All I will do is talk from experience here but: I have gained like 40-60 lbs over the past two years mainly because I lost my active job as a mechanic and starting a desk job and havent been eating well, also the gyms closed. I can tell you from personal experience, and I can't stress that enough, being overweight is a terrible thing. I am so low on energy, so low on self esteem, and getting back to the gym and losing it, is so so much harder than just maintaining a healthy weight. SO MUCH HARDER. I used to go to the gym 6 days a week for like a year and a half straight, and it was awesome. Being strong and fit is so useful. "Vitality is a big part of success"

@@BTBAMRulz it's the truth mate, we accept people being fat because it's their choice, but when they clog up hospitals and emergency rooms because they have heart, liver, kidney and cholesterol problems, and the slow hospitals whilst children and teens fall I'll and suffer. Most are gat because they cant be arsed to do anything about it, and it harms other people around them, their kids usually suffer the same problems as well. Obesity should not be accepted at all.
Cleo M I’ve never even seen an oversized male model in my life, there are way more women oversized models to advertise their clothing, there is no overweight gym clothes for guys, but there is for girls.
There are, you see them here and there when doing online shopping (i've seen them at places like ASOS). Generally speaking though, yes, there are more for women. It's pretty much just because society has this idea that we bash women more for their image and so on, but the only reason it will seem that way is because women fixate on it more IMO. Hence why they have more plus size models, the overweight women don't wanna feel insecure (even though it's something tons of people, even guys, go through every day).
@@seventhsseven Yea but who tf is gonna go work out in jeans and a polo? Most of these plus size people already feel self conscious working out at the gym and then you expect them to work out in jeans and a polo, on top of that? Lol what???
@@seventhsseven but a lot of the world is now overweight/obese. Are we just supposed to forget that they also need clothes? In order to get thin, you need to workout. I sure as hell wouldn’t have lost weight if I didn’t have a pair of comfy leggings and a durable sports bra made for someone plus size. My guy, go touch some grass.
As a gym rat, spotting a fat person in the gym not only makes you happy for them, it makes you happy and remotivates you for your own goals. It's just a beautiful thing to see, this person building themselves up with healthy habits after tearing themselves down for so long. It makes you proud of them, and it's encouraging. On the other hand, if you want to stay fat forever, that's cool, I was fat once. You can't tell me it's easy though. I know it's not. I got to believe you'd just be happier without the weight. You don't have to love your weight to love yourself. You don't need that shit.
It makes me happy to see a fat person in the gym since that person will be able to see drastic changes in their body within a month if he/she is consistent and then they will get motivated to be healthy by looking how good they look/ feel after a month.
yeah I was once a fat person in the gym too. It was hard but I did it. So for me seeing someone's journey start is exciting and I make sure to make friends with them and help them however I can
I went from 230 pounds in fat to 185 in a matter of a year and a half. My journey has only just begun. I’ve put muscle on to about 195 since then, and I’m gonna keep going. Once you start making the healthy life changes, it becomes an addiction to be fit. The first time I saw my biceps pop and my abs come out, it was a feeling like no other. All it takes is some dedication. I’m super tired of this BS where people think it’s okay to destroy their bodies with food because influencers and TV ads told them it’s okay. I’ve been watching a lot of WWE on peacock, and every ad I was getting was a Fitbit ad about fat positivity, and another one about trans athletes being able to compete. It’s not normal, so people are going to keep trying to convince us that it is. I’ll never fall for it. Me and many others are too smart for this propaganda.
white vanilla no dude not an actually plus model, just that mannequin at a store, he’s pissed about the mannequin. but I agree about the whole fat acceptance movement is pretty lame and unhealthy.
