- Have you ever asked how to scan an MRI Abdomen? MRI Technologists scan many clinical cases but the MRI abdomen can be difficult as it requires patients to participate in the MRI scan through breath holding. As technology evolved, MRI technologists are able to use respiratory gating to help capture MRI images when patients are between breaths.

Thank you so much pro
Why would you make a tutorial with a pathologic MR? Also, it would be great to have a general review on the main sequences used in the abdomen and some more advanced such as MRCP or MR urography.
Thank you, Pedro. This was our first episode. We have some more videos coming in the next several weeks and a normal MRI Abdomen is on this list! Keep your eyes peeled.
Can mri find optical fiber glass core in Stumock if someone swallowed can it be found by mri because fiber is as small as human hair tell me can be detect by mri
I have polycystic kidney disease and I just had an MRI last week. They made me have both my arms raised above me the whole test and now I'm having trouble with my shoulders and muscle spasms in my arms. Is that normal that they made me put my arms above for almost an hour? Thank you
Hi Aileen,
Technically no. Have you have shoulder issues in the past? Spasms (or peripheral nerve stimulation) would only occur during the exam and not after the exam.
I also got an mri done of my lower pelvic region. They also made me raise my arms above me. But i didn't have spasms in my arms afterwords
Arm positions vary at different hospitals. Generally speaking arms by side is perfectly fine and won’t affect image quality or obstruct any anatomy. Patient comfort should be kept as priority to ensure a smooth examination for patient.
Can you see the pancreas pretty well? What about tumors? Or cancers? Or cysts??
Yes you can. The best plane to see the pancreas is in the axial plane as you can visualize the long axis of the pancreas as the organ is horizontal in the abdominal cavity.
I hope this helps!
@@pulseradiology you can see it entirely??
Is this contrast?
