Well said i want one of these but like you said most of them different engines are terrible. The 2.7 TDV6 is cheapest to buy because they have Peugeot engines, i personally dont trust french crap 😅 they are a nice place to be aren't they "when" they are fully working. Same goes here if i was to buy one it would have to be the 4.4 V8. They hold their prices well

Sadly Landrover never go it just right there was always common issues throughout the range but from my research the 4.4 AJ jag v8 seems to be the only proper option. Thanks for watching the video please subscribe if you havn't already 😁

@@theprojectproject22actually the 4.4 v8 is a bmw. The AJ33 5.0 is actually a jaguar engine properly developed in conjunction with ford is pretty much the same you find in ford mustangs . The 4.4 bmw is alright but the 5.0 is way better only requiring to change oils regularly and keeping an eye on the belt tensioner and the oil hose between the supercharger and the engine block. Is the only weak spots so check one or 2 times a year with an endoscope and for precaution change the belt tensioner bellow 85.000 kilometers. And will be an engine that will last till your grandsons. Have a good day from a LR aficionado. In case you’re thinking about the diesel engine it can be reliable if you solve the main problem with oil admission on the middle bearings( some bearings receive less oil because the oil itself is forced to pass inside the crankshaft, the explanation is on LR time on RUclips) so I came with the solution for my mechanic, I scanned in 3d the engine and surroundings on fusion 360 then made a baypass from the oil pump to the side of my mechanic 3.0 TDV6 with fusion 360 I determined where to make an admission hole on the engine block, now his engine receives more oil on the bearings that forced the crankshaft and ended up on catastrophic failures. The solution is easy. Course with fusion 360, solid works or Katia you can simulate your engine. I started with fusion but with spare money ended up with Katia, expensive but you only pay once also a tremendous powerful hardware is required for Katia but even nasa projects can be simulated.

@@rafaeloreirorodriguez5278 i think you getting mixed up with the the 4.4 in the L322 from 02 to 05 is a bmw engine M62, late 05 to 09 was the jaguar engine 4.4 aj v8. This is the same v8 you can get in the L320 sports. You could get aj 4.4 v8 petrol 4.2 aj v8 supercharged petrol, 5.0 Aj v8 n/a in some countries and the 5.0 supercharged aj v8.

@@theprojectproject22 curious LR only offered in South America the bmw v8 engine version till 2009 when it was replaced with the jag. Living to learn tanks for the info.

Water pumps and oil pumps are consumable parts which go on any car so hardly a fair comment to say don’t buy one because it happened on your mates car once!!!

Oil pumps are very common to shit themselves in these generation range rovers. So he is correct in what he said. They might be nice to drive and look cool. But we all know they are money pits. Wether it's turbo actuators that go, oil pumps, timing belts, air suspension, electric handbrake issues. Each car has issues. But Range rovers all round are plagued with problems. Anyone that says otherwise is lying to themselves. That's why they have depreciated massively and you can pick them up for next to nothing. Because each one of them will have some sort of costly issue.