Actually no, plus size models are everyday women. It’s a major problem within the fashion industry that whole a category of body shapes and sizes are completely being dismissed because many companies such as Victoria Secret are much more exclusive instead of inclusive.
sorry sorry... if you want to see everyday women model, go to your local high st or mall. Models are meant to be people who have dedicated themselves to looking the best they can. Now personally I prefer to see fit women over the fashion industry’s waif women, but I don’t want to see huge guts and misshapen limbs. It’s just like sports, people pay to see professional athletes. People who have dedicated years of their lives to being excellent. What if men were like, professional sports levels are unobtainable. Make sure the teams have dudes that look just like my couch potato looking ass 😂
@@Cornerkid82 I'm not talking specifically about this episode. It's his actions and body languages in almost all the shows and podcasts he has performed at.
In my opinion, I'm an overweight girl and I'm working on losing it, gym 5 times a week and a balanced diet. Seeing a fat model in workout gear makes me see what brands will actually cater to my size without losing quality. I love my fat body at the minute but thats only because im working on it. Glorifying obeasity is disgusting. ps My Joe Rogan shirt is part of my gym clothes and I've had many compliments on it :)
abi kristina I respect it! I think plus size models have the right to be themselves and I find them very attractive, idk why Joe Rogan and them are hating
I'm not even overweight but I've noticed a drastic difference in my thinking ever since I'm browsing on online shops with a diverse selection of models. I'm no longer thinking "would this look as good on me as on the skinny model?" since it's such a variety of women wearing the same clothes. I neither view the bigger models with pity nor the small models with envy. They look all equally gorgeous in those clothes. It has really helped with my self esteem and I don't need to compare myself to any type of model for reference.
@ you do realize skinny doesn’t equal healthy right? Only a small amount of people are actually “healthy” eaters. Besides, it’s literally been proven that underweight people have a greater risk of death than obese people. So, stop judging people’s bodies and get your head out of your ass.
@@sonicice8340 I feel like you have to be trolling. Not one person in this comment section has stated their political affiliation. You literally CAN'T be this much of a buzz kill. I refuse to believe it.
Yeah, 90s kid here and I just can't with these people. People are so fat nowadays it is insane. When I was in my twenties I maybe had seen two or three people, maybe, that were as huge as they are today. That, and those people had underlying health conditions or mental problems like afraid to leave the house or something. It was rare. Real rare. Now it is celebrated. Now people look at me and assume I am a neo Nazi or a racist or something because I have shoulders that don't round, sag or look like they belong in a Microsoft intensive programing scheme. Because I look like a healthy man, I have had people call me a Nazi. lol... it's crazy times.
Only ten? If I don't watch everything I frickin' eat I gain kgs immediately. I have made the choice to loose weight, but I really can't allow 'any' slip ups cause I'll be paying for them almost immediately.
Well as an ex-obese person I will say I hate it too because they are saying “accept your body” which doesn’t seem bad. But then people confuse it for “Haha I can be lazy because I’ve been told to accept who you are”
I think it is ok to love yourself but at the same time you don't have to accept your body! I don't mind plus size models who encourage healthy lifestyles, who work out and try losing weight. I do not like the models that say "I dont care if im fat i love my body". That makes no sense. If you really loved your body, you wouldn't be putting crap in it.
Accepting an unhealthy body is basically accepting a negative thing in your life that has a pretty simple solution..If you want to accept it do it but never encourage other people to..if you are healthy you are gonna "accept your body" anyways so we should just stop saying it..It only has a negative effect
It’s cus fat hoes give the best head cus they know they are whales and want to keep you around with their skills. That’s why fucking a pretty bitch is like fucking a pillow, they know they’re hot and don’t work for it cus they don’t have to. That’s why you want an average faced girl with a nice body. It’s the best of both worlds lol.
