If he don't praise the hell out of it, he won't be able to make a review on a Ferrari in the future. His honesty in his last statement should be appreciated.
I would add that this is the perfect Ferrari for an experienced owner with a stable of other Ferrari’s but getting a little on in age and wants to daily a Ferrari. Once you become a diehard Ferrari addict you don’t want to drive anything other than the prancing horse. This is the Bentley, Aston, MB AMG for the tifosi.
@@septopus3516 Correct, it can strike anybody. Even some high profile youtubers say they like the Roma! Although they often wear either thick glasses or questionable outfits.
It’s a Ferrari and it has 620 hp. It’s going to be fine for everybody. Unless your name is Michael Nigel Mansell Schumacher, it’s gonna be more than you can handle so just get on with it. It’s a lovely car
If ferrari thinks a hardtop is not a bad idea, why Mercedes got away with switching to s soft too is beyond me. Soft tops on convertibles are stupid. Just get s coupe if you care that much.
@@MarcSob22 hear you but it’s a Ferrari. It should scream and sing from the moment it leaves the factory gates. The Purasangue can be left to sound muffled. Who wants that anyway?
Driving flat out isn’t this cars raison d’être - comparison to an F8 Tributo is silly. It’s like saying a Pista isn’t very good at being a GT. I’d imagine the M variant exists so it’s a bit better on the back roads when you grow tired of twat laps around Marbella etc 🙄 it’s a cruiser, everyone knows this
I love the Portofino M , amazing and gorgeous machine! And the sound is like this is the Euro 6 rules not because of the turbos, put a direct exhaust and the sound will be amazing!
A soft-top version of the Roma would be even better, I think (Who knows, with the speed at which Ferrari is putting out new models these days, they might build that too)
The reference to hairdressers' cars was probably mildly amusing about 30 years ago. It now just makes you sound like a grumpy old man who drives a Ford Fiesta and hates successful people.
Not bad, but too stubby, and cheap carbon fiber, and disgusting A/C outlets. Also not a V12. As Enzo said, and I totally agree. It’s not a Ferrari if no V12 in the front. This generic car could really be outstanding with no carbon, and improve the interior, and use a V12 only. I also prefer a traditional gearbox as this is a wimpy transmission. Too much electronic crap in cars today that will make great name Exotic Cars eventually a part’s car in a junkyard, and not a future car to appreciate and drive as well as collect. The last of the truly great Ferrari’s that have endless appreciation, and still can be driven are the Daytona and Boxer, and most of the car’s from the beginning of Ferrari.
Ferrari portofino is one of the car you can not see plenty of reviews, warm thanks to upload this !
5.5 minutes of praising the hell out of it, then 30 seconds saying actually it’s not that good? WTF Dan?
It's a good car, obviously it's compromised and not a pure supercar
Good car, not a great Ferrari
The final comments did seem a little contradictory with the rest of the video.
I though I was the only confused on his last statement, dislike 👎🏿

The engine is so strong...it's really quick.. We wouldn't have the slightest idea from this 'review'...
Is no one gonna talk about how he was at the diddly squat farm shop?😂😭
Looks so much better than the Roma!
What?!

Paying Clarkson's Farm a visit?
Picking up some taters.
Very beautiful car and nice work 👍

Is there pre-screening to purchase this model?
That opening shot of Dan seemingly from inside a hedge is ridiculous
Haha

We were on the verge of the double ton, we were this close.
I think sounds muted is diplomatic. Killed by the OPF and exhaust filters. What a shame…
Just put a modified exhaust and sounds amazing!

Nice thing. Wish it sounded like my F355.
I do like it. However, I could think of many other cars I would rather have for 175k. 50k too much if you ask me
Hopefully it deprecates catastrophically
@@tommymician121 I don’t think we need to hope…. It’s going south the second the buyer signs the contract 😂
So which (many) 125k cars are you thinking of?
@@SuperLaviathon actually, check the pre-owned market. They aren't.

Lovely GT, I would choose this over a Aston Martin. Come on lotto.
@ £175k before options it should be really good to drive. entry level for a billionaire...
Yes, I was thinking this is good, Dan likes it. Then he throws a grenade as the video ends..... 🤷🏻♂️
very fun especially on the wrong site od the road
BMW m8 competition. Same specs and $200,000 cheaper.
Did Dan pay a visit to Clarkson?
A good review...until a truly bizarre voiceover at the end.
I really enjoy Dan’s reviews but, and I don’t know why, the gesticulating hands irk me. Put them away! Must be some baggage I carry from childhood.
Feels like it’s a Ferrari for someone who already has a more focused Ferrari in the garage? Not that appealing really.
Best motor journalist 👍👍
From the side it looks like a ND Miata 😆
Stay off the LSD, boy

The Ferrari Portofino M. The M is for Meh.
Yep.
M is for "mom", your mom ;)
Just 7 minutes of a bloke chatting about a car rather than showing the car...
Go look on google images then you tit. This is a review not a showcase.
It’s 6 minutes not 7
Can we see the car not your man
