    He threw for 316 yards that day.

    Tebow has as many playoff wins in that one season as the Lions have in the last 60+ years.

    Ryan's got to be tickled pink that you included this game of his hero! Timmy actually looked quite good, and not just at the end as he usually did. Still, Pit could have took control early if they had scored TDs rather than FGs. And Denver could have put the game away late by the same formula. Tebow made his plays, but the Denver D under Von Miller gave him his chance (They would sent Payton out on top 3 years later). I don't fault Elway for ditching Tebow for Manning, but I'm still mystified that no one else gave Tim a real chance. The problem was that he did not fit the mold of an NFL QB (Check out Money Ball for a similar mindset in MLB). Also, the demonstrative expressions of his Faith may have played a role. Let me postulate a hypothetical. Would he have made a difference with Cleveland? He could not have done worst than the sorry parade the Browns funneled through, and I believe that he would have done much better simply from his intangibles. The Browns would at least be respectable and not the total joke they have become. Ensure Ryan than he will find a way to be consequential in life, through in all likelihood not sports, Tebow's determination is invincible!

    Anyone that says Tebow is a bad QB can suck it. I’m a football fan and watched all of Tebow’s games that season and it was as one of the most exciting NFL win streaks ever especially since he was seen as an average QB. The drama, the comebacks, the gritty finishes and then topped off with that one toss in OT to win it. There is something about magic and team chemistry that is more important that A players with big stats. Too bad he ran into Brady and the Patriots. Would have been awesome to see him in the Superbowl. I rather see that than an “NFL” QB who just loses in the big games with no heart.

    • @obersports
      @obersports  6 лет назад +8

      Ben Dvorak I mean, I guess it would depend on how you define a “classic.” This game was instantly memorable because it was such a huge upset (8-8 team over 12-4 WC) and it ended in a memorable fashion, so I’d consider it a classic.

      OberSports When I think of great playoff games in the past several years I don't think of this one. And Denver got blown out in the Divisional the next week. It was a good game, but classic? NO WAY. Every Superbowl since that game besides 2 of them have been better games. Saints vs Vikings this year, Packers vs Cards 2015, Broncos vs Ravens 2012, Cowboys vs Packers 2016, Giants vs 49ers 2011. This game was a wild card game with an exciting finish, not a classic. And not mentioning the all time classics like music city miracle or super bowl 42, etc. 49ers vs Saints 2012. And for this game being the 1st game of the "classic" series. You're better than this. I like the rest of your content but this is disappointing.

      @obersports  6 лет назад +8

      Ben Dvorak Just remember though, my definition of “classic” may be different than yours. I consider it a classic because it’s a game everyone remembers for its wild finish and unexpected outcome (as well as being folk hero Tim Tebow’s best game as a pro). But I’ll certainly be uploading games that you’ve listed and games similar to those.

      @@lynnlynnson4921 He was a terrible NFL QB. He won a few games by handing the ball off and running the ball 70 plays a game. It worked against bad teams. The only people who think otherwise are Jesus worshipers who believe he was sent directly from heaven.