Imagine being a model. Taking care of your body. Exercising, refraining yourself from eating whatever you like. Instead eating a strict diet. And comes along plus size "models" who eat whatever they like, lie around in their homes, don't even exercise, and demand equal job positions as yourself. Not only do they demand, but they also still get the job. I'd be enraged
So…Plus size models DO exercise and they DO diet. Just because you’re plus size does not mean you’re unhealthy. I know plenty of “skinny” people with all sorts of health problems AND eating disorders. We put in the work and we’ve finally changed the perspective of body image. You have no idea how many “skinny” starving models pass away because of eating disorders and some don’t even work out because starving yourself is much easier apparently. All photos and images are extremely edited and they actually do not look like that in real life. Don’t be ignorant man and do your research. Side note, Andrew used to be one of my favorite comedians and seeing this? Yea all set.
@@britt521 I think you and I are talking about different plus size models. I am not talking about the "plus size" models that look esthetic. I think he shorted actors just a bit. If you have ever had a camera in front of you and tried to act you will quickly learn it's more than just memorizing lines. For most people acting is pretty hard to get good at. It would take me forever to become a good actor. Also, a lot of them will gain and lose significant weight for specific roles.
Apart from their weight, most plus sized models are prety much the same as regular models. Flawless skin, good facial structure, charisma etc. It's not as if anyone can become a plus size model just by being slightly overweight.
@@theewildrose My comment argued that apart from weight, the standards set for plus sized models is largely the same as a typical model. Your reply to that is "But they're fat tho". What is your point exactly?
2 years ago I decided I needed to lose weight as my weight was really starting to take its toll on my body. I joined a gym and started going regularly. At first I found it really hard as I would get out of breath after only a min of exercise. I would get people staring at me all the time and it was so uncomfortable, I felt as if I wasn’t healthy or slim enough to be in a gym. If it wasn’t for one of the trainers who really took me under his wings and helped me to focus on my workouts rather than the people staring I would have ended up cancelling my membership.
Right?! That's what hurtful when people stare at you and make you think that you're not qualified enough to be there. People in these comments are so bashful as if it's really easy to hit gym and lose weight. Like bro I already needed a ton lots of courage to come out of the shell and these mean comments or stares aren't helping. Instead, they make us so uncomfortable that it's almost impossible to think straight and focus. And it's not always the gym. If you're overweight, you're destined to get critisized or made fun of anywhere you go, be it school, parties, shopping and on top of it, it's on daily basis. The inferiority complex and body consciousness is deep rooted. While already having serious problems which come with obesity like constant back pain, bad mental health is just a cherry on the top and these ignorants think insulting overweight people gonna encourage them to lose weight.
I thought it was supposed to be about taking aware power from people who tease fat women because obviously they have a harder time with weight and they’re evolutionarily more sensitive. Not about forcing us to accept fat models and not letting us say they’re unattractive; I think there’s some of that definitely but guys getting worked up about it are probably making assumptions that’s it worse than it is. Maybe, I don’t know. I don’t follow fat models on Snapchat.
@@nebulousisgod That is ridiculous, if you don't want to be shamed just take better care of yourself. Just cuz you're not smart doesn't mean you should be praised for having bad grades, it just means you have to work harder than the ones that don't study and get A's.

We shouldn’t be encouraging jerkoffs to shame others for the way they look, is all I’m saying. I’m not suggesting we outlaw hurtful words or anything, nobody needs an emotional safe space. It’s just not smart to make it socially acceptable to treat overweight people like shit for being unhealthy. Do you also go around telling people with lung cancer they look half-dead and they should’ve just stopped smoking because their appearance offends your eyes? Fuckin of course not. Go ahead and be a rude asshole to fat folk, just don’t think you’re gonna be praised for it. We should be uplifting one another with encouragement to be better, not just teasing and name-calling. Zebulous I didn’t mean that it’s okay to shame fat people, I meant it’s gonna happen whether usually passively. It’s not like people who smoke don’t get shit for it too especially from people they’re close too. I’m just saying let’s not give a trophy to everyone if they don’t deserve it. Insecurities fuel the most motivation and once people think it’s socially acceptable like vaping is now then they’re much less likely to change.
