    Thank you for including scanner noise, it will make it less startling for patients :)

    You know what would make an mri a nicer experience? If when finished they had a nice coffee or tea ready for you.

    Had one today.. Worst thing about this is when folks walk past the room talking and you keep thinking they coming to tell you its over, but they just walking pass. This machine will also let you know if you like yourself, cause you have to do alot of self talking to keep yourself calm.

      Hi @city-bisquits, the longest breath holds in MRI are typically around 25 seconds. However, most are around 15-20 seconds.

      Hi @bharatlama2729, Mayfair Diagnostics is a medical imaging provider, not a medical clinic so we can not provide medical advice. To investigate any symptoms or concerns, you will need to see a medical doctor who may then request medical imaging. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Have a good day.

    I'm also going to have an MRI on January 31st. I hope I'm not afraid. I'm especially afraid of noises and then I tend to make sudden movements

      Hi @julierosenberg491, yes, you are more than welcome to take any anti-anxiety medication - just can't be sleeping during the scan as some of the sequences will require breath holds - so you need to be alert. Have a wonderful day!

    I'm going tomorrow to do it! My last experience was horrible, I couldn't finish cause I'm claustrophobic! And the holding of breath drives me nuts! The dr said,they have a new big machine, so I won't feel claustrophobic! Well we see.🤷‍♀️

      Hi, 90% of the time - yes. Contrast is best to see the organs - so depending on what the doctors are looking for - contrast helps.

    Is it necessary to done with empty tummy ?

    • @MayfairDiagnosticsOfficial
      @MayfairDiagnosticsOfficial  Месяц назад +1

      Hi @hayahaya1655, Yes - if there are contents in the stomach - it affects the scan in a few ways. Food increases motility, which increases motion artifact on the scan. Food also could potentially obscure any abnormalities. Finally - if we give an injection of IV contrast, and it causes nausea (which is a possible side effect), a full stomach will likely result in vomiting. I hope this helps with your question.

    I have Crohns Disease and i had MRI IV CONTRAST and I Drink 3 17 OZ CONTRAST DRINKS 1 Hour before MRI IV CONTRAST.
    Do you do Alot of Drink CONTRAST with IV CONTRAST with people with Crohns Disease????

    • @MayfairDiagnosticsOfficial
      @MayfairDiagnosticsOfficial  11 месяцев назад

      Hi @johnschirloff836,
      This would be an Enterography exam and is the only exam that the patient would both drink and have IV contrast.
      This is a common exam to perform if Crohn's is in the patient history.
      Each patients requestion is protocoled by a tech or a radiologist and is radiologist dependant on whether it be CT or MR. This is determined depending on the patient history.
