- It's a pivotal time for Mississauga as residents elect a new mayor on June 10th. Ward 7 councillor and mayoral candidate Dipika Damerla speaks to us about her campaign, and why she believes her experience sets her apart from her opponents.
What has this woman done for Mississauga?? Nothing. Seriously. Name one thing
Do you have nothing? If you have nothing positive to say, please don’t comment.

@@dbmuir8683 Majority of citizens lost faith with self serving politicians. Hyperinflation remains out of control regardless who is elected.
They make all the talk before the election.

I'm a conservative and I voted for Dipika. She makes a lot of sense on taxes and community and transit. If MARC was her idea, then it's a good one. Landlords do have to be held accountable for their buildings. They are also accountable for the skyrocketing rents beginning post-pandemic 2022. Rents have doubled in that very short period of time. Mississauga is now out of reach for a lot of people. These are very complex issues which will take thought and work to fix.
Dipika Damerla bragged it was “her idea” for MARC mandatory inspections of apartment buildings. This can generate substantial RENT INCREASES through capital-cost recapture Ontario AGI’s which BENEFITS LANDLORDS! Mississauga tenants deserve the truth.
@@MississaugaResident Yes, I heard you the first time. Have you lived in an apartment building without inspections? They fall apart fast. No AGI but they fall apart fast. And capital costs to fix apartment buildings do not always generate AGI's. And if they do, it's small compared to what it costs to move today in Mississauga. The price of rent today on a vacant
unit, as opposed to the price of that same vacant unit pandemic and pre-pandemic, IS shocking. And that's got nothing to do with MARC.
Biggest looser…
Oh great auto theft moral panic
Liberal!
She came third lol.. you think one day she would finally realize her political career is over!
Blah, blah, blah, just another woke liberal.
🥱 okay another set of empty promises