Personally I think it's nice to see plus sized models in clothing stores. It's not always about attention and its more about women actually using the model as a reference to see if the clothes could look good on a bigger body. I think we've forgotten what models actually do. They have a purpose and are not just eye candy for the male gaze.
I'm sick of [assumed straight] men always getting bashed for somehow being responsible for the size of models. If you want to blame men, at least blame gays. Gay men are totally over represented in top fashion houses - Lagerfeld, Galliano, Ford, Versace, YSL, Matthew Williams to name a few. and it all trickles down to the high street, but even they have their reasons for using small models and its nothing to do with the "male gaze." Models with proportionally small bodies, smooth lines and long limbs do not intrude on the flow of the fabric, their smaller dimensions are more accommodating to intricate cuts, and long limbs allow for more elongated styles which have a natural elegance. The integrity of the garment comes first, that's why models used to be called "clothes horses" and mannequins had the same dimensions because both were secondary to the clothes. We have however, entered an era where everything is about "representation", so now we have these plus-size mannequins that are even LESS realistic than their slimmer counterparts. Big or small, we all have similar sized skeletons. And without the structure of the skeleton to support them, skin and fat folds - especially around the back and waistlines for women (I have that issue myself). Yet the smoothness of the lines of these plus-sized mannequins is equal to that of the smaller model (pause the video and see). The fact is they're still adhering to the old rules as I stated above and so to achieve that smoothness down and waist and across the belly, someone would have to have an absolutely bizarre skeleton with an enormous rib cage and fantastically wide hips. They're not showing bigger bodies in a realistic way because that would mean mannequins with 'unflattering' folds, so to compensate they show unnaturally widened bodies instead and people actually fall for it. So admit these mannequins are about "representation" and not about showing what clothes would realistically look like on bigger bodies, because the mannequins themselves do not accurately represent what bigger bodies look like. Unless their target audience is some unknown neolithic race of elephant people.
Amen, there are RUclipsrs that lost weight and are very open minded when discussing these topics, i see them as genuinely nice people that would encourage anyone to lose weight and gain health. Just don't follow Instagram bootywork thots, they do nothing but work on their ego, and that puts pressure on people that wanna look that way.
First off if it takes someone else’s opinion of you to force you to change, you will never keep it off. Quit doing it to impress people,do it because you want to be healthy, let looking in the mirror and seeing the progress be your inspiration, not forcing people to tell you what you want to hear
Mousey Wowsey because they are trying to push that lifestyle on other and are trying to make it seem ok to be fat when clearly its not Do whatever the fuck you want, but as soon as you try to force that on me, its a problem
I get the annoyance with fat movement but you can't offset it by getting offended by a mannequin, no matter how fat or thin it is. It's just there to give different types of customers an idea how the dress might look on them.
Same with live models. Models are hired by clothing brands to sell clothes by showing what the garments look like on an actual human being. People of all sizes need clothes, and want to see how they look on someone of approximately their size and build before buying.
The fat mannequin should have some rolls then to give realistic image. Thats how these fatties actually look, without the shapewear flattening it out I mean.
@@growbydoing7290 not true. If this were true we wouldn’t have regular or petite size models. I’m petite, I need to see what certain outfits look like on someone with my body type.
Word. It’s harder for women to lose weight and easier to gain than for men, and I honestly don’t have a problem with a chubbier girl if she turns me on. Hot women often feel the same about fat guys. Fat folks in general have to live with it if they can’t or won’t get thinner and worldwide movement or no, it’s not gonna change how much dick they get or not.
