    This is how I've been using it and it makes the most beautiful ringlets in my 2a-2c hair. Much more defined.

    Your hair is gorgeous!! I have 2c/3a curls and I bought a denman a few weeks ago. I’m still experimenting with it but so far your technique gives the best results in my opinion. I’ll have to try it my next wash day ❤️

      Thank you so much Love ❤️Oh that's so exciting!! Yeah I have used that technique a few times now with amazing results!! The only problem I have with it is my hair is usually pretty flat on top so if you figure out how to avoid that let me know:)

    • @Angie-bc7df

      MJ Lifestyle you’re most welcome 😊 I did a similar technique to this one, but only with thicker clumps. My hair is thick and long so I’m guessing it would take me ages to do any of these denman techniques. Although I had the same issue. My roots fall flat. I’m going to try and scrunch them with some lightweight moose after using the denman so they have some volume. It also helps to fluff out your roots. I’ll share with you when I have a technique that works ❤️

      @@Angie-bc7df Ahhh yes the joys of thick hair! I did a tutorial on my friend with the Denman brush (I have it on my instagram) and she has the thickest hair I've ever seen!! And that whole process took about 45 mins so it's not too bad😂 I have never tryed mousse before... What brand do you use?😉

      MJ Lifestyle I’ve used Perfect Touch curl defining curl moose, but I’m not sure if it’s available where you live (I’m from South Africa). Maybe try the Not Your Mother’s moose? I’ve seen many youtubers use it and loving it 💛

    Very pretty! Though you don't need a denman to do that. I used to wear my hair like that (we have the exact same hair!), but by flat twisting around my finger to make ringlets, then defusing. I got bored of that after a few years, then started brushing it out to make big body waves (which inevitably clump into ringlets again). Now I go for a slightly more relaxed look, (but perfect spiral), by rinsing the conditioner from my hair, with my head upside down, while gently coaxing the hair into clumps, then scrunching and plopping. Any pieces that don't clump, I flat twist twice (this clumps but encourages the natural curl pattern, rather than coiling the whole strand), then dry upside down. I don't use product when the hair is wet (no more frizz), except for coconut oil on every curl after it's dried, and some texturising spray. Hair stays cleaner for way longer, curls stay bouncy, and you only have to wash once a week!

    The results were beautiful!!! I have thick hair & a lot of it, and I just started my hair journey 3 months ago so I’m still finding out what works for me, and trying to repair it from 3 years of bleaching it so I’m not sure what my actual curl pattern is yet but most days I have a mix of 2b, 2c & 3a but I find that by day two, my hair is so knotty, especially near the nape of my neck, how can i combat this?

    • @mariejoylifestyle
      @mariejoylifestyle  4 года назад

      Thank you so much :) Haha thick hair is the best... a lot of my friends have thick hair and styling their hair is so fun (even though it does take a long time)
      The more you take care of your natural hair the more it will come out and it will also become more consistent. My hair took about two years and now almost all my curls look similar and almost every wash day it comes out looking the same!
      Regarding the knotty hair one of the biggest things that would help with that is investing in a silk pillowcase. That is been a game changer for me and i think it would really help you.
      How often do you wash your hair and also what products do you use on it?

    This is very interesting! A lot of other RUclipsrs I'd watched do Denman brush reviews preach about turning your brush the way your curl pattern goes, which is a nightmare for me because mine turn completely at random, so I would have to mark every single one and the direction in which it goes. But it looks like your curl pattern did not break even though you alternated between going towards your face and away from your face?

    • @mariejoylifestyle
      @mariejoylifestyle  4 года назад +1

      I have seen those videos as well haha
      I have found tho that my hair dries in the way that I twist it with the denman brush. However if I use my fingers to twist my hair then I find that the curls do whatever they want. so the denman brush really is key
