Of all the album, this song here is the saddest one to me. The father is struggling to hard to save his daughter even in the face of death. Around (2:12 I think?) when the lyrics aren't clear and starting to break apart, but then regain focus makes me think of the father nearly succumbing to death untill he pictures his child and fights even harder to escape. Hell he didn't even want to be saved, he knew it was over for him, but he was begging, pleading, and arguing with his position, fighting for one more moment to say goodbye, to say "I love you". Its a pretty well written story, better then a few actual novels I read, they didn't kick up nearly as much emotion as this one song is. This band can go a very long way if they continue doing amazing works like this.
"Nancy is Jake's mom (Nancy is from The Fog and Jake from One in the Chamber). Nancy died in the hospital room that Bob had been in with her (Bob is from My Life Before my Eyes). So Jake became an alcohol abuser and killed Eric (Hell in the Headlights) by accident in a car crash. Then Jake couldn't take the guilt so he killed himself. Bob was the father of Daniel and Jarred. (The Killing Zone and Brothers in Arms). Jarred died saving Aisha (The Uprise) and Aisha is still alive. Daniel was not in the war and he could not please Bob (aka his father) so he turned to drugs. Now, Daniel and Zack had the same dealer so Zack told and lied to Daniel to steal all of the drugs and supplies from the dealer but was gunned down in the streets. Next is Bob, he was expecting atleast one of his sons to come and see him but he knew they both died so he had no one and died alone in the hospital because of a broken heart. Zack couldn't get over the fact that Daniel died because of his lies so he overdosed and died. At this point Aisha is the only one alive in the Council. I hope this helps you understand more or anyone :p"
Close. Daniel joined a gang. The initiation he was supposed to rob a store. Cops caught him and killed him. Then, zack turned to drugs. So close though!
I love how both albums use songs to piece a story together, like Two-Faced Charade when the guy is in love with a girl, but she has a boyfriend, then gets voices in his head to take her back, ending up with killing her boyfriend, then she finds out, then he knocks her out, then the music video of The Show Must Go On; then there's this, which from what I think, is about people and their tragedy that leads to another and so on and so forth, like a butterfly effect, and thus creating a council of the dead. At least, that's what I think of this album and it's story
Hands down the best song on the whole album. Me being a father myself, with a little girl, this hits me right in the feels. You can tell JT put a lot of emotion in this song because he too is a father. Weird part is my wife has been having dreams about a car crash for months. And I just started listening to this album two days ago. I hope this song isn't about me....
This entire album is just... a pure perfection, to this day. Every song is amazing and the stories are gut turning.. especially this one. The fight of a father who's only worry is if his daughter is safe and alive, and in the end..him accepting it because he cant hold on anymore, and begging god to keep her safe without her and for her to understand. This is a such a tragic life like thing that happens and its so terrible.... I hope anyone who has ever lost a parent is ok. and I hope those who passed look down and see all of us
you have no idea. i was in the middle of school sobbing to this song. Now that i think about it, no one even bothered to see what was wrong with me, if they even noticed XD
AH! I just noticed... this is in the perspective of the man who was hit by the guy from One in The chamber. (When the lyrics say, "I took a father from his girl.")
If you haven't already i suggest you listen to the whole album. Famous last words is an amazing band that deserves recognition. Greetings from Romania!
AhhhHHHH I GET IT!! Its funny because you said "lifted my spirit" and the albums about a bunch of souls being lifted into another existence!! You said no pun intended, but I know what you're up to there little mister, you should take more pride in your puns! Puns make us laugh and humor is essential to living as a conscience human, so I guess in some roundabout retardesque way that means you kept me alive today AND FOR THAT, SIR, I THANK YOU. We can all learn a lot from punsuous (punsuous: adj. Consisting of puns) individuals such as yourself. You are what makes our society carry on. To come up with such puns takes the mind of a innovator, constantly taking the clutter of spacious thoughts that back up in the mind and refining them to make room for the beautiful process of humor!!! I just hope the praise from that comment doesn't... GO TO YOUR HEAD :DDD!!!!!..... I'm done now
This whole album has my feels meter going ballistic. I've replayed this song damn near 100 times in 24 hours (that's not including the hours I've put into the rest of the album just over a day). The tears come in this song though.
So here is what ive got so far.... from the top The Fog is the mother of One in The Chamber and the room mate of My Life Before My Eyes. < His sons are The Killing Zone and Brothers In Arms. One in The Chamber is the man who hit the father from Hell in The Headlights. and Fading Memories is the friend of The Killing Zone.
Michael Charlton What?... And does anyone know the relation between the guy who died in the car crash's daughter and jarred the war hero guy? I think there's a correlation
Just the lyrics alone brought me to tears. I can't imagine what the rest of the album will do to me. There will probably be a river once the last song ends.
Shit makes me tear up every damn time but the album is worth every cent and has officially made my personal album of the year. Absolutely amazing, guys.
The stories of the people in the album are all connected, you just have to figure out the connection. OR You could just look the connections up on the net hahaha
I broke down crying when I heard "Daddy loves you, everything okay." powerful.
very
Jayson Mayott I never noticed that until now wow, here comes more depression but love this fucking band
Daddy loves you, everythings okay, *curl up in a ball, try not to cry, cry a lot*
+Eva Halleen cant. hold. back.. dem tears....
Enough to make a grown man cry
Everytime
It seriously blows my mind how connected their albums are to each song. These guys are complete geniuses.