That's exactly what I was thinking... And it's kinda true plus sized models used to just be thick ass women.. now u can be super overweight and be called plus sized.. Times just change I guess
Plus size models used to be really fit and healthy. They’d be about a size 14 (UK 10 in the US) and be completely toned. For the most part they were much healthier than the regular models. It’s a shame that it’s now just people who are obese
Modeling is marketing. If you want to sell clothes to overweight people, then show them what the clothes look like on an overweight person. Not that complicated, or controversial IMO
Most plus size models aren’t even over weight , they just weigh more than the standard model , also models are tall , taller people should weigh more so the fact that models are 5’9 and taller and they weigh 110 lbs is alarming
I used to work for a modelling agency and let me tell you that what you're talking about is some negligible fraction, the modelling industry is fraught with young girls going through extremely dangerous lengths to stay skinny, they are incessantly ill-treated for their appearance so even head-strong models eventually give in, and the demand for such models hasn't gone down a bit. Also many plus sized models that my agency booked, albiet extremely rarely, were actually quite fit, they were merely considered "plus sized" bcz they somehow departed from the existent euro-centric beauty standards. Anything outside of that is given a special label.
Agreed plus I felt that his comments on models in general were super dismissive and disrespectful. It’s an art form and a craft, he clearly has no idea what all goes into getting those images or that runway walk. Plus size models work even harder for their spot than traditional models, they’re not just “some bitch” demanding to be looked at for no reason
It's a one way street though. No one wants to see some fat dude modeling underwear, but Ashley graham et al expect to be thought of some trailblazing whatevers. Go do some crunches. Overweight isnt healthy and neither is being too skinny. People need to realize all that shiit is phoney and doesnt represent real life.
This is very true. Most women who are fat and wearing workout gear are actually working out. The skinny dude and his colleague with the tattooed eyebrows don't understand that women aren't all models suffering from eating disorders. REAL WOMEN don't look like a size 2. Also, some men are fat from diseases like Cushings Disease and for some women it could be PCOS etc. Also, the Samoan people and other Pacific Islanders are BIG PEOPLE. they are not thin at all, I don't see them throwing mud their way. Cuz they know if they do, the racist card will be thrown at them. I have seen people in Africa that were Ethiopean skinny just as much as I have seen plus sized women. Same in the Middle East. The ideology that women should be tooth picks and men should all look like meat heads is a RECENT IDEOLOGY, basically since the 1920s.
@@lawrencelenerd3988 that's true that's true. I'm just saying that in all cultures you have a variety of body types. However, each culture will have that 1 type that is most prevalent. Sometimes it is due to the food that they grow and other times it's poverty. Each culture has certain diseases as well because it's genetic. The problem is that in Europe and in the America's where you have people mixing and mixing as we have in the past 500 years through slavery, indigenous people's, and Europeans coming over. What has happened is that we have a conglomerate of an ideal body type that just isn't true. Up until the 1970s most people were fairly well clothed. Nowadays you can see more boobs and butt cheeks than ever before so people are becoming MORE AWARE of what the human body looks like. Whereas before, it was a bit of a mystery. Until you got married you may not have realized how hairy a man was and he didn't realize how much fat a woman has. Nowadays, it's like we are coming down to both men and women having boyish figures and we think that Is normal, and it's not.
If you eat and are fat, that's one thing. But if you glorify doing nothing and demand the same attention that models work hard for, you're the worst kind of lazy.
Let's be real while it's not my thing fat models wouldn't be employed if someone wasn't into it. It be like saying "I don't want anymore foot porn those men and women doing regular porn work hard while foot porn stars just sit there showing you their feet" you're putting yourself in such a no win situation that you basically owning yourself TBH.
models are not there for ogling, they're there to model clothes. Even large and extra large clothes, which is the most common american size. The fact that you just want to look at them because you think they're hot is your issue.
Xavier Gerrard there are different types of models. Most designers want people that look good wearing their shit. Victoria secret and runway shit should have standards. Mannequins don’t fucking matter
Did people forget that the whole point of models is to MODEL the clothing items so you see what it looks like and to get you to buy it, same goes for plus size models. They’re advertising to the plus size consumers.
