Finally I now know the face behind the mri book. Stephen J powers is an amazing writer especially for beginners .
thanks for this upload! super informational.
i’ve been using mri quiz and it’s a lot of memorization that i’ve been doing very well with BUT this video helped me have a much deeper understanding of different parameters which in turn makes memorizing easy bc i just get it!! Thank you so much. The extra time to explain things helps tremendously
I just passed my board exam 05/02/2024. I want to say thanks for whoever made this video possible. I've probably replayed completely for at least 10, adding the many other for anatomy and the Book MRI in practice the whole 10 chapters of the book.. I got a 90 preliminary score 😢🎉😮 biiiing.. 🏏
I just passed the MRI board at Doral location in Miami this morning with a preliminary score of 90. And I really just wanted to come here and tell everyone who is reading this... that this video was quintessential in my board prep. For which I thank everyone involved in the production of this video. 🎉🎉

My fiancé just passed thanks to this! She said “He is the TE is TE is TE.”

@@trinasalas2515congrats!!! any advice?
Just took my registry and PASSED!!! Amazing video to watch before your exam. So thankful I came across this. 🙌🏾🙏🏾
This was a great review lecture, well time to take the ARRT! Wish I would be able to attend your lectures Steven!
I passed my MRI boards yesterday and watched this video two times. I wanted to thank you for giving us such a great overview.
I have no experience, but I am interested in MRI and want to be admitted into a competitive MRI program. Would you say that a person with zero knowledge/background can get accepted into this modality? Or is a previous background expected for consideration of an MRI program?
On a personal note, I’m an X-ray tech that cross trained in MRI. I’m sitting for my boards in a couple days for MR. I’m also currently being cross trained into CT. So I can speak from my experience. I’ve spoken to many MRI techs that wish they would’ve started with X-ray so they could do what I’m doing.
I Just passed my ARRT yesterday! Thanks so much for your informative video, I felt like it really helped my understanding.
That is soooo great to hear!!!
you're lining up localizers all the way down to the mid chest and you don't mention anything about it lol. how can it be so bad
Thank you for this lecture. I took this course 3 years ago during the start of the pandemic. I was never able to sit for clinical (hospital had me doing xray) but am going to now. You break things down so well
Watched this yesterday and I passed my board today. This helped me alot!
Great Review Steve. I think I owe you a few cups of Coffee.
Correction: 1 Tesla = 10,000 Gauss

I did not. I did the post-primary pathway and just studied on my own.@@pa-zx5ct
@@pa-zx5ct No I studied on my own. Didn’t take any formal education for MRI.

I just want to thank you for helping me pass the registry!!!!
We are so happy to hear this!
This is great content, thanks so much. I was wondering how can I get the link to the 20 registry questions. I am ready to pay I take my test soon??
That’s exactly what I ‘m wondering? Did you get a link?
Hello, please What can I do to get the link to the 20 registry questions. I am ready to pay . Taking my test soon
Email neilhuber@pulseradiology.com
Thanks so much
Can you see the pancreas pretty well? What about tumors? Or cancers? Or cysts??
Yes you can. The best plane to see the pancreas is in the axial plane as you can visualize the long axis of the pancreas as the organ is horizontal in the abdominal cavity. I hope this helps!
@@pulseradiology you can see it entirely?? Is this contrast?
I have my first mri appointment for my elbow on Thursday, this helped me calm down a little bit :)
I take mine saturday. I failed the first time but this has been so helpful in understanding what I was not getting. So thanks! I will update you.
Excellent! We look forward to hearing about your results!
@@pulseradiology hello, please what can I do to have the link to the 20 registry question. I am ready to pay. Taking my test soon

@@heathrrose congratulations what did you use to study did you use pulse ? And what did you find most helpful for registry review and most similar to the format
@@heathrrose Heather, we are so happy you passed! Congrats!
@@erlenyglez8004 stay focused and ensure you walk through the content specifications on the ARRT website. If you haven’t tried our MRI program, I highly suggest it as we hit EVERY single point.
Hi, Sir Neil, If I'm not enrollment at Pulse Radiology, or imaging professional can I be eligible for the program?
If I comprehend correctly, you said that a post contrast coronal sequence can be constructed from the post contrast axial and sagittal T1 3D isometric sequences. Is that correct? Is this standard practice for a Brain MRI W/contrast, or do I need to request a set of post-contrast coronals? Thanks
Hi Dusty, It always depends on the imaging centers protocols that the radiologists set. But to reduce the exam time, there are pulse sequences that are 3D isometric and yes those can be reformatted. So I would run a 3D iso and then reconstruct a sagittal and coronal. I hope this helps!
@@pulseradiology Thank you. I think I get it now.
Please post more videos on how to scan other body parts and MRA’s. Thanks for sharing !!! Very helpful
Thank you.
maybe we can hear scanner noise next time :) ?
Hahaha you sure you want to hear that? May drown out my “lovely” voice over. Comment your thoughts below 👇🏼 MRI noise or silence?
@@pulseradiology ahahah I LOVE mri scanner noise. I am a regular MRI patient and the noise is the most fun. Call me a weird, but I prefer to hear the scanner sing its songs lmao
Haha, I guess you could split the difference and use the machine noise only during the silent gaps.
I really like your videos, thank you so much for sharing this. I am an MR student, and this is very helpful. could you please post more scanning video of MSK and cervical spine, thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. Where are you currently being educated?
