Nothing is wrong with his voice people. This song is just more raw and clean, less edited. Listen to the other released song off this album - self titled same "Council of the Dead". There are low screams in and throughout most of that song that sound identical to most screams on the TFC album. Regardless this band kicks ass and this concept album so far seems like its gonna be amazing, lets just hope it can live up to their TFC album. That one is probably one of the best I've listened too in a long ass while IMO.
I wonder if they are going to do what they did with Two Faced Charade and make the closer song a mix of the rest of the songs, but still have its own sound.

This one seems to be someone who was part of a resistance group who were inspired by soldiers to fight for their freedoms. But there are a bunch of others unrelated to soldiers. For example, One in the Chamber has been confirmed to be about suicide, and a lot of people are making speculation that Hell in the Headlights is about drunk driving.

Like, To Play Hide and Seek with Jealousy was great, but once I heard the rest of Two Faced Charade and learned what the song actually meant in the scheme of things, it became a lot better. Same thing here.