Well there shouldn’t be “plus size” models at all. They should just be models, especially when you look at young girls purchasing clothing, especially ones who aren’t the typical “ rail thin” models you see on television or in advertising, when they look at these models who have a standard body type or larger, they are seen as plus size and that’s a big hit to the self-esteem. Now am I saying that you shouldn’t put work into your body, or into your health? No. I am 100% on the side of Andrew here in the portion where he says that it is enraging for large women to demand attention from me, when that isn’t the type of girl I go for. Overall this is just garbage, especially because you see male mannequins and they are all buff chads, but you never really see any dad-bod or giraffe boisss. In the end, every person likes to have representation when it comes to their body type. Like DSX who caters to larger men. Or PINK who caters to more athletic builds.
I think sportswear should have out of shape models, male and female. Because everyone starts from somewhere and not everyone starts their fitness with perfect athletic bodies.
I know when I was bigger and getting into going to the gym, wearing cute workout clothes made me feel better going instead of oversized tshirts and feeling frumpy - that's all I see it as - and stores encouraging people who are bigger to get gym clothes and get moving! It's not glorifying being bigger
@Tomislav Antic What media tells people it’s healthy to be fat ? Are you talking about specific sources or?? Because according to this comment section that’s not the case.
@Tomislav Antic The 'many' you speak of are just a bunch of cosmopolitan covers. Pretty sure they will print a few more if they get this much attention from you guys for it. The Adidas stuff just seems to show fat people working out. Funniest thing I saw was this short adidas ad of a fat Yoga Girl, doing a yoga move at the end of the video that 99.9% of the people commenting would be unable to do...and they were shitting on her for having a video that was encouraging fat people to exercise lol
@Tomislav Antic A person being a fat model has nothing to do with the media telling people it’s healthy to be fat. I hope you know fat people wear clothing too. Or should we just run around busting clothes open and hoping for the best by assuming all clothes will fit us and look good on us? Or should we just sit naked because you don’t like fat people ? Like dang , you don’t want fat people to work out but you also want them not to be fat.
True, but we shouldn't promote obesity like we shouldn't promote smoking. I smoke and I don't want to see a smoking mannequin. Because smokers excercise as well. That's just plain retarted
Lol that’s weird to me. Like wtf are plus sized models doing to him personally? Are they threatening his safety? Are they hindering his income or his constitutional rights in some way? Like nah he just gotta problem with fat chicks. Calm down bro. Not that serious
Man, I get the argument of it being unhealthy to self promote, or even encourage being obese.. But, this guy is looking at things all wrong. Listening to him speak pretty blatantly suggests that the job of female models is to be sexy so that men can "stare at them". Companies have obviously realized that, healthy or not, the physical shape of the average westerner has changed substantially in the last few decades. Like it or not, fat people need clothes too. Furthermore, as someone who has been unhealthy and obese my entire life, I certainly am learning the importance of nutritional education, heavy exercise and it's direct relationship with fat loss, and subsequently improved health. However, I have also learned that simply being thin is in no way indicative of a person's overall health and should not be viewed as the sole metric by which one's health is measured. Basically, don't hate the player, hate the game.

I do like that there are options for us plus sized models (not a model, smh no) for workout clothes now. Helps me go workout at the gym because I fit in better and go run because the workout clothes don’t chaff, are more supportive, moisture wicking. Yay, for including us fatties when creating these clothes. I used to wear 2 bras to support my Dolly Parton tatas, one underwire and one sports bra. I used to wear sweat pants and t shirt which were so uncomfortable while running and would get sweaty and chaff. Now I wear plus sized running pants, shirts and supportive sports bras and don’t worry about rubbing my thighs raw. Yes, I take full blame for being overweight and it’s been a struggle but I keep trying to improve. Never giving up and never surrendering until I’m dead. This is one of my big life lessons and I’m going to learn it. But, it’s not ok to say it’s healthy and normal to be overweight and sedentary. It’s ok to accept where you are now while working towards better but being in the spotlight as a role model means you are responsible for how you affect others and telling them it’s ok to be fat and unhealthy is irresponsible.
