BMW spent 1 billion £ on the l322 Ford spent £250 million on l405 The newer ones aren’t a patch on them. I’ve had both sold the l405 and kept my 2 l332s 3.6 & 4.4tdv8 great video guys
Hi William, thank you so much for the positive feedback, we're really glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 What do you feel were the best parts of owning the L405?
@@lifeasusual the l405 handles better than a l322 has a little better mpg I had the 4.4tdv8 Acceleration was a little better . I’ve had both mine remapped now and there a lot quicker. But the 405 just doesn’t feel like a Rangerover should I’ve had every model of them from 3 doors to 405s and the l332 is the best the 405 is a better drivers car but the l322 is a better Rangerover
The visibility and sitting position thing is very real and very unique to L322! There's nothing quite like it! Mine is a '12 L322 5.0LSC and Cross country road trips are an absolute treat and feels like a safari bus lol even for rear passengers. I took my parents on weeks long car trip from Montreal - Toronto - Dearborn - NJ - NY - Boston - Vermont - Montreal, a trip of a lifetime. Never broke down on me on the trip lol though ofcourse I had to do a thorough pre-trip maintenance! These trucks are absolute beasts for road trips and are unfortunately wasted in the suburbs and downtowns in north america and never see their potential
I absolutely agree with you! 💯 They are the best on road trips! 😊 Wow, the route you did sounds incredible! Alex has seen photos of Vermont in the fall, and it looks so amazing! 🍂 My uncle lives in Toronto and he really enjoys the freezing winters there! 🥶 You're right, I feel that L322s are in their absolute element when they're out of the city, in the great outdoors, with a variety of terrains!
Just wanted to say hi! From a fellow ‘12 5.0 SC owner located in Toronto I’ve done road trips from Toronto to Boston and South Carolina in my Fiat 500… really looking forward to taking my L322 on a road trip!
Another Great Video 😀 These are some of the things i like about land rover, With a D3 you can fit a standard home under counter freezer up right in the back, the seats also can be laid flat. 10 practical Gem, lower the car to access height for exit, loading and eating from the rear bench. Keep the vid's coming.
Thank you so much for all your support, I'm really glad you enjoyed this video, and thank you for this 10th gem! That's very true, you can lower the car to be able to do all these! 😊 I love how Land Rover thought about all these things! 👍🏻 You just gave me another idea for a future video 🤔😁
Great video I actually prefer these older ones then the new one, also Peugeot 3008 early models have a split tailgate like these, I dont know how strong they are but they do have them which was pretty cool of Peugeot a shame they stopped doing them on the newer one
Hi Joseph, thank you so much for the feedback, we're so glad you enjoyed the video!👍🏻 Thanks for sharing this, I absolutely didn't know that Peugeot did this on the 3008 model, I'll have to search it and check it out! 😯
Glad others are in agreement that the L322 was "peak" Range Rover. I remember how disappointed I was when the L405 was released - it just didn't look like a Range Rover to me (especially with a few stylistic elements in common with the Ford Explorer). The driving experience in the L405 is the same - it seems to sit lower and feel more like one of the boring German SUVs. L322 was long a bucket list car for me, and I'm proud to daily a late build 2012 SC. It makes me smile every time I drive it or look at it. They have an intangible element of specialness that I just don't get from modern Rovers.
I agree with you - I feel the L322s are truly special cars, that's why I really love looking after ours 😊 If we look after them, they'll look after us. 😃
Thanks very much Rob, I'm really pleased you enjoyed the content so much, and found it valuable! And thank you for sending the Super Thanks, I've never had anyone sending me Super Thanks before, it's really appreciated! 😊👍🏻We will make sure that this goes back into the channel, to make better content 😃
Hi! Yes, for sure, something we can look into doing, but it will be later in the future as we have a lot of videos planned ahead, so it will be at some point in the future. 👍🏻 Thanks for the suggestion and for all your positive feedback and support! 😊
Hi Shane, I'm not sure if you know, but I actually replaced these cables once we got this car, if you remember ( ruclips.net/video/PdcbTIa38jc/видео.html ) but I bought the cable from Land Rover. And since it's a job that I did myself, then I can trust it 😂
@@lifeasusual I did the same thing! The casings on mine were a bit tatty and there was a bit of rust as a result, so changed them. The genuine LR ones are not much more than aftermarket ones, so best to get the real thing.
It's different because the L320 is based on a Discovery and it was the first Range Rover Sport, so they did struggle a little bit with doing that, so it would have been difficult.
Well explained,I have a 2011 Autobiography purchased New and it’s the best Vehicle I have ever had.
NEW!? Must be bloody made of money lol

Thanks for sharing, William, it's interesting to read the different aspects of owning an L405 😊 Keep in touch!
I've got a 3.6 l320.
A little jealous of l322 owners. But my car was very cheap. (Had to fix it immediately lol)

All very good reasons to use to convince my wife to buy one!
Hi Haris, I'm glad you found them valuable!! I hope the talk goes well and you'll get a Range Rover for the family soon! 😁

Fayed, I would like to see a TIming Chain ⛓️ replacement video.
Great job on past videos 📹

They have a belt. I covered this in a video.
Máquina!
Siii!! 👍🏻😁
Discovery 3 seats fold flat and I am pretty sure it's 1900mm ish long in the back
Hi Fayed - those tailgate cables are capable of holding two tonnes. But ... I wouldn't try it cos you'll be buying a new tailgate first.... 😂

L320 should have had the tailgate too.

Nice, but unfortunately you still can't sleep in back. Disco 3/4 is bigger
Of course you can, we did try and it works. 👍🏻
