found it helpful. If it’s your first ever coating application CQuartz UK 3.0 could be a great option both in ease of application and performance.
awesome video, very help full video, thanks for uploading this videos, love from india
Great !
Kudos Sandro on another brilliant information/instructional video. We appreciate the time and effort!
Awesome information! Thanks.
