Wanted to do my own kit build for a long time, biggest worry is not getting the final look quality I want. This step by step vid helps a lot to boost confidence I could make it work. Thanx!
Oh-my-God! I've been spraying all my stuff for years, including car parts that came up better than factory, but today I've learned two new things. First one is about that very light layer of paint before sanding, to mark the highs and lows, second is spraying a can to see if paint and lacquer would react. Thank you so much
Dude I need help with painting. Well prep for clear . I clear and it looks like a broken windshield. Very textured. Sand retry and same. Is there a fix or just start over?
Did you just spray 2k primer over it or did you seal it with something before primer I have a sub box I wanna eventually paint will be using all 2k paint with a spray gun
Hey man, love your videos. When i look into crazing, 9 out of 10 painters say that it occurs because we dont give the base-coat enough time to DRY before applying clearcoat. You say the opposite (to NOT wait too long before applying clearcoat). Since you've proven that your method Works, I'm now curious as to why you think most painters recommend doing the opposite of what you do? Thanks, man.
I'm not an expert, but from my experience, you have a 45 minute "window" before the enamel is dry, to either put on another coat or clear coat (with a compatible paint). If you miss that window, you'll have to wait three days or more, to ensure all out gassing is done and the enamel is cured, before you can put on another coat or clear coat.
Would not be using enamels with 2K clear!! use lacquer, acrylic lacquer, acrylics or urethane base coats over 1K or 2K primers. Then you can use 1K or 2K clears.. .

Great Content Loved when you dropped the can button and just kept pushing on, Also the test can is freaking brilliant.
Looking good - can't wait for part 3 👍
Soon! Putting together a run down of my next project.
Awesome Brad, you rock!
Thanks Javad!
What's the laminate on the speaker? I saw the prior video and I couldn't find where you identify it. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.😊😊😊

Do you have to clearcoat it almost immediately after painting
@@hifiside5066 so I have to take it down to paint and do another coat then clear ?
How much would something like that cost?
I was disappointed at first while spraying the krypton but it dried really flat..not bad so far.

Part 1 of the video series shows you what was put down before primer.
