Rookie Von Miller, Champ Bailey, Brian Dawkins and co. holding opposing offenses to less than 20 points almost every game is what allowed Tebowmania to even be possible
Very under rated historic defense two elite corners two elite pass rushers an elite safety that defense was scary
Yeah. Tebow would be trash for 50-55 mins then pull out a couple of plays at the end to win the game by scores like 17-13, and all the talk would be about Tebowmania.

It wasn't the best football. Not by a long shot. But I think the 2011 Broncos were the most fun I've had watching a team ever, just because every game, somehow, they'd find a way to win late in the 4th quarter if they were in it.
- The miracle comeback down by 15 against Miami with less than 3 minutes to go.
- The win against the Chiefs where Tebow only completed 2 passes.
- This game against the Jets.
- The two overtime victories against the Chargers and Bears.
- The shootout against Minnesota where they trailed with 2 minutes left and won it in regulation.
- And, of course, the playoff game against Pittsburgh
Tebow Time/Tebow Mania was so much fun. And as a 49ers fan, 2011 was such a great season to watch... except Kyle Williams :(

2011. To be young again. I was in 13 and in 8th grade and I remember this game well. The game-winning drive by the Broncos, and Tebow’s touchdown in particular, made me hate Tebow lol. Then he got sent to the Jets the next year and I was like oh alright I’ll take it lol
Also I remember watching that game against the Steelers too. That deep ball touchdown to Thomas was amazing. Wish we could all go back and just stay in that time
Dan Reeves used to play close to the vest and then when the game came down to the end, Elway would improvise a win. I loved the 2011 season and Tebow did the same thing, improvising at the end because the coach had no idea how to use him.
All of Tebow's games from the 2011 season should be NFL throwbacks. Please make it happen. And more Eli Manning victories too please.

As a qback, he threw 17 TDs, and 9 picks..better than a lot of qb starters or top backups..
And when given a chance at qback made more than his share of big plays.

So many people love to trash Tebow because he was not a NFL type of player but Tim was a SOLID person in everyway. No reason to talk bad about the guy.
Sure he was a good person off the field, but could not throw the football to save his life in a position where your job is to throw the football. I think that is why people trash him...

@@jamiemcbean6163 The rest of the AFC was pretty damn weak as well. In the regular season, the Patriots didn't beat a single team that finished above .500 and still got the 1 seed at 13-3. The Ravens and Pats practically made the AFC Championship by default.

I still remember this game lol. I had my newborn son close...sleeping. When Tebow ran for that game winning touchdown all hell broke loose. Screamed so loud and scared my son into a dirty diaper LOL
I remember coming home from school. Did my homework as soon as I got home because I wanted to see Tebow vs the Jets. Chris Fowler calling the game and the classic NFL Network scoreboard.

Before driving down the field for the winning score Denver had failed to pick up a first down on 8 of their previous 9 possessions. Tebow was 3-11 for 26 yards on those drives and was 0 for his last 7 pass attempts. Then he went 3-5 for 35 yards and ran for another 57 yards himself, including the last 20 into the end zone, which left Rex Ryan speechless for the first time in his life.
With the play calling from Mike McCoy and John Fox, and their combined success with QBs not named Peyton Manning it is quite amazing how much was achieved in 2011.
As great as the Peyton Manning years were it would have been nice to see what Tebow could have become with support! It is far from a given tat 2015 Peyton would have been better than 2015 Tim Tebow, but 2012 and 2013 it would have been no contest.
@@jenspetersen5865 Manning was washed and a non-factor the year the Broncos won the Super Bowl. Tebow would've been a veteran at that point, still in his athletic prime and thus assuredly better than Manning. Yes, Manning was a monster his first couple of years in Denver, but all that resulted from that was getting destroyed by the Seahawks. Broncos should've kept Tebow.
@@GabeGX Manning had tremendous impact on the playoff seed, the Steelers and Patriots game, and his smarts kept us calm in the SB50.
Tebow was far from a sure thing, but I do think that he could have been really good.
If your leader is willing to take hits and sacrifice his body to win, teammates are going to to do the same. No wonder Tim Tebow wins games. May not be as gifted as other players but his teammates are willing to fight with him and win.

Tebow couldn't do anything about it 2011 was the year the NFL and NFLPA were on strike so there was no players OTA and Mini Camps and by the time John Fox and Denver were in training camp, fox named Kyle Orton the starter cause "he was still under contract" even after Denver went 4-12 the year before with Orton as the starter also Fox focus so much on Orton that all Tebow could do was learn a new system and Playbook until he was named the starter which Fox went to Urban and asked for the Florida Gators playbook Tebow knew by heart so if there's anyone to blame is John Fox for being a prick to Tebow.
I love how Peyton Manning was suppose to win Denver a Super Bowl but they could have done it with Tebow cause it was they're defense that won Super Bowl 50. Matter fact all Peyton did was lose 43-8 to the seahawks.

I had hoped that when the Broncos brought Peyton in, they would have kept Tim as an understudy for a few years, just like the Packers groomed Aaron under Brett Favre. Denver could have had a dynasty. But the way Elway released Tebow was not one of John's better days.