A large woman really doesn't affect anyone negatively. There is no reason to hate them. I'm sure they don't want to be large (just like anyone) but life gets in the way. Everyone needs exercise gear and there use to be a culture of only exercise gear for thin people, now times are changing for the better.
i don't think anyone is hating on them. We're just not okay with "plus size" being a type of model other people aspire to look like and demotivating people from becoming a healthy weight
Oh I think you haven’t checked the internet in a while. They WANT to be large and they WANT to be accepted for being fat. Which they shouldn’t. Either shut up and live your own life, or work out. What they shouldn’t do is try to force others into accepting their unhealthy lifestyle.
Ness Bear yeah I didn’t get the irrational anger towards that either. You want fat people to lose weight, but you don’t think companies should make workout clothes catered towards plus sized body types? What are they supposed to work out in? Garbage bags? Are they not afforded the luxury of buying workout clothes because they’re overweight?
Ness Bear Exactly like I really hate that shit. Stop pretending you care about their health and admit you just don’t like fat people. You have no room to talk if you also have piss poor diet. You’re an unhealthy person with the fortune of a good metabolism. If you’re healthy it doesn’t matter either. Stop to ask yourself what aspect of this person being overweight affects your life.
are you really that dumb? they just showed ONE example, u think those fat mannequins only display workout clothes? by making it easier for y'all fatasses to buy clothes, these companies are encouraging that kind of unhealthy and downright unsavory type of body.
I don’t think people should have a problem with this because they are just mannequins and they are already selling those XL+ size clothing- they might as well demonstrate it on a mannequin.
They can demonstrate it just as easily on a normal mannequin. If a fat person sees clothing they like on a mannequin, they'll go look for it in their size.
Elizabeth Brogan at 155 everything was right on me. Perfect measurements. Thick. Butt and boobs. no cellulite (NONE) no rolls, flat stomach. Fucking perfect. It was my favorite body phase.
@@ebg3624 That's just not true. Sarina Williams is like 150-160 pounds and clearly in fantastic physical shape. I'd even bet if she put on 10 pounds she'd still not look fat. It depends on height, frame, and build.
Maybe they want too reach a "wider" consumer base...or maybe marketing understood it wrong, when sales said we need to get a bigger size of the excercise market...
"Nike's got plus sized models." Thats when the room got cold. Upon finishing his words, joe realized something... He had stopped breathing. The sound of a needle dropping could be heard audibly in the silence that followed for a few moments, and when he finally let that long held breath loose, a plum of cold mist sprinkled his mike. This was Andrew's doing. Joe had learned over his many years, that there was nothing in this wold that enraged him more, that drove his heart cold and his blood to fire, then a plus sized model. "Joe," Andy said, and for the first time in a long time, Joe found that fear again, flinching at his words. "There is nothing, that enrages me more, then a plus sized model." "Please dont kill me andy," Joe begged, but to no avail, for Andrew was already atop the table, legs wide and straddling the mic. Atop the desk, he seemed a giant to joe, and he gulped in anticipation. "LOOK AT ME!" He boomed, "I DESERVE TO BE LOOKED AT!"

I know this video came out a while ago and the comments are old, but I feel like it’s important for me to say something in case someone else like me is reading through these comments, feeling discouraged. Based on many of these comments, it seems like a lot of people think that fat or obese people get there because they just don’t care- like they sit around eating pie and potato chips all day. I’m sure some obese people do, but the percentage might be less than you think. I gained 50lbs in two years and thought it was all my fault. I tried diets and exercise programs only to “fail.” Finally a pulmonologist of all people figured out that my thyroid is enlarged, and after some initial testing, it looks like I have thyroid cancer. I work out more than most people (over an hour a day) and watch what I eat, but I’m still overweight because of my underlying health issues. And ever since living in a larger body, I’ve found out that there are so many people with major health issues like me who have gained weight through no fault of their own! It hurts to know that there are so many people out there who look at my body and judge me. So if anyone has read this far, please try not to judge so harshly the next time you see a plus sized person. You never know what they’re going through!