How did you know Nancy and Bob were in the same room? I haven't found that in the lyrics.... :/
Nathanael Ginn the introduction video of Bob. :)
Allen Pamaong I will need to rewatch it :)
Close. Daniel joined a gang. The initiation he was supposed to rob a store. Cops caught him and killed him. Then, zack turned to drugs. So close though!
ThatRandomBlackGuy thanks
the last 50 second always makes me breakdown
It saddens me how underrated Famous Last Words is 😢
This is a band that really deserves to take off on their musical careers. Far too talented for how unknown they are right now
You can tell JT's emotion in this song is genuine because he himself is a father
*Daddy loves you, **_everything's ok._*
please no.. don't give me more feels
My real dad never told me that. Last thing he ever told me before he abandoned me for the second time was "good riddance"
@@danielmartinez3284 I'm so sorry to hear that. I kwon you will find someone to call Father. Never give up.
This is the saddest song on the album.

+Slenderps Vids there is a movie for Two Faced. "Two Faced Charade; The Story Revealed" is what I think the title of it is called check it out
He doesn't knock her out. He murders her, too

Dasu Barsan Dam, well congrats on being a father cX and Jeremy has a kid?! o.o
Siri Smiles The whole song is focused around his daughter, look at the lyrics.
Vengonva Huh o.o
being a father this song brings tears to my eyes.
Same. Idk if I can handle people telling me happy father's day
please be a good father for years to come, not all of us father's I bet u are a great father btw
This entire album is just... a pure perfection, to this day. Every song is amazing and the stories are gut turning.. especially this one. Not even all the way through and I'm sobbing.
you have no idea. i was in the middle of school sobbing to this song. Now that i think about it, no one even bothered to see what was wrong with me, if they even noticed XD
i cried the first time i heard this.
AH! I just noticed... this is in the perspective of the man who was hit by the guy from One in The chamber. (When the lyrics say, "I took a father from his girl.")
Marcus Miranda i noticed that too!
+Marcus Miranda everyone in this album is connected if you pay close attation ;)
+Evilboy012 Its so crazy how that works but its so brilliant.
This is why these guys are geniuses
This is my new favorite song and album, i started crying when he said, Daddy loves you everything's okay
If you haven't already i suggest you listen to the whole album. Famous last words is an amazing band that deserves recognition. Greetings from Romania!
Famous Last Words You have lifted my spirit with this album, no pun intended (:
AhhhHHHH I GET IT!! Its funny because you said "lifted my spirit" and the albums about a bunch of souls being lifted into another existence!! could you imagine if Famous Last Words and Alesana toured together? that woulds be so epic... can someone get on making that a reality?
They just annouced a tour together
Ironically, I got in a car crash with this song on my radio.
Damn. We're you ok??
Yeah but I don't drive with this song on now hahaha
it might be a curse lol
That's not ironic, that's actually the opposite of irony.. I hope 4 years taught you as much :P
Bruh...
The last 45 seconds kill me everytime
I love how all of these songs tell the same story, just from a different perspective :)
This album makes me cry... So heart touching...
This band is just amazing. The only metalcore band that will always have a place in my heart
I listen to this album while I play games and I'm really mad, it makes me feel like such a bad ass.
idk, can't make out any badassery out of an album that's based on tragedies.
*Badass
~ love your local Grammar Nazi :' )
This whole album has my feels meter going ballistic. I've replayed this song damn near 100 times in 24 hours (that's not including the hours I've put into the rest of the album just over a day). The tears come in this song though.
I've always loved albums that tell stories. Not the cliche bullshit these days about crying and using big words to describe a 3 day relationship.
"You spread these lies Just another way to justify" These freaking lyrics are stuck in my head all day everyday..
That's a good thing btw
This band always tells stories that paint pictures in your head..
BEST song in this album!
If you are correct then this certainly helps me out! Thanks :D
Forgot about that!
Michael Charlton What?... And does anyone know the relation between the guy who died in the car crash's daughter and jarred the war hero guy? I think there's a correlation
That's exactly right my friend :)
Jared Lussiana
I forgot about the poster in the bundle.
Fav song
I love how (unlike a lot of bands) these guys keep getting better album after album
Just the lyrics alone brought me to tears. I can't imagine what the rest of the album will do to me. There will probably be a river once the last song ends.
