People believe that voting is anything other than illusion and are completely unwilling to stand up to their government. Due to the fear of prosecution or being ostracized by friends and family.
Hard to take someone who can't even spell Mayor seriously. And by the by, a Mayor is not going to be able to fix this city, because the problem goes well beyond that. Canada is an agricultural country, with a very few competitive industries. GTA has near 20% of the entire country's population, for no reason other than it's infrastructures. New York City is the largest financial district in the World, yet only consists fewer than 3% of the country's population. LA is the largest media district in the World, yet only consists around 1% of the entire country's population. GTA? Nothing but a peanut-sized financial district, yet 20% of the country's population. But everyone lives here, because it's one of the very few cities that actually has things like public transportation. There are no competitive jobs and industries in GTA. Only capitalists and their abilities to create jobs can fix these job crisis, but this is a province that kills capitalists and their companies because of their unfathomable tax rates, in which the federal government collects to spend on other provinces and territories that make no money, because apparently, equality is too important. They typically spend $8~9k per Ontarian on health care per year. They spend $25k~30k per person in places like Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut, because there is simply not enough supply to meet the demand, so the government has to overpay. The national average of goods and services provided per person in this country is about $2,000. They spend near $6,000 per person in Nova Scotia. If you're wondering where all your taxes go to, it's to these provinces and territories. It's simply too crowded, and the money is spent elsewhere, and nothing can be done at the city level at this point.
lol. The last thing any city needs is younger for the sake of being younger. We know that millennials and zoomers as a generation have no common sense when it comes to fiscal responsibility or accountability.
Citizens replace one of the best mayors in Canada with an incompetent mayor, complain when she makes things worse, then elect someone more incompetent. When did Mississauga become Chicago?
What an achievement ✌🤣 bringing a 70-ish years old running a city into future. Talking only about housing to win peoples hearts emotionally , what about roads? What about camera systems to limit idiots drivers? What about technology (not Trudeena's ArrivCan though!) ? What about new attestation systems that can allow professional immigrants to merge into the stoneage unionized trades (house builders/HVAC/Electrician/ Mechanics)
Every year I thank God I moved out of Mississauga 8 years ago. When Hazel started to "laud" Justin Trudeau's politics, I put a for sale sign up....this just further convinces me it was the right decision....so left wing in Mississauga, taxes under Parrish will go skyward!
