      Pixel & Bracket Hey Spencer! I appreciate the feedback! When I got on RUclips about a year ago I didn’t realize how much time I would actually spend making my videos the way I actually wanted them to look. Want to keep them interesting and easy to follow along you know! Thanks for the feedback! As far as the lawn goes, let’s see how the disease ex works out and don’t worry, fall will be here in about 4-6 weeks with cooler temps and rain will return. I have a big video coming about aerating the lawn and overseeding. This video will help anyone take back their lawn in the fall! Stay tuned!

    Thanks GarageGear - How much should you water during the summer? I live in the Northern VA area. I have fescue that I believe is beginning to show signs of disease. Although, it could also be stress from sun. Either way, I am so concerned about either over or under watering. How do you know the best water schedule for your lawn? I have a small lawn 600-650 sq ft.

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  4 года назад +1

      Chris Arnold great questions here! Typically I try to water twice a week. I try to put down 1/2 inch of water during each watering. Shoot for 1” per week! Usually I’ll do Monday And Friday one week then the following Tuesday and Thursday. I’ll keep flipping the weeks all summer long. Consistency is key. We have had some high temps all around the country lately. It’s no surprise issues start to pop up in lawns at this time. Stay consistent with your deep and infrequent watering and that should hold you over until the fall. I have a video coming out on this soon. Thanks for watching!

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  3 года назад

      At this point, the damage is done. You can try seeding lightly and watering 1.5 inches per week to see if it bounces back. In early September I do a huge lawn make over every year. I aerate, overseed and fertilize and in about ten days the lawn is looking good again. Temperatures have to come down a little. Stay tuned for that video. You could use disease x to slow or stop it further. Keep me posted and thanks for watching!

    Good video. New Home owner so just now learning about lawn fungus. I just thought I wasn't watering it enough lol.
    But question, I'm out of town I noticed the spots getting larger and I wouldn't be back home for a month so I had someone put that stuff down. Problem is they put it down a week ago and it's not supposed to rain until tomorrow. And my grass got cut yesterday, so it it still going to soak in when the rain comes or is it too late?

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  2 года назад +1

      Hey Antoine! Congrats on the new house. 2 things. 1. If the spots are getting bigger you may want to take a shovel and just dig up a small section or two. Peel the turf/dirt back and check for grubs if there are no grubs simply put the turf back and it will be fine. If there are grubs put down a 24 hour grub killer and soak it in. That should stop them from causing more damage. I don’t think this is your case but it’s worth a check. 2. The fungicide should be fine if it gets watered in later. Optimally you want to water it in right away but you should still get some decent results with it. Additional applications may be required. Keep an eye on it for a few weeks. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching bud! 👍