Coz thats hypocrisy. He explained everything before that line. I am a software developer, i am supposed to b good at coding. I cant be shit at it and still expect companies to pay me or give me a raise.
Vishal kaushik honestly, I could not care less about fat people being models. Would I use fat people to advertice? No! Do I care about them being models? NO! And you don’t need to have some sort of ability to be a model like you need to be a software developer, you are just SUPOSSED to be beautiful, but hey, being fat sells, it sells to fat people. It is a business strategy, and it worked. But being offended by it, to me it’s just as bad as a soy boy being offended by a white model instead of some mixed race person.

I can tell you from personal experience, and I can't stress that enough, being overweight is a terrible thing. I am so low on energy, so low on self esteem, and getting back to the gym and losing it, is so so much harder than just maintaining a healthy weight. SO MUCH HARDER.

Plus models are actually really dangerous because it's gonna lead to people to accept being obese, stay obese, and die younger.

True, the same would go for comics as well though

While already having serious problems which come with obesity like constant back pain, bad mental health is just a cherry on the top and these ignorants think insulting overweight people gonna encourage them to lose weight.

Personally I think it's nice to see plus sized models in clothing stores. It's not always about attention and its more about women actually using the model as a reference to see if the clothes could look good on a bigger body. I think we've forgotten what models actually do. They have a purpose and are not just eye candy for the male gaze.
@Tomislav Antic u get no pussy
@William Schlass u think lesbians don't exist
@William Schlass she’s talking about store mannequins (also called models) which is what they’re talking about in part of the video
I'm sick of [assumed straight] men always getting bashed for somehow being responsible for the size of models. If you want to blame men, at least blame gays. Gay men are totally over represented in top fashion houses - Lagerfeld, Galliano, Ford, Versace, YSL, Matthew Williams to name a few. and it all trickles down to the high street, but even they have their reasons for using small models and its nothing to do with the "male gaze."
Models with proportionally small bodies, smooth lines and long limbs do not intrude on the flow of the fabric, their smaller dimensions are more accommodating to intricate cuts, and long limbs allow for more elongated styles which have a natural elegance.
That's why these ugly plonkers are so annoyed.

If you’re not a walking bag of junk food you don’t need to see how garments stretch and drape over lard rolls.
The fat mannequin should have some rolls then to give realistic image. Thats how these fatties actually look, without the shapewear flattening it out I mean.
Fat movement is a massive oxymoron 😂😂😂

Word. It’s harder for women to lose weight and easier to gain than for men, and I honestly don’t have a problem with a chubbier girl if she turns me on. Hot women often feel the same about fat guys. Fat folks in general have to live with it if they can’t or won’t get thinner and worldwide movement or no, it’s not gonna change how much dick they get or not.
the problem is that obese people consider themselves "chubby"
Find a woman who eats a lot and exercises a lot, like the people who lift, she'll be best of both worlds.
There's plus sized, and there's obese- sized. I feel like plus-sized from when I was a kid is the equivalent of thicc today.
Yeah man, plus sized women are hot as hell, this dude clearly doesn't know shit. There is a spectrum of body types, not just skinny and fat.

Modeling is marketing. If you want to sell clothes to overweight people, then show them what the clothes look like on an overweight person. Not that complicated, or controversial IMO
A lot like tobacco ads 👍
Exactly, they’re just trying to get paid too lol.
Yeah I get what they are saying, but if you can get money so what?
I get that. But they put fat “models” on magazine covers with some big letters saying “FAT IS HEALTHY” when it’s not.

The point of being a model is to model clothes
models are not there for ogling, they're there to model clothes.
Nobody asked to see those 3 extra eggrolls coming out the side okay
@@xGodWontSaveUx...plus size people did...to know how the clothes would look on them

Noah’s Ark Why you call em “plus size” when they just fat tho?
